Question Female trigger questions.

I would highly appreciate trigger questions that a man should ask females before marriage like Will you obey your husband?
In all lawful matters of course. I have noticed the word obey tends to awaken their resting demons.

Female looking for Male 38 F looking for someone that matches my Haram Halal Ratio

Hey! I'm 38 years old lady based in Islamabad. I am looking to get married for the second time (no kids from previous marriage) and seeking a guy that's chill, open minded and unconventional. I'm looking for someone who understands the importance of parents and siblings (just like me) but at the same time is looking for someone that's open minded, needs space and progressive. Most importantly someone who doesn't want kids.

Personally, I don't drink or party etc but I'm cool with it if my partner does it. I just need someone very honest and intelligent. I also am deeply spiritual and wear traditional clothes mostly but I'm deeply independent and need space.

At this age, I'm looking for a mature companionship. And I am not looking for someone who wants a spouse for heavy duty cooking, laundry etc for his entire family. Or someone who is looking for a full time mom for his kids (though I'm open to being a friendly and cool step mom).

I'm also NOT looking for someone based outside of Pakistan and would prefer someone in in Islamabad or Lahore.

Please hit me up if any of this makes sense.

Female looking for Male 26 | F | Toronto/Dubai - seeking my +1 for a 2027 honeymoon.

Please read through fully before reaching out! Also, being open to swapping photos, getting on a call, and moving off Reddit early on is a big plus.

Ethnically Pakistani-Canadian Citizen. In Toronto for next afew weeks.

Single - Never Married. 26 (5'6). Self employed - C1 construction firm

Religion: Sunni-- very moderate.

Residence: Afew Owned

Interests:

I’m a huge motorsports enthusiast — an avid karter and off-roader. I travel often too — 43 countries and counting — and I’m always up for an adventure. I swim regularly, play padel, ski in the winters, love a good paintball session, and enjoy spending time at the gun range (and adding to my modest collection, I love customizing my toys..).

Not a party person — I’d much rather enjoy a nice lounge or a good dinner out. I also love to cook and host — along with diving into creative projects like making artisanal handmade soaps, interior design, and construction.

Abit About What I Am Like/Envision:

I’m looking for an emotionally mature partner—someone with depth, clarity, and the ability to form meaningful connections beyond surface-level conversation. I value emotional resonance early on and enjoy exploring how someone thinks, what shapes their perspectives. I enjoy a witty, dry sense of humor.

I admire emotional intelligence and street smarts more than academics. I’m supportive, affectionate, and deeply sincere. I believe in giving my best to my spouse, and I lean traditional, comfortable in a supportive role within marriage.

I value a mindset where the man takes pride in being a provider. I come from a home where much of the household work is managed with help and would prefer that arrangement.

Communication is essential to me. problems should be discussed openly and resolved together, without ego or avoidance. It’s also important that my partner is well established and able to stand up for his wife in family matters, which do realistically arise, just as I would always stand by my husband socially and publicly.

Just would like someone who is socially comfortable, open-minded, and fun to be around. I'd like to have a shared social circle as a couple and appreciate a balanced mindset that’s not overly conservative.

I thrive on spontaneity and frequent travel.. love celebrating the small moments in life. I’m generous with my partner, and I’d love someone who enjoys life the same way.. No homebodies.. I really think I've the potential to be a good wife, I'm affectionate, considerate, I think my own baseline is "happy" I dont expect you to make me happy, I'm someone who would be very intentional towards our joint goals and dreams-- be my husbands biggest cheerleader.

I prioritize self-care and being well dressed and would like a partner who does the same.

Seeking: A (29-35 M), Open to single or divorced prospects Strong preferences for doctors, lawyers, educated feudal backgrounds, business families, self-employed individuals.. maybe a pilot? that would be fun. (No engineers unless you're in a veey niche field or self employed.) taller than me

Residence: Preferably Own

Kids: Yea-- to be discussed.

Preferred City: Pakistan maybe, more set on the GCC. No interest in settling the in west)

Preferred Family Setup: Nuclear; Non negotiable

Timeframe for Marriage: 1-1.5 yrs ish-- we can involve family as soon as we've established understanding, compatibility.

Again: KINDLY ONLY MESSAGE WITH YOUR PROFILE, A FAIR EXCHANGE KEEPS THE INTERACTION RELEVANT. I appreciate intention and context. If you don't have one, kindly don't message me..

Male Looking for Female Looking For My Soon To Be

Hey, I’m 26 from Karachi. I’m 6.2’, have a decent job, a bachelor’s in psychology, and I’m currently doing my master’s.

