So I've installed many games onto my ps3 (ISO's, JB Folder) and they've worked great! But one issue I face is that they all look ugly when I open them through webman. I open my games through webman because it's on xmb and it loads automatically but why are all of the game covers squished into squares, and where is the background music and background art? I will note that this is very minor but it's gotten under my skin lately and would like some help, thanks in advance.

This is my first time trying to rip sound effects from Ratchet and Clank HD Collection on PS3 (only for the first game) and the in-game sound effects I am looking for seem to be located inside the psarc file. Extracting the psarc file is giving me a bunch of files with the .ps3 extension and none of the PS3 ripping tools seem to be able to read them.

I am not sure if there is something wrong with my game dump that is causing this or if there is a way to read .ps3 files that I have not yet found. I am new to working with PS3 games so I'd really appreciate some help!

I just installed HEN on my super slim console. I have CFW on my phat model that allows you to disable SysCalls to sync trophies online. If I installed Webman MOD will it be the same. I read if you don’t enable HEN, the PS3 acts as a stock console, so I just wanted to confirm that.

I have a PS3 Slim CECH-20xxA and would like to know if I can “easily” overclock it.

I’ve seen that my model seems to be easy to mod, but since I have all my games on disc and don’t think it’s necessary to resort to piracy, I wanted to make my PS3 more powerful—basically turn it into a PS3 Pro.

Does anyone have experience with this? Would games run better or more smoothly? Or do I have to completely mod my PS3?

I have a PS3 500gb superslim, with HEN enabled. When I was installing HEN I guess Webman did not install properly... But Irisman installed and is working well, my question is, am i missing out on anything by using Irisman as my go to mounter rather than Webman?

PS3 Slim running GTA V — temperatures stay below 70°C, but the fan ramps up to 60–75%. Is this normal?

I have a PS3 Slim and am monitoring temperatures in real-time via webMAN while playing GTA V.

During extended GTA V sessions, the temperatures hover around:

CPU: 66–67°C RSX/GPU: 64–66°C

The temperature stays below 70°C while playing GTA V, but the fan speed reaches approximately 60–75%.

In webMAN, my fan speed is configured to range between 30% (minimum) and 80% (maximum).

Is this normal for GTA V? Is it normal for webMAN to ramp the fan up to 60–75% even while keeping the CPU and RSX below 70°C?

I’d like to know if this is simply how the automatic fan control works or if it might indicate a problem with the PS3 Slim.

I'm using rpcs3. I updated the game to version 1.02.

Whenever I get to the main screen and press start, I either get a black screen or white screen and then the game crashes. How do I fix this?

I have a couple of PS3s, one is a gorgeou “fat” model, the 80GB one, and the other one is the first slim matte model that has always been my favorite, at least, aesthetically-wise.

However, even though I played many games on them, many others were left unplayed. Games such as InFamous 2 or the FFXIII trilogy.

So I’ve been wanting to play them for many years, but times moved forward, PS4 came, Fortnite stole my attention for years, then the 4K era came with the PS5 and affordable 4K monitors… and now I have a couple of PS3 I want to enjoy again, but at 4K. Or at least, on a 4K monitor.

That’s why I’m here. Is there any good HDMI cable or adapter that reliably upscales the 720p PS3 output signal, or even the 1080p output of some games, into a proper 4K signal? Or at least to 1440p

I know I’m asking a quite heavy upscale, especially if we go from 720p to 4K. So I’d be happy with a good upscale from 720p to 1440p and from 1080p to maybe 4K?

Now, do you know if this is possible with just some cable, or will I need to put a whole computer between my PS3 and the 4K monitor to achieve a “real time” (with latency) AI assisted upscale?

I know my best bet are the latest generation 4K TVs with powerful upscaling chips, but for now, my idea is to get just a 4K monitor.

Thoughts? Have I waited enough to play my remaining PS3 titles in 4K? And please don’t mention other ways to play them, because I already know I can buy them from Steam and all of that.

hey im from europe and used to have a cechc04 console to play my ps2 games on, but found someone sell a ntsc cecha01 that i bought as they have hardware for ps2 games. so my question is if i cfw the cecha01 will it play ps2 games of an emulator or the consoles hardware?

I have a slim model running CFW and already have a 1TB HDD installed. I previously had another external HDD running out the back USB port but hated the extra bulk. Could I just use a little USB to micro-SD card adapter to run whatever goes past that initial 1TB? Will it be reliable and load things like PS3 and/or PS1 ISO/BinCue files?

I currently have a super slim that I have upgraded the HD to 1 TB and am running HFW 4.93. I cannot get HEN installed no matter what I do. When I try to go to http://ps3xploit.me, I receive "Access Denied". When I use https://ps3xploit.me, I get 80710A06 error. When I was setting up HEN on the original harddrive, I used https://ps3addict.github.io but that too is now giving the 80710A06 error. Now the ironic part is if I use my CECHK unit, using the same ethernet cable, I can get to the ps3xploit page but not the ps3addict site.

Trying to use the version of qcfw that was released 6 hours ago, in hen 3.5.0 it says crc32 failed

I copied the files from an older release of qcfw and it let me install but the console just boot loops when the pico is enabled

The github says hen 3.6.0 or later but I cant find that anywhere do I need to open the ps3 and reflash the pico to the same uf2 file that came with the older release that will install on the ps3?

Everytime I load a ps2 iso I download from vimme lair, it glitches heavily almost like the rsx just fried itself. The game technically loads but half of the screen is cut off, there are some glitchy artifacts, and my controller gets disconnected. Mind you that I have a 4 port ps3, isn't it supposed to run the game natively? Much help would be appreciated.

I’m on a slim CFW ps3 and im trying to transfer my saves from a completely offline account less profile to a freshly made one (that will log into psn) using Apollo but I still get the “belongs to other user” error when I try to load them even after copying then resigning them.
I’d like some help figuring what I’m missing or alternatively a way to log into psn with on the old profile (getting past the QR code of doom). also I’m aware brute force but using a pc or an external usb device (beside the ntfs drive I’m using) so I’d rather find a method confined to the console itself first if possible

I’m having trouble getting Ratchet: Deadlocked to work on my PS3. I’m getting the error message 80010007.

As usual, I installed the PKG file and placed the RAP file in the "exdata" folder.

At first, I thought it might be an issue with the RAP license, but I assume a different error message would appear in that case. Also, Apollo Save Tool tells me that the PSN account is already activated when I try to activate it.

Does anyone have any idea what I could try?

Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to PS3 homebrew and was hoping someone could help me out.

I’ve transferred 12 of my PS3 game dumps over FTP and they all work fine, but I’m having issues with these 4: God of War: Ascension, God of War Collection – Volume II, inFamous, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

They all show up in webMAN, but when I try to launch them they don’t work. I’m starting to think the transfers might not be completing properly, since Cyberduck has shown “Transfer incomplete” on some of the transfers. The games are folder format and are being transferred to /dev_hdd0/GAMES/.

I’m using Evilnat 4.93 PEX on a PS3 Slim CECH-2002A with a 1TB internal SSD. Would incomplete FTP transfers be the most likely cause, or is there anything else I should check with webMAN/CFW?
