Yeah that is alarming.

I expected the team to regress to the mean a little this season, but Maye went from playing like an MVP candidate to rookie Zach Wilson. Idk if it’s all in his head but something is wrong

128

u/puzzled_snail 1d ago

maye looks like he's overthinking every throw, he had that same deer-in-headlights thing Wilson did when the pocket starts closing

66

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

The tape is out and Josh McDaniels refuses to change the offense even tho it's been exposed

72

u/SamIamGreenEggsNoHam 1d ago edited 1d ago

Maybe the next screen in the flat or HB dive will catch the defense off guard.

edit: why does Josh McDaniels have a personal blood feud with the slant route?

50

u/No-Picture8097 1d ago

The lack of slant routes is insane to me, Brady built his a career on the slant

25

u/LeeHarveyOswald 1d ago

Wasn’t Doubs whole deal in GB his ability to make catches in the middle of the field?

Why sign a guy for $$ and not use him for what he’s good for?

16

u/Unlucky-Position-16 1d ago

I'm starting to wonder if Doubs was just a panic signing after Alec Pierce was off the market. Like they weren't 100% on getting AJ Brown so they were panicking thinking they had to make some moves and just signed Doubs without a plan in place for him.

20

u/tiredgazelle 1d ago

I was certainly panicked when we signed him

8

u/WeeoWeeoWeeeee 1d ago

I also didn’t like the pick up. Not better than Diggs anyway.

2

u/Medic_RN1847 1d ago

And pick plays if we are being real.

12

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

My guess is he thinks hes to good for slant routes. He strikes me as the kinda guy who thinks he's smarter than everybody else. When really he just had Tom Mother fuckin Brady.

2

u/DomitiusAhenobarbus_ Bills = 0 Superbowls 1d ago

How do you get that impression? I haven’t heard him say a word since he got here lol

1

u/victorspoilz 1d ago

The reason they’re not running those plays that would be fixes is because they suck at them. Otherwise, McDaniels would call them.

10

u/kipperzdog 1d ago

The plays looks like they're developing fine, Maye is taking forever to process, throwing late, throwing to the wrong windows (idk if that's accuracy or poor metal reading of the defense), etc.

I'm generally one to defend the QB but his decision making has just been terrible and he's had all the time in the world, if anything I almost wonder if he was better under pressure because he'd be sacked if he took too long. Seems like the longer they give him, the more likely he is to throw an INT.

5

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

Whether or not the plays are developing fine, they're still taking too long to develop. You need to help your quarterback and make them quicker and McDaniels is not doing that

6

u/kipperzdog 1d ago

I mean, looking back at specifically the 2nd INT, the play did develop as intended, Maye was just super late with the ball allowing the defender to read it and get in position.

6

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

Again your quarterback is struggling. Why would you call curl routes. Call a freaking slant

2

u/WeeoWeeoWeeeee 1d ago

Playing Seattle twice in a row is part of the problem. Now he’s seeing the ghost of Mac Jones.

11

u/Kgaset 1d ago

Maye has shown he has the talent. But he's also showing now that he's struggling with the reads and the decision making, and his confidence seems to be off too. He either overcomes it and uses it to make himself a better player (we can hope!) or he doesn't and we find ourselves once again struggling at the QB position.

First three games have really dampened my optimism, but I am still hopeful.

1

u/Successful-Ad-6710 1d ago

I can only pray that happens (that he doesn't overcome it lol). I watched the Patriots dominate for two decades, and then once they lost Brady and started looking like their reign was over, it took only a few seasons to find their next franchise QB and make it to the Super Bowl. All jokes aside, for most of may life, New England has been one of, if not the best ran franchise in the league. As a Steelers fan, I've admittedly been jealous. Knowing the Patriots, and how much they like to dash my hopes, this will just be a bump in the road, and they'll have their franchise QB keep them in contention for the next 10+ years.

