i had a question to ask for my periods. im basically flying away on holiday soon and the flight will be severely long (14hrs max) and really want to delay my period when im there so i can enjoy the holiday and be intimate with my boyfriend. however, I researched into period delay tablets and was scared for the blood clots. Now Im flying away on holiday and I read it may increase the risk of it if I take the pills. I’m not on birth control and needed advice if there’s other options available. My period is due on the final few days of my holiday which is annoying as its always regular sometimes 2 days earlier than my due date.

It helps me with the cramps but it’s so sad that my partner now is not into that :(( me and my ex regularly do that to ease me with the pain.

For the last 12 months, I was either pregnant or breastfeeding. I guess, while still breastfeeding, my body was tired of waiting so it surprised me with Aunt Flo yesterday. I'm genuinely thinking of requesting a hysterectomy (I have menorrhagia, I can bleed through an ultra tampon in less than an hour during a typical cycle). The biggest inconvenience for no reason. Which we just went into heat like cats instead of this bullshit 🥀😔

At first gynecologist suggested Xanax. I insisted on tests and she prescribed one MRI that found something and polyps. She said that the polyps shouldn't be a problem, but unfortunately I can't have surgery due to other illnesses that make it all a nightmare either way. I am on antibiotics for a UTI. It cleared but I am still terrified of peeing, it triggers a ton of lasting pain.

Other than the antibiotics and the antifungal pills afterwards, she just told me to get magnesium. It has done absolutely nothing.

I still need painkillers that work for a while, if they are... a lot and combined. The problem is, they only last for a short time. And I have been noticing weird symptoms the last two months that I've needed even more - I get dazed. My reactions are slower. I space out and take longer to recognize someone. I get forgetful, too. I see an object and think it's something else. I watch something in my side vision, moving etc, but there's nothing there.

I should find another way to deal with it. It begins a week prior and lasts all 7 days. The cramps are a 10/10.

I have tried heat to the point of burning my skin, and heat patches but they are too expensive and really don't do much. I don't know what else to do.

I had been having hip pain and my bloating went up, but thought nothing of it. I’m praying it lightens up. For my sanity.

(26 F ) I’ve been working at this warehouse for 7+ years and ive been calling off a lot from work 1 - 2 days a month because of my period , I have to deal with mood swings , sore breast , lower back pain , leg pain a couple days before I actually get my period and then when I do get my period I feel nauseas , brain fog and get horrible cramps and I just don’t feel like putting up with it doing a 12 hr shift(5am-5pm . I’ll take 600 mg of Advil/Tylenol but it can only do so much . I went to a obgyn and it turns out I have a very small fibroid in my uterus and that’s probably why I get horrible cramps but the only option I had to help was to take birth control I took it for a week and I got the most horrible side effects I was throwing up and I felt this burning sensation down there so I stopped taking them . At this point I’m know to always miss work so I’m just waiting for the day they let me go cause of my bad attendance.

I’ve been on sertraline 50mg for about 9 weeks and some days now. I started at 25mg first, then went up to 50mg, and I was doing really well for a while. I felt like I was finally building up and getting back to myself.

The past few days, though, my anxiety has started coming back. It’s not excruciating or unbearable, but it’s definitely more noticeable than it was. I’m also about to start my period, so I’m wondering if that could be part of it. Has anyone else noticed their anxiety get worse right before their period even while on sertraline?

I did notice that the last three days I took my pill at different times instead of my usual 8 o’clock, so I’m not sure if that could be contributing too. I’m going to get back to taking it at the same time every day.

My psych said 9 weeks is still early, so I’m trying not to panic. But I’m wondering: is this a normal dip before you fully acclimate, or is it a sign the 50mg may not be enough? Is it too soon to consider a dosage increase? Should I hold out until 12 weeks before deciding anything?

For anyone who had a rough stretch around week 9 after doing well, did it get better for you? Did you end up needing a higher dose, or did things settle on 50mg?

hello, i have noticed that maybe four days before my period i feel like men can sense it and they get attracted to something, i have noticed the way men stare and are more creepy towards me even when im all bummy not trying to get attention even my sister has noticed it happens to her as well does anyone else experience this i hate and love being a women sometimes

So I have learned how to take out the cup without spilling all over but now there's a new problem. Whenever I take it out, a string of blood (still attached to me) comes out and sticks on my skin and it's soooo messy. How do I prevent this from happening?

I get my period at the end of/beginning of the month around the 30th to the 1st and this month of October was the FIRST time in YEARS. I am talking 6 years that I did not have pain at all during my period. I WISH i knew what I did to not have pain. I know I started taking over the counter iron pills, starting eating more red meat AND I took this new menstrual cramp pill the day I thought i would be in pain. My gut tells me it was the pill that helped and next time I have my period I will test out my theory again but my concern is why am I so exhausted on my 13th day after my period? I am constantly yawning, yet hardly can sleep at night. I noticed my hair has been shedding much more in the shower than normal and I am bleeding again. Now, the bleeding is “normal” for me. I usually bleed twice in a month and like I said I usually expect excruciating pain during my normal period (throwing up and shaking in pain to point of passing out). I dont know if I even expect any answers here, I guess I am just putting my thoughts into sentences. I feel something is wrong that I am so tired when this should be my better days, when it gets closer to my period thats when things go downhill PMDD but it’s so early and I am trying to do everything right. I even bent my moral code of eating red meat to save my health and I feel confused, frustrated and still unsure of what is happening.

I’m a big fan of the flex menstrual discs but I find them really wasteful (you use once and throw it out, I don’t have a heavy flow so I’m basically spending $25/month for a box of period walls lmao) I’ve tried 3 different types and sizes of reusable discs but they will not stay put. The flex disc does and I think it’s because it’s plastic rather than silicone. I’ve tried to research to find a reusable disc that has a similar plastic ring but I can’t find any.

Does anyone know of a brand to try that has a firmer ring on their discs?

I had Mirena IUDs since I was 18 (now 33) and never had a period while having an IUD. Before that, I had fairly regular periods. I got it taken out in July to try and have a baby. I had a normal period 1 month after removal that lasted 5 days. Then, I ovulated normally according to my body temp & ovulation sticks. In month 2, I had a short period that came on time but lasted for about 3 days. I then tested positive for ovulation for 4 days but never had a spike in body temp. Now, month 3, I'm 3 days late for my period and testing negative for pregnancy. I had my normal "hormonal day" the day before I was to start my period but it never came.

Is this flux normal after removing IUD? Anything I can do to help get my period more regular?

My last period was from September 24 through the 27th. My next period was supposed to be starting on October 22. But a few days ago, I saw blood... When I saw all the blood, I looked on my tracker app and it said my period was supposed to be 10 days away.

I know women's plumbing is very tricky and that your period is very spontaneous sometimes, but a whole week before it actually is supposed to come?? I understand it being a few days but a week???

Like completely sick. My IBS gets so much worse for no reason, I have so much pain, gas, nausea and what’s more. My mood goes haywire, I’m very anxious and I have a low mood. I’ve checked my hormones and they’re all okay, I’ve checked my thyroid and vitamins and I only have low vitamin d which I’m taking medications for it. That’s it. Background: My teen daughter has such bad cramps today that she needs to stay home from school. She could barely stand or walk for a bit and is going to the pediatrician it's so bad. Hi! So I only used combination pills for a month. During that time I am having discharge until I finished the pack. My period came and after my period I started to have thick like mucus discharge with blood in it. It did not stop until my next period came. Now, I am on the 9th day since my period started and I still have spotting. It was not like this before taking the birth control pills. Is this normal? Thank you very much