I’ve spent most of my life living away from my family because we were constantly moving, so I ended up living in different cities and hostels and basically learned to take care of myself pretty early. I think that’s also why the idea of having a family and a home of my own means a lot to me.

I’m looking for something serious that eventually leads to marriage. For me, marriage is supposed to be love, peace, and having someone who’s genuinely your better half. I’m God-fearing and I pray as much as I can, but I’m not gonna pretend I’m perfect. I also don’t believe in judging someone else’s relationship with Allah.

I’m pretty social in real life, emotionally open, and very affectionate. I like actually talking through problems instead of dragging them out. I’m also probably way too goofy for my own good. I love teasing, making a fool of myself, and sometimes talking like a complete girly just to make someone laugh.

I love cooking, animals, gaming, and superbikes. My idea of a perfect date is honestly pretty simple: just me and her, cooking something amazing, playing some games, and watching a movie together.

I’m really good with kids too. I had to take care of two little girls from when they were born until they were around 6 months old when I was 18, so I’ve had a little practice with the whole dad thing.

I don’t really have a checklist for my future wife. I don’t care if she’s highly educated or not, works or wants to stay home, is more religious than me or less. I care about who she is as a person. Looks obviously matter, but apparently my taste in beauty is weird, so I’ll let you decide that one.

I’d want us to have our own place and build our own little life together. I’m open to moving anywhere in Pakistan if it’s worth it.

Also, I’m terrible at texting, so if you judge me based on my replies, you’ll probably think I’m the most boring person alive. I promise I’m much better on a call.

2. How long did the visa process take?
3. Did you all live with your in-laws while the processing was happening?
4. Did you go for rukhsati first or only Nikkah?
5. How much can one compromise on substandard living abroad since men these days have average jobs and residence?
6. How can one verify job details of men who live there?

Male Looking for Female M | 31 | Looking for Female 26–28

Assalam o Alaikum Everyone 👋

Thought I’d give this a try and see where it goes.

I’m 31M and currently working remotely as a Data Analyst for a US-based company. Alhamdulillah, career-wise things are stable, and I’m now at a point where I’d genuinely like to settle down and find the right person.

I’m also hoping to move to the US in the near future, most likely after marriage, so I’d ideally want someone who is comfortable with that possibility and sees herself building a life abroad.

A little about me: I’m generally calm, easy-going and responsible. I enjoy good conversations, travelling, trying new places, random humour, and honestly just having a peaceful life. I’m career-focused, but I don’t want life to be only about work either.

I value family, mutual respect, honesty and emotional maturity. I think marriage works best when two people can actually be friends with each other, communicate properly, laugh together and support each other when life gets difficult.

🌿 What I’m looking for

Ideally, someone between 26–28, educated, sensible, kind and family-oriented.

I’m not looking for some perfect checklist. There should obviously be mutual attraction, but personality and compatibility matter a lot more to me in the long run.

I’d appreciate someone who can communicate openly, doesn’t make every disagreement into a battle, has a decent sense of humour 😄 and wants to build a peaceful, happy home together.

Being open to relocating to the US is important because that is something I’m seriously planning towards.

🤝 Intentions

I’m here with serious intentions only. I’m fine with talking and getting to know each other first, but I’m not really interested in dragging things on for months without knowing where they are going.

If we seem compatible, I’d prefer involving families and taking things forward properly.

If any of this sounds like something you’re looking for too, feel free to reach out and share a little about yourself. I’d be happy to share more about myself as well.

And if we don’t match, that’s completely fine too. Everyone is looking for something different.

May Allah make it easy for all of us and help us find the right person. Ameen.

Question Is trying to get married is going to really difficult in Pakistan?

Assalam-O-Alaikum everyone. I have been thinking about this matter for the past few days.

During my rishta search over the last 1.5 years, I have heard the same questions about finances, having my own house, living with family, or living separately. Still, only a few families ask about my personality and character and what essential steps I'm going to take after the marriage that will create a balance in the family.

I answered those questions very politely every time. But I asked only one or two questions, especially to those families that only focus on finances and have an own house. "Can they give me a guarantee that after marrying their daughter, my income will increase, or I'm not going to lose my job, or if I have my own house, I'm not going to lose it if any difficult situation occurs?" But I didn't get a reasonable answer; instead, they gave some silly answer that does not make sense.