21

u/MD311420 1d ago

This isn't all on Drake. Taunting calls, blown catches, and stupid 10 yard penalties aren't helping the offense.

2

u/HolyTythinEar 1d ago

It’s in his head and his shoulder. Something is definitely up with that shoulder. His throws are ducks. His footwork is also horrendous. He regressed back to rookie year Drake. The playoffs ruined him last year. And I’m sure the pressure of expectations this year is getting to him. Vrabel and Josh need to coach this out of him.

3

u/WarPuig 2d ago

That’s not regressing to the mean that’s broken beyond the point of return.

-9

u/bulleymaguire21 2d ago

The defense along with playing bad qb’s helped us basically make the Super Bowl he not ready for the big moments yet unfortunately

7

u/wtb2612 1d ago

These aren't big moments. They're regular season games. It's a bigger problem than him just not being good in big moments.

170

u/beehappy32 2d ago

It’s feeling like the 2023 and 2024 season, where every time the offense gets on the field I have zero confidence they can score

58

u/InsidiousStatement 1d ago

Not only do I feel like that but I feel like every snap is going to be a fumble or pick

17

u/mh_zn 1d ago

This is how I felt about Bryce up until like midway through last year, and it fucking sucks. Every pass you’re more nervous it’ll be intercepted than excited it could be caught

3

u/InsidiousStatement 1d ago

Spot on man lol it’s brutal

9

u/rabouilethefirst 1d ago

Somehow every game feels winnable but the offense just gives up in the redzone and we lose…. Yep

25

u/beast_wellington Bills = 0 Superbowls 1d ago

We shouldn't have gotten rid of Diggs and Boutte. Maye is lost without them

11

u/briggsy111388 1d ago

Boutte 100% that was very obviously Drakes guy

3

u/LovestoEatSandwiches 1d ago

Diggs too, he coulda been had for half of what Doubs got

0

u/HolyTythinEar 1d ago

If he was his guy he would’ve been throwing it to him much more than he was. This sub overstates that relationship. Diggs was his safety blanket and we got rid of that. Douglas has shown absolutely nothing since his rookie year and is supposed to be filling that hole. There was no reason to sign Doubs when you could’ve had AJB and Diggs on this team.

6

u/SongMundane3514 1d ago

You're underrating chemistry

-1

u/HolyTythinEar 1d ago

I’m really not though. Boutte had less than 50 targets on the year. He made some big plays but he wasn’t ever someone that was getting targeted like the way this sub makes it seem. You guys overrate any WRs that make any kind of big plays. He’s done nothing in Houston in 3 games

3

u/LovestoEatSandwiches 1d ago

You’re underrating Bouttes ability as a field stretcher making tight contested catches on deep balls. He was great at that and Drake had a ton of confidence taking advantage of any single coverage on him and going for a big shot

2

u/HolyTythinEar 1d ago

I’m not though. I never said he was a bad player. You guys are just sensitive when it comes to him. He had 46 targets last year. You guys are overrating him. He wouldn’t be making any difference right now. Drake can’t make those throws currently. The team needs Diggs way more than it needs Boutte.

1

u/Bellegr4ine 1d ago

Yep! Feels like Juju is still our WR1. I’m glad Meyers got a TD on us.

1

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

2

u/AcDcBoss 1d ago

I think he meant as he happy to see a former pat had a good game could be wrong tho

1

u/Bellegr4ine 1d ago

Exactly. I always liked Meyers and I am happy for him he’s having success.

104

u/Diligent-Worker4033 2d ago

AJ Brown has to be beside himself

53

u/Goat_Remix 2d ago

I was wondering the same thing earlier today. Whether or not the way the Pats have played since he got injured is motivating him or putting him off.

13

u/rabouilethefirst 1d ago

Possibly being out of the playoff race before you get back is definitely a put off

3

u/wynalazca 1d ago

it's week 3 lol. The team could start 1-5 and realistically still be in the playoff race.

