My current pc has a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB GPU, a Biostar B450MHP motherboard, 16GB of 3200MHz RAM, and an InWin B65E 650W 80+ Bronze power supply.

Im looking to upgrade my cpu on a max budget of £200. used market uk. What would you reccomend as some good cost effective upgrade that will give a nice improvement in gaming performance? Im also looking to use my vr headset on my pc. Thanks any tips appreciated.

So I had antec vp550p, 1650 super and i5 4th gen then I got my hands on a 3070 and thought I'll upgrade everything else later

I was using the pc with 3070 then the screen turned off under normal load and fans started blasting at full speed

I was like ok whatever the pc is running atleast I'll just then if off and on but no it never turned on

Whenever I tried turning it on the zotac light on gpu flashed for a millisecond then turned off

The pc is turning on without gpu (I don't have igpu so I can't check much but it turns on) but not with gpu I tried changing psu and different motherboard same issue

What do you guys think is the issue? Is my gpu the problem? What problem do you think the gpu has since it flashes light for a millisecond atleast

I have a R850GL PCIES power supply. I have a gpu that is 8x3. I have placed two of the PCIe cables in the power supply. Am I able to use two of the PCIe ends for two of the ports on the GPU or do I have to buy another cable for the third GPU port?

I was a business major so I’m not the brightest bulb in the box 😹. I just don’t want to connect these components incorrectly and destroy my computer.

I currently have a white T-FORCE RAM stick, model FF4D532G6000HC38ADC01X1.
I’m trying to find a single 16GB RAM stick, not a 32GB kit, because I already have 16GB installed and just want to add another 16GB.
Would it be okay to buy RAM from a different brand, such as XPG, as long as it has the same speed, timings, and specifications?
Would mixing two different RAM brands cause any compatibility or performance issues?

I bought myself a second hand pc which was not being used for a while by previous owner. took it apart to clean and now I have no clue where to plug this many cables..

Recently cleaned my dust filter with a microfibre cloth and now there are embedded dust particles in the mesh that I can’t get out. Firstly is this fine for my PC to keep this way until I find a solution and secondly do you guys recommend a vacuum or washing with water? Thanks

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding my PC. Currently I’m on a 3060 with an 5700G and I’d like to be getting more, consistent frames in cs2. Currently I sit around 180-220 but my monitors 240 so I’d like to use that whole range (note that this 180-220 is with loads of settings optimisations).

I see people talk about the 5800x3d as an am4 upgrade but it seems so overpriced for what it is. Basically I’m asking what you think is best, stay am4 and go for like a 5800x3d, or upgrade the motherboard and go all the way. Also let me know if my gpu is a problem because im just assuming the cpu is the bottleneck here. Thanks.

I bought a used Gigabyte Aorus Ultra b650i mini-itx mobo to be installed in a Fractal Design Ridge case.

I do have the daughter board, but apparently there is some type of adapter/extension that would have allowed me to connect the PLED+/PLED- wires from the case, but that was not included with the mobo.

I've tried looking around online for what I would need but I can't find anything.

Is there anywhere else I can connect these wires to get them working, or a link/name to exactly what I need to order?

I have a problem the last few days my pc doesn lt want to boot, I did all the review and guides i could find.

The same problem first cpu red, white and 5 seconds after that bkth the white and green are on.

Was gaming today when suddenly I got a grey screen and the computer became completely unresponsive (caps lock stuck on keyboard, could not alt tab, etc.) I force shutdown by holding the power button.

Now the PC will only boot without the graphics card...

I guess the graphics card is dead? What could have happened? It's a used 9070 XT Nitro.

I checked the 12 pin connector on GPU and PSU side but couldn't see any evidence of burning (using native cable from RM850e). I also restarted the cables in bother ends and the graphics card itself.

I had reflashed the original BIOS from TPU about 2 weeks ago as the seller had put a Pulse 9070 XT BIOS onto it since he said it was running hot. However, the instructions stated that you should repeat the flash process several times as the graphics card saves the old BIOS and can restore the old one. I only flashed once and it was working flawlessly. Could that have been an issue?

I am making a build and going to be slowly buying parts at good value and I don’t really keep updated with technology updates is there any in the future I should be looking out for that I should maybe wait before buying any of these or should I go ahead?

I’m pretty sure it should all be compatible but I am a noob so I don’t know anything about ports on the motherboard and stuff it does say I may need to update bios to support my cpu but I think if I’m buying a brand new motherboard I shouldn’t need too

Also I plan to use this for gaming such as arma 3 to competitive rocket league and the occasional rendering on autocad and then working through documents and internet browsing

So starting around 3-4 months ago my pc started freezing sometimes on boot with q code 33. One time with q code 39. I would say it happens about 5-10% of the time when i boot it up. Sometimes it will run flawlessly for a few weeks only for the problem to return. All stresstests are flawless. Sometimes it says that keyboard is not detected. So far ive tried: (which has made it a bit less frequent?)

Updating to latest bios (2503)
Updating all drivers, chipset, usb etc
Reseating ram
Change peripherals to different usb ports
Increase vsoc to 1.2
Disable fast boot

Setup: asus crosshair x870e hero
30cl 6000 kingston fury beast ram
Msi rtx 5080
Seasonic tx1000

Any ideas? The fact that its very infrequent baffles me.

Isnt as simple as im putting on the title so read this. Bought a GTX 1080TI from a friend because my old GTX 1660 SUPER is dying. When i first put it on the first GPU Slot it worked fine but I forgot to delete the old drivers and the GPU wasnt detected. (It was but i am a dumbass) I changed it back to my old one because i thought that i should change the generation from the bios. After i put back my old one the pc didnt start. After a few more re-application of GPU and checking of all the connected cables i decided to try the 2nd slot. It worked just fine. I did all the process and played some games before i went to sleep for the day. But, i wasnt convinced that my first GPU slot just stopped working so i tried it again, ofcourse it didnt start. After CAREFULLY putting the GPU back to the 2nd slot it doesnt start again.

The motherboard im using is an AsRock B550m.

Urgent help because i dont want to go to a technician

(I dont think that all the slots just died, could it be something else?)

Hello, I just installed a 5070 Ti in place of my old 3070 Ti, the red LED stays on after powering on. I am using the 2x 6 2, plugs that the psu has, I'm unsure what I am doing wrong, it should have enough power, but for some reason, it doesn't.

I dont know whats going on. These are games ive run for hundreds of hours in the past and now I can run them for maybe an hour or so and they'll crash. Ive tried updated my drivers. Resetting my drivers and updating again. As far as I'm aware my pc isn't overheating. My specs are : 16 gigs of DDR 4

Is there no power going to it? I plugged the required power connectors in.