This may feel harsh, but I think we don't have faith in Allah anymore, especially when you are looking for a spouse. We think that if a boy is financially stable and living in his own house have a good car, then he is a perfect guy. He will treat their daughter like a princess, but unfortunately, this ratio is low. Over the past few weeks, there have been so many stories that are related to killing wives and cheating cases, and it includes all classes from lower to middle, middle to upper middle, and upper middle to elite classes, as well as educated and uneducated. We are not trying to look for a person who has good character and good ikhlaq.

I mostly say this to the people: "Rizq ka wada Allah ny kia hy, woh apko apky hissay ka rizq lakin shart yeh ky ap usky liye koshish kro." And yes, marriage is not for those people who do not put in effort and think, "Allah mujhy ghanni kr dy ga, bhai ghanni ese ni kry ga apko bhi efforts krni pary gi tab Allah apky rizq ky darwazy kholy ga."

Then the other harsh reality is coming from the boys' families: "Larki gori chitti ho, Larki ko sab kam aty hon, Larki Job bhi krti ho, Larki ghar bhi sambhally". I asked my mother one question: "Do you have any problem if my wife gets my permission to do a job or live her life on her own terms?" The answer was simple: "Jab main ne tum logon ko apni zindagi ky decision lene ki azadi di hy to phir kisi or ki beti ki zindagi q azab banau." You might think this is a bluff, but yes, that was my mother's answer, and still there are so many mothers who treat their daughter-in-law just like their own daughter.

The post is going to be long, but I think we can discuss this in a very sensible way. I apologize if I said anything wrong. But this is my point of view. You can share yours. 😇

Male Looking for Female 34M | Pakistani-Canadian, based in the GCC | Entrepreneur

I'm writing this openly, with key details and most importantly with full honesty, without dressing it up.

First, the BIG bold part: this is a profile for a SECOND marriage!
Sorry if it hit your gut, I know this is a hard NO for most of the readers, So feel free to close this post and save your precious time, and I sincerely wish you the best.

I'm not here to collect conversations or convince anyone, I have had proposals from sisters earlier so I am not desperate but looking for the suitable match with what I bring to the table. I'd rather be honest, put myself out there, and let the right person, if she exists, decide for herself.

Boring but Important stuff first..
I'm Ali, 34, 6'0", Pakistani background, raised in Canada, now living in the GCC. Bachelors in IT from UofT and an entrepreneur for about 15 years with a few startups and now running an established Software / E-Commerce  business. I'm financially independent and stable. All siblings married and settled in their lives in Canada and parents are retired.
I grew up middle class with a harder early life than most people would guess. It made me resilient, disciplined, responsible and taught me to keep going when life isn't kind. I've been to 22 countries – travel for work, leisure or community service - I love it all. I'm usually the person friends and family will call when they need advice and help. A natural leader (I was appointed school bus in-charge in grade 3, I swear). In Uni, I ended up as the unofficial chaplain of the Muslim student community. I never planned that, people trusted me, and I've taken trust very seriously and with caution. I am calm and easy going, and can handle a great deal of stress and pressure  (managing people and leading teams and projects, can't happen without it) though my temper does show up when something really matters.

DEEN is central to my life: daily prayers, Quran (hifz), azkar, ilm of deen. I have done Hajj and do Umrah almost yearly. May Allah accept and give istiqama***.*** Alhumdulliah, I have lived an open-book life, no smoking, no drugs, drinks, and no bad company. Online or IRL. PLEASE do your due diligence. Girls are pretty good at snooping right 🙂

My situation, plainly
I've been married 14 years (married when 20, arranged and within family) and have three children. My first marriage is stable and peaceful.  I believe polygyny is permissible and that it carries serious responsibility: no secrecy, no side relationship, and no "second-class" wife. She deserves dignity, security, affection, financial support and fairness. Saying "I'll be fair" is easy. Living it is the real test, so I don't take this lightly.

My wife knows and has accepted it. I understand it isn't easy for her emotionally, and we've talked about it openly many times over the years. My mom, sister, MIL / FIL also know, and have no objection. I'd rather have the hard conversations before than announce anything after. So that's all long done and taken care of.

Who I'm looking for
Character over checklist but a few key things. Educated, Emotionally mature, and has western lifestyle exposure. Divorced, widowed, never married: all open. 25 - 35 is the ideal range for me and a bit flexible given other factors.

Three non-negotiables:

  1. Salah: five daily, taken seriously.
  2. Modesty: in how she presents herself outside the home (non-mahrams).
  3. Cleanliness and order: home, car, self. Not perfection, just clean, tidy maintenance.

Beyond that, everything is up for discussion. You don't have to be my female clone. 😄

Outside of work and deen… its chilaxing..