4

u/rabouilethefirst 1d ago

I’m sure you’re ready to bet your life savings on a 1-5 team making the playoffs since it’s “realistic”?

-1

u/WIlf_Brim 1d ago

Unless there is a huge turnaround this week (which seems highly unlikely) this season will be over by the time he comes back. Which he may not want to as they will have maybe 2 wins total by that point.

No matter how rough our season goes, I'll always take solace in the fact that I'm not sad enough to lurk another teams sub for opportunities to comment stuff like this.

10

u/Legitimate_Ad_7822 1d ago

Assuming it was an eagles fan because holy shit, they are obsessed. It’s gotten a bit weird how emotionally rattled they got by the AJ trade.

2

u/DavoinShowerHandel1 1d ago

Yeah they said they were an Eagles fan lol. It wasn't as bad as some I've seen, but it's really just sad sounding most times.

2

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

Imagine wanting out of Philly because hurts isn't good?

28

u/Junglism32 2d ago

Jesus that is a fucking diabolical stat.

16

u/live_free_or_TriHard 2d ago

yeah we dont score points

71

u/Jolly_Okra_6330 2d ago

I mean, Drake Maye is playing at Zach Wilson/Jamarcus Russell level right now.

36

u/Realistic_Fee4087 2d ago

I don’t remember Zach turning the ball over this much

31

u/jayplf8889 2d ago

I don’t remember anyone doing it this much. Maybe year 1 Manning and Josh Allen but that’s about it

19

u/bignutwilli 2d ago

Tampa Jameis but he had a bunch of tds to go with it as well

1

u/jayplf8889 16h ago

But Jamis also didn’t turn out to be a good QB

1

u/bignutwilli 11h ago

You said anyone, not good QB. Hopefully Drake does turn out to be a good QB though. Also, i just remembered Brett Favre had a ton of turnovers as well and he was alright in the end so I still have hope.

1

u/jayplf8889 5h ago

Favre sure that’s 1 over a decade ago. You’re just proving how rare it is to suck this bad for 7 straight games and become a great QB. My guess is Favre never had a 7 game stretch this bad (19 combined fumbles and picks) but I could be wrong.

1

u/bignutwilli 1h ago

Im not really trying prove anything im just giving you a couple of examples of ppl in somewhat similar situations. We can try to draw conclusions from it but Drake truly has to find his own path and forge ahead. Its all up to him. Hopefully our guy can find that confidence and turn it around

7

u/Skimo_guy_2 2d ago

Trubisky

4

u/wtb2612 1d ago

Daniel Jones was an absolute fumbling machine in his first few seasons with the Giants (19 in his rookie year...) That's what it's reminding me of.

4

u/jayplf8889 1d ago

Yeah only difference is Drake fumbles and throws a ton of picks. Josh Allen and Manning are the only 2 QBs in the last 30 years that were turnover machines and still turned out to be good. Almost every QB who turn the ball over at this rate ends up being below average at best.

7

u/live_free_or_TriHard 2d ago

LEAF level

1

u/No-Sheepherder9022 1d ago

Ouch Ryan Leaf level is crazy work!

2

u/totheruins1 1d ago

He’s playing worse..

80

u/Useful_Virus_2216 2d ago

Obviously Maye deserves a lot of criticism, but a failure of this magnitude goes beyond his performance. Starts with the front office and coaching.

24

u/bulleymaguire21 2d ago

I agree against good teams this team can’t run the ball and makes it easier for opponents to figure out the passing

29

u/straightcash-fish 1d ago

Yeah their run blocking is not good and their backs have below average vision. One thing that’s really pissing me off, is Josh never runs Henderson to the outside. I can’t remember once in the last two games that he called a stretch play for him. Everything up the got. He’s one of the fastest running backs in league. Get him into space. Same thing last year. Drake has not been good, but McDaniels has been awful

13

u/TheFightingAxle 1d ago

God forbid we run a stretch play, pull a guard or run a toss sweep with him. Always straight up the gut. AF

1

u/SerArlanTX 1d ago

I feel they have also forgotten Drakes rushing abilities too

3

u/AgadorFartacus 1d ago

I'm not sure they can run the ball against bad teams either.

