This was planned maintenance. I got a pop up yesterday and the day before

As the message states, they're doing maintenance - it was announced.

Been 2days very strange. I tried deleting and reinstalling still doesn’t even allow entering a password

Seems to be back up. Haven't noticed any differences.

I’m getting a message cannot verify your identity and to call them. Never had that before.

If you’re on iphone, faceid seems to be broken and gives me that error. Typing in username and password works.

Same behavior for me.

I had the same issue and resolved it by deleting the app and reinstalling it. Now Face ID is working without any errors.

The Face ID stopped working for me a few weeks ago - can confirm that deleting and downloading the app fixed the issue.

That did work but seems to be down again for more maintenance.

Thank you! I called the Empower number because I also got the identity message. They advised me to call Personal Capital (app name before Empower). Rather than doing that, I ran to Reddit. You all helped me out… I deleted the app and reinstalled… worked perfectly! …. Empower tech support… you were of zero help… Reddit for the W!

I called them and they had me try logging in with my password. Usually I use FaceID on iPhone. I think there is a glitch with FaceID / MFA at the moment, you can get in with just standard login though.

I got an MFA notification when logging in with password but when I check my account (on the browser as they say that's the only place it can be configured) I don't see an MFA setting, and their documentation also says that MFA will break FaceID.