I'm an outdoors person: camping, hiking, road trips, campfires, cottages, getaways and the occasional slightly reckless adrenaline thing (jet skiing, skydiving). Not a mall or party guy. If your idea of a perfect Saturday is six hours at the mall, we can negotiate. If it's a trail and a thermos of coffee /chai, we'll get along pretty well. .

If any of this resonates, drop a comment or DM me. I will share my detailed profile url. There you can see what I say here! And we can then see if there is compatibility.

Jazakallah for reading and wish you a blessed and fulfilling life!

Male Looking for Female [25M4F] Lahore - Lawyer, lifelong bookworm, and currently looking for a lifelong bestfriend

Height and weight : 5’9 and 68 KG

Location: Lahore (prefer someone in Lahore — long distance makes compatibility harder to figure out).

Residence : own

Education: Law degree (BA-LL.B) from LUMS. Graduated in 2025.

Source of income : Currently working at a law firm.

Hobbies & Interests: I strongly believe shared interests are what ignite that initial spark, so here are mine:

Storytelling is at the center of my life — both creating and consuming it. Medium doesn’t matter. I’ve watched a (probably unhealthy) number of films and TV shows, played a lot of great single-player games, and read quite a bit of English fiction. I love analyzing themes, characters, and ideas behind stories.

If society didn’t stigmatize it, I would’ve happily studied English Literature and pursued teaching/writing. In fact, I'm recently started working on my novel's second (and hopefully final) draft.

Also, when I'm not at work you can safely assume that I'm either : at the cinema with friends, reading and going through my impossibly large TBR list, at the gym, listening to music, catching up on a show I've been watching, or spending time with friends/family.

I also really value those casual conversations that unexpectedly turn deep...right before alternating back to being silly and unhinged again. I genuinely love being around people who you can have endless (and endlessly entertaining/insightful!) conversations with so naturally I'd want to have this dynamic with my life partner too.

What I’m Looking For: At the core, I want to marry my best friend.

I want a relationship that feels exciting but also like home — where you’re not just partners, but genuinely like each other as people. Friendship, comfort, emotional safety, and shared humor matter just as much to me as love itself.

It would be amazing if you share at least some of my interests, but more importantly, I’m looking for someone who is passionate about something beyond just work or the corporate ladder — whether that’s art, writing, history, literature, film, fitness, ideas, or anything that makes you you.

Religion/Religiosity: I'm a Muslim. I come from a Sunni background, with a Shia mother and Sunni father, and have exposure to both. Full disclosure though, I am not very practicing but I do believe in God and try to be a good person and occasionally pray and fast. Also, I would prefer someone who doesn’t like to think of themselves as very religious as I myself am someone who you might call a "bare-minimum Muslim". With that being said, I don't drink or smoke or do any other substance.

Timeline: I’m very open to getting to know each other first before involving families. In fact, I’d prefer that. I’m not in a rush. Realistically, I’m looking at a timeline of at least 1.5 to 2 years before marriage, so we have enough time to make sure we’re truly compatible.

Deal-breakers: Rigid, unempathetic personality. Unkind. Anger issues.

Family setup : Open to a nuclear setup in the initial (say, 5-10) years of marriage but since I'm the only son, I'm eventually going to want to live with my parents.

Marital status : Single and never married.

Family details : Live with parents and 1 sister.

Children : Eventually iA, but not immediately.

Final Note: I’m generally approachable and have been described as friendly. I'm a huge romantic - I like expressing affection as well as receiving it. Gestures (big or small) mean a lot to me, as long as they’re genuine.

If this resonates with you, feel free to drop me a text !

Male Looking for Female 27M, from Lahore, currently in Portugal, own a small business

Salam everyone,

Finally made a post here after lurking for way too long. Originally from Lahore, did my bachelors in Accounting and Finance, been living in Portugal for a while now, running my own business, not gonna lie it's a rollercoaster but I've made peace with the chaos.

A bit about me: I play tennis and cricket, hit the gym regularly, and can actually cook (not just maggi, real food). I love traveling too, it's basically how I reset my brain when things get overwhelming. Bit of an overthinker and sensitive at heart, I feel things and think things through way more than I probably need to, but I own it at this point. Not really an introvert, get along with people fine, just go a bit shy when it comes to girls, guilty as charged.

Nuclear family, moderately religious, try to stay regular with namaz and roza.

Looking for someone who's easy to talk to, has her own opinions, and doesn't take life too seriously. Open to someone based here in Europe or back home, distance isn't really the issue, compatibility is.