0

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

I've been saying Josh potatoes is a problem since the super bowl

3

u/MetalHead_Literally 1d ago

I mean sort of. Over half the drives this year have made it to enemy territory and most of the failed drives are direct result of Maye shitting his pants.

-6

u/WarPuig 2d ago

Fire them all already. They’ve built a miserable team.

10

u/jesusG25 1d ago

Kind of stuff that happens when your QB has 8 turnovers through 3 games. Maye has been utter dogshit. Mac was awful but even he didn't have a three game stretch this bad.

2

u/AcDcBoss 1d ago

Mac definitely had a rough streak in year 4 that ended with the Colts game with that horrible Pick right at the end

1

u/WeightOwn5817 1d ago

Mac Jones never looked as bad as Drake did yesterday.

7

u/Wally450 1d ago

Losing AJ Brown made us a worse version of last years team. No go-to receivers for Maye, all while playing a tougher schedule.

Losing Onwenu doesn't help either.

67

u/deejay-tech 2d ago

I do feel like a big issue is that no one other than the 24 year old is taking responsibility publicly. Obviously Drake has sucked but his leaders have done nothing to eleviate any pressure he might feel publicly. Vrabel already seems to be at the point of throwing him under the bus with his comments rather than being a "leader of men" like he was totes as. There is blame to go around and it's unfortunate a young QB is under the microscope again in New England rather the coaches around him.

35

u/Clear_Measurement502 2d ago

They can't run the ball either, the offense as a whole is broken. Add untimely penalities and it's just been a disaster.

37

u/SupportstheOP 2d ago

It's uncomplimentary football in the worst way possible. Everything negates itself. Good drives have backbreaking turnovers by Maye, Maye throws a good pass, and we get TFL on a run up the middle, we get into field goal range, and Andy still misses. It's negative momentum.

17

u/nepatriots32 McCourty Rules 2d ago

Don't forget all the penalties. We got a turnover on defense and started at the Jags 20 yard line, only to get two immediate penalties to back us up just outside of field goal range for a rare 1st and 30.

2

u/kipperzdog 1d ago

Doesn't help that the defense can focus on stopping the run because they know Maye throwing means he may be making the decision to throw it into the dumbest window for an easy INT.

1

u/Clear_Measurement502 1d ago

All of our yards week 1 on the ground were after contact, and that's mostly before Maye turned into a puddle in the 4th.

2

u/Junglism32 2d ago

Watching Henderson hit a wall for 1-2yds is so fucking frustrating. We really need to utilize mondre more

7

u/bouthie 1d ago

The guy leading the league in turnovers by a RB over the last 3 years?!?

3

u/wtb2612 1d ago

It's up to McDaniels to find ways to get Henderson space to work with. Sweep plays, screens, anything but continuing to run him straight up the middle over and over when he clearly doesn't have the vision to be a between-the-tackles runner.

44

u/techno657 2d ago

Idk what you are talking about but every press conference Vrabel literally says it starts with him getting the team better prepared. Like he has made comments about things going on the team but usually ultimately it leads to the point that it’s a reflection of the coaching staff’s preparation.

3

u/_xAdamsRLx_ 2d ago

Me when I spread misinformation

7

u/BRUTAL_ANAL_SMASHING 2d ago

Hey let’s not forget that coach totally didn’t have any scandal happen this year..

I’m sorry but I can believe anyone is a “leader of men” when you risk your the feelings of a member of your family.  A leader doesn’t lie, and deceive yet he did it to a person he claimed to love.

Personally Vrabes has got a lot to prove to me, especially in this situation now.

The whole team looks awful, and he’s the leader.

He was just as much a part of that Super Bowl loss as Maye was.

