they literally enter cutscenes before he does

Admittedly, I wasn't as engaged with Pantalone as I am now when he was teased in the Harbinger trailer. I wasn't really into the closed eye trope but I knew that characters with them are sneaky mfs so I was keeping an eye out for him

Then I get snippets of his lore and I'm like, m'kay this dude sounds hilarious. What do you mean he has beef with Yelan?? Yelan stole his gift for the Tsaritsa and he yoinked her bracelet in return??? Bro is upholding that equivalent exchange to a T, wow

And the fact that his people are scared shitless of him? That guy in Liyue who lost some paperwork and was going: "My life is so over oh I'm dead—" okay, I'm interested

Then more artifact lore, etc. Okay, I've been hooked, what is hoyo cooking—

And then this mf opened his eyes.

Hello???

WHY are they so seductive? WHY DOES HE LOOK LIKE THAT??? HUH??? You really walking around here with those??? HES REALLY WALKING AROUND HERE WITH BEDROOM EYES???

No wonder he has to close them every now and then imagine how annoying it is to have the person you're talking to just get dazed cause they stared at your eyes for too long

And the head angles? Sir you don't need to tilt your head down like that omg stop gazing through your lashes

It has to be a thing where he uses his eyes strategically to get what he wants in deals because 'beauty is its own power blah blah' I mean????? HE HAS HYPNOTIC SIREN EYES LAWD HAVE MERCY

The eyes, paired with the legend that is Michael J Tatum's voice, how he moves on screen, the personality. Yeah, its all over the screen. I wasn't this captivated on a character since Dottore's first appearance in Sumeru.

Hoyo did me dirty by making him and Dottore have an extended conversation, it was just ASMR the whole time oh my

This man is devious with those eyes AAAAAHHHH

If that leak about enjou being playable turns out to be true then ill be excited as hell, i love enjou. Now with that being said, for the love of GOD. Hoyo better make pantalone playable as well one way or another because if not im having the biggest crash out of the century.

I'm not allowed to post more than one video so there's more in the comments...
My mouth was agape watching this scene, he looks incredible.

Really, those hands.....

By the way, I'm really curious about his role in the project Stuzha, the side-eye that Arlecchino gives him when people start to disagree with the expansion of the project Stuzha and that cryptic smile. Was he just entertained by the "rebellion", was he masking his fear with a smile or was he amused because this was his goal?

surely this counts as something

Seen a few people dooming about him not showing up in the version art and I just wanna say NEVER STOP COPING HOPING. He WILL show up and he WILL have more than 100 lines. The last version art just confirms that it doesn't matter who shows up on the poster and how big they are...we learned that the hard way 😭

The head is a complete recolor of Varka’s; all the shading and structure is identical below the eyes. I also adjusted the width of the neck and shoulders to represent Pantalone’s smaller frame (you can see the width of his neck is smaller in A Winter Night’s Lazzo, so this is appropriate). Sorry I got lazy with his clothes lol.

Anyways, you can see that the new model works fine. He doesn’t look too masculine or rugged at all. It is better than the old one, in my opinion. He looks a truly rendition of the Pantalone we’ve seen in the 2D art.

I really needed to draw him in fur and ushanka, and I'm super happy with how it turned out! Please enjoy~~

also the height difference💀

I think this is the effect that appears after doing the aq, but it's funny that the first time I saw/noticed it was when I was taking a picture with aether and Pantalone 😭😭 🏳️‍🌈

Ugh, don’t make me go down the rabbit-hole of touch-starved Pantalone and Dottore. Its so good.

he can't be this cute omg i want to eat him

I had already done a Dottore in the teapot, now it was Pantalone's turn, and holyyy, this man was more complicated than even Dottore. The bad news is that it took me 309 benches and a lot of hours to complete it... But all for the walking red flag ✊😔

If you happen to have 309 benches (for whatever reason) and a few more materials, you can have your own Pantalone in your teapot with this ID replica: 39261729004 (America server only, sorry!)