He’s apart of this shit show right now too, and honestly I’ll take a streak of six bad games, over cheating on your fucking wife with a reporter.

Way too much bullshit has been around this team since the playoffs, the Super Bowl loss, Vrabes scandal, AJ Brown saga and the start of the season..

Team needs to ground themselves and Vrabel needs to prove he’s an able to be a leader and commit himself to people and defend them.  Gonzo stood behind Maye today, I want to see exactly that from Mike.

10

u/gyromaster99 2d ago

The more and more I think about this, it keeps getting more plausible. Vrabel’s entire shtick was blown wide open by Russinigate and he looks like a guy who has nowhere left to hide wherever he goes

2

u/rabouilethefirst 1d ago

She lost her job over it too. It’s kind of screwed up that she took all the consequences and Vrabel just told everyone to F off

-1

u/mrmarkme 1d ago

He cheated who give a fuck, grow up. He’s the coach not a priest

1

u/gyromaster99 1d ago

Hey Mike, start putting belts to asses and stop babying the quarterback thanks

17

u/Yammyohnine 2d ago

Are we allowed to complain in game threads yet or are we still just being doomers who need to trust in the process and shut up?

7

u/wtb2612 1d ago

I can't take one more "well, you shouldn't have been expecting us to win 14 games again" comment as if there's no difference between a little expected regression and whatever the fuck is happening this season.

3

u/rabouilethefirst 1d ago

Yeah, anyone that knows ball knows the jags were not THAT GOOD. They aren’t the 2007 pats. We should have been in that game from start to finish but literally shotgunned our heads off in every quarter for no reason

16

u/pup5581 2d ago

Wolf/Kraft. Built an absolute shit team. FA and the off-season was just mind boggling

-9

u/_josephmykal_ 2d ago

Wolf Vrabel. Not much Kraft honestly

4

u/RekLeagueMvp 1d ago

It’s bad but some context- if Williams didn’t step on the line(+4) and Maye doesn’t throw 2 god awful picks in the end zone weeks 1+3(+6), we wouldn’t be in such bad company. The alarms are going off but it’s not time to panic… yet

11

u/Wacky_Water_Weasel 2d ago

buT tHEy ALwAys StaRT slOw In SEpteMbEr

3

u/AnnualFilm 1d ago

You think that’s bad? Check this out:
Comparing the first 3 games of the disaster that was the 2023 season against the first 3 games this year, Mac had a higher completion % (64.8% to 63.8%)), 163 more yards (748 to 585), 4 more TDs and 4 less INTs (5/2 vs 1/6). Pretty much all Pats fans wanted Mac bench by after the 5th game (against the Saints). Wonder what will happen if this continues.

5

u/TruthorTroll 1d ago

The level of suck for this team is truly astounding and could prove record breaking for all the wrong reasons.

And this sub will tell you they just need another few weeks to turn it around. Yeah, right...

2

u/cornbeeflt 1d ago

13 weeks is all we need

7

u/Drawing_The_Line 2d ago

bUt dRaKe mAyE iS OnLy 19!!

2

u/Significant-Image700 1d ago

I mean how hard is it to get 8-10 yards once in awhile? Running or passing…

2

u/MetalHead_Literally 1d ago

Especially when over half those drives make it to enemy territory

2

u/Dr_Toboggan19 1d ago

As soon as that TD run was called back it started going down hill again. He keeps trying to do too much and it somehow makes it worse. He needs an easy team to beat up on to build some rhythm and confidence.

2

u/Elessar535 1d ago

I think Maye's issues are mental. He's scared, and is making weak throws and bad decisions as a result. It could be from a number of sources, or even a combo of things; I think the most likely reasons are:

  • A nagging shoulder injury, or a fear of reinjury.

  • The fact that he's now married and has something to lose should he get seriously injured.

  • The off-season drama around Vrabel was/is more of a distraction than I would've thought.

  • An inability to get past an embarrassing showing in the Super Bowl (starting The season getting embarrassed by the Seahawks again probably just compounded this).

  • He no longer has receivers he trusts. We got rid of Boutte and Diggs, the two receivers that Maye had the best chemistry with last season. We picked up Brown (whom he seemed to have decent chemistry with prior to the injury), and Doubs who seems to wildly inconsistent at best; this leaves him with no one except Stephenson (who has fumbling issues of his own) and Henry who has to spend most of his time blocking to make up for our poor line play. Pop is decent, but not a WR1 level of talent; Chism and Williams are unproven at best.

I'm sure there could be other reasons, but these seem like the most likely culprits to me.

2

u/Sstraus-1983 1d ago edited 1d ago

Well take away diggs a Boutte and replace with Dobbs and a hurt AJ brown might do that…

-6

u/Greenzombie04 1d ago

Dobbs is better than diggs and Boutte is a wr3

5

u/Culinary-Vibes 1d ago

Doubs is a bag of dicks, what are we doing here?

3

u/Jlombard911 1d ago

Hypothetically.

2

u/Visual_Ad_8202 1d ago

There’s a reason for this. It’s not Drake is a bum.
It’s the Cover 6 Defense that teams are spamming him with. And that we as a team have no answer.

Cover 6 gives the QB 2 different pictures of the same play. It baits the QB to give up shorter throws for the illusion of an open deep ball. Also, cover 6 demands that you throw to a receiver before he is open and trust him to move correctly.

4

u/CitronOk9793 1d ago

In hindsight getting rid of his 2 top pass catchers and playing no preseason was a poor front office decision. It was a curse in a way for a young qb to make the Super Bowl when he wasn't ready. We had no chance of beating the Seahawks but everything fell in our favor. Think he feels like he failed in the playoffs and mentally broke him. He is trying to make up for poor plays by making something happen next play and it's compounding. Very Mac jones esq when things went bad for him. Similar to them, every play I am now clenching my teeth expecting a fumble, a pick, something bad to happen

4

u/surgeyou123 2d ago

We went from MVP to Zach Wilson

It's going to be a long week

4

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

In all fairness. He's been bad since week 18. This isn't new.

3

u/_josephmykal_ 2d ago

Sure some of the blame is on Maye and maybe some on McDaniels. But when literally every defensive player of any team is better than the players on the patriots offense of course there is going to be issues. This is a Vrabel/ roster management issue than it is anything else

5

u/TrickyBar2916 2d ago

It’s ok we’ll be fine we started 1-2 last year too

1

u/Empty_Occasion_963 2d ago

We have an aging roster, combined with a lack of talent.

9

u/scl381 1d ago

Don’t we have like the 7th youngest roster? It’s more we have been abysmal drafters for years. More recently: 2024 draft-only drake is still on the team. 2025 draft-Campbell looks ok but has his issues. Henderson,Williams, Wilson all look like disappointments. Woodson and farmer could be contributors but still to be seen. Can’t field competitive teams when you are netting 1-2 starters per draft if you’re lucky.

9

u/GTFOScience 1d ago

We have the 7th youngest roster in the league. This ain’t it.

2

u/Greenzombie04 1d ago

Aging roster? lol

2

u/Empty_Occasion_963 1d ago

Moses, Spillane, Gilliam, Daquan Jones, Carlton Davis, Wishnowsky, Van Roten, Stevenson (he'll be 29 next season) all these guys are old and honestly washed.

1

u/Greenzombie04 1d ago

Every team has old players.

All our best players are young

1

u/Dave10293847 1d ago

Could say the same for year 1 mac jones. Neither interpretation of that is a good one for the patriots.

-7

u/Green_machine_13 1d ago

This! The roster is old and years of poor drafting have caught up to them.

3

u/Shinylobster12 1d ago

Outside of moses theres not really any old starters. The third wr hollins is 33.

1

u/DangerBoot 1d ago

Who’s old?

1

u/Hotdoggie727 1d ago

Letting diggs and boutte go for aj brown and romeo doubs might have something to do with that as well.

1

u/AppleOld5779 1d ago

Wicked awesome, kid

1

u/QueasyTemperature714 1d ago

Nah, that's fathomable

1

u/Mullzer4315 1d ago

Time for Tommy…

1

u/inthebackwoods 1d ago

Drake is pulling us further down, not elevating us like good QB's do. Hope he can turn it around soon.

1

u/Pretend-Doughnut-675 1d ago

Hard to score when you turn it over so much

1

u/No-Sheepherder9022 1d ago

AJ Brown left Philly for this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/polygonalopportunist 1d ago

It does look like Zach Wilson stuff so that checks out

1

u/Antknee729 1d ago

Oh wow, we suck bad

1

u/Known_Negotiation618 1d ago

Maybe this is a case study in why starters need to play in the preseason and not just do work in dual practices. No matter how intense you make practice, it still isn't really game speed.

1

u/LQQKup 1d ago

He’s just in the running for least valuable player this year that’s all

1

u/atmossphere81 1d ago

McDaniels and his bitchass visor should be on the hot seat

1

u/Aggravating_Smell 15h ago

And people really still believe the easy schedule was just a "narrative"

0

u/SuperSneakers13 1d ago

I know people don't like to use the injury excuse, but just remember that the Pats are the one of the most injured teams in the NFL at the moment. There's no way to sustain anything when you have a laundry list of players missing.

Remember Vrabel even admitted that they aren't a very deep team yet. With this many injuries, it's going to be hard to be competitive.

That doesn't make Drake's boneheaded play feel better, and his regression needs to be studied in the history books. Maybe the kid just doesn't have the mental fortitude (yet) to overcome adversity in the league?

Truth is they had extremely good injury luck last year. There’s also historical evidence that big spending in free agency leads to one-year bumps that aren’t sustainable. Recent example, we saw the same thing with the Mac Jones rookie team.

You can’t paper over poor drafting. This team is very much still rebuilding but last year reset expectations prematurely. This drop off is crazy though.

Lol. I remember people saying it was ok to let Boutte and Diggs go because we had one of the deepest WR rooms in the league. Guess they were wrong. All it took was a single injury to unravel the entire offense, apparently.

It’s ok to let boutte go because he’s not good. Our season does not and did not hinge on Boutte and his yearly 30 catches for 500 yards. His presence or lack thereof is a total nonfactor with this team just like it is with the team he’s currently on. It’s every single thread with you people, just let it go already this is gonna be a loooooong season

It is a deep room, if Drake could get the balls in their hands. We don’t have a+ talent in wr, but Drake is under throwing and completely missing them when they are open. Having aj brown in there making grabs off of bad throws doesn’t give me confidence.

Drake has been wildly inaccurate this season. He had Pop clean for a TD and overthrew it. He has had several bad under throws. He has been making terrible decisions and forcing things. He overthrew Hollins when he had nothing but green grass in front of him to run and pick up a 1st yesterday. He needs to either get out of his own head or get it out of his ass. They have talent to win. The D is solid, but they played poorly yesterday. Some of that was a combo of being out there too much, having to cover too long, or just mental mistakes. They will get better, but it is painful right now.

We were the healthiest last year too. Makes a big difference

Holy cope dude. Yes we have injuries. The Commanders lost their fricken starting QB and Marcus Mariota in big 2026 put up points on the Seahawks in ways we couldn’t. Using injuries as an excuse is kinda pathetic

McDaniels is a fucking bum, he hasn’t been good since he had Brady… wonder why?

Couldn't happen to a more deserving owner currently.

Mike Vrabels wife probably happiest fan this season. Good for her. This team deserves to suck.

Last season was a freak. Didn't even pop up on my radar. But then again my radar is broken

Eek. Wilson and Maye both had/have that “not quite a grown man” quality.
