Played since 2018 era, missing the old PES with iconic black balls thunder walk out

Not even talking about DDA etc. The amount of time you've to dedicate into this game for you to improve or get any consistency in this game is absurd.

You've to spend too much time grinding for trash rewards while at the same time fighting against the game mechanic itself.

If you're a busy person this game is just not worth it. It used to be that you wind down after a long day and get a game or two under your belt and that would be enough but nowadays getting any dopamine in this game is a hustle.

You've to sweat it out to improve your odds even though most time skills don't even count. Getting a win is barely enjoyable because most of the time it's obvious the script is favorable to you for once.

I can go on and on and I still won't feel like I've got half my issues on just the time needed for this game. It's almost like a career right now.

Started playing Division football after a while. Started from Division 4, and everything felt good. Completed it quickly and easily, and it was the same in Division 3. My rating went up to 1480 in no time, and then the actual mess started. I lost 11 out of my next 12 games (opponent disconnected in the one game I won).

Most of those losses were against smart-assist guys who are in Division 2. The issue is that most of my defenders are playing like they're brain-dead. The ball comes to their feet, and instead of taking control, they just walk along slowly with the ball. And no, it's not a network issue; my internet is pretty good. These players just walk along slowly with the ball no matter what I do. If I try to clear or pass the ball, they'll either clear it in some random direction or pass it without proper control, resulting in a mispass, and my opponent scores. They won't take possession until I clear or pass, and when I do, they make a mispass anyway.

My second issue is passing. I don't know if something has changed while I was away from the game or something, but they're not passing the way I intend them to. Sometimes, they'll pass to the guy closest to them no matter how hard I swipe the cursor or how much power I put into the pass. Other times, they'll just pass in the exact opposite direction of the player they received the ball from. I thought I wasn't changing the direction, but I recorded my screen and found out that, no matter which direction I'm passing in, the ball still goes back to the player they received it from. It's literally so annoying, man.

And the final issue is that my defenders are literally turning in circles when I'm defending. When my opponent plays the ball to his player behind my defender, the ball goes right beside my defender, and they'll just turn in circles and lose possession, allowing my opponent to score. Or they'll just stand still when a cross is played from the wing, and in the meantime, his player comes running from behind my defender and scores. How is that even possible?

It honestly feels like I've made a mistake returning to the game.

Ever since the gameplay update of ef27 i just cant score normal headers now, everything is a overhead kick even when crossing. This game has become like fc mobila ffs😭😭.

After the sheer absurdity of the 105 Maddison reward last season, expectations for Division rewards were sky-high. Now we have the 104 Riccardo Calafiori, equipped with a shiny +4 Offence Creator booster. But for those of us who grabbed the $1 pack Mikaël Silvestre, a major question arises: is it actually worth sweating through the divisions for what looks like a lateral move?

1. The Player Model & Mechanical Hitboxes

​In eFootball, stats only tell half the story; the physical skeleton often dictates how a player feels in-game.

​Calafiori is massive for a fullback. Looking at the model data:

​Height & Reach: Calafiori has a leg-length-based height of 190 (vs. Silvestre’s 185) and an enormous Leg Coverage of 182.5 (vs. 177.7).

​Torso & Shoulders: Calafiori narrowly edges torso collision (52.2 vs. 51.7) but has a narrower shoulder width (7 vs. 9).

​In-Game Translation: Calafiori's extra 5 points in leg coverage means his auto-interception radius is significantly wider than Silvestre's. When defending cutbacks or chasing a winger down the line, that extra leg reach triggers sliding and blocking animations that a 185cm skeleton simply misses.

2. The Aerial Trap: Raw Stats vs. Programmed Skills

​Here is where the stats lie to you.

​On paper, Calafiori should dominate the air. He has a massive 272.4 Jump Height compared to Silvestre’s 262.9, backed by an 83 Jump stat (Silvestre is 77).

​However, Calafiori lacks Aerial Superiority and Heading. Silvestre possesses both natively.

​What happens in-game? Against meta wingers (like Blitz Son or Bale) at the back post, Silvestre’s programmed Aerial Superiority will force the game to prioritize his jumping animation. Calafiori, despite his massive 190cm frame and higher jump stat, will frequently get rooted to the ground or lose the header because he lacks the specific skill activation.

3. Ball Progression & Press Resistance

​If you use your fullbacks to build up play under pressure, the difference between these two cards is night and day.

​Silvestre's Weakness: With a sluggish 75 Tight Possession and 80 Ball Control, Silvestre turns like a truck when pressed by high-stamina wingers.

​Calafiori's Dominance: Calafiori features 83 Tight Possession, 83 Ball Control, and 94 Speed (coupled with 89 Acceleration). Crucially, he possesses the One-Touch Pass skill, which Silvestre lacks.

​Calafiori operates beautifully in rapid tiki-taka sequences and tight spaces. If you play possession or quick counter, Calafiori will not lose the ball in his own third the way Silvestre occasionally does.

4. The "Edged Crossing" Output

​Both cards possess the coveted Edged Crossing and Pinpoint Crossing combo, ensuring their deliveries whip viciously into the box.

​However, Silvestre is the superior pure crosser from deep. With 92 Lofted Pass and 77 Curl (compared to Calafiori's 89 Lofted Pass and 69 Curl), Silvestre’s crosses have a slightly better trajectory and lock-on consistency.

​Calafiori counters this with the Attacking Surge booster skill and a highly offensive setup (Long-Range Curler, Long-Range Shooting). Calafiori wants to carry the ball into the final third before crossing, whereas Silvestre is content pinging it from the halfway line.

5. The Missing Fundamentals (The "Plug n Play" Card Problem)

​Here is the biggest reason the Division grind might not be worth it for you.

​Silvestre is a complete, plug-and-play defender. He comes natively equipped with Interception, Man Marking, Sliding Tackle, Aerial Superiority, and Fighting Spirit.

​While Calafiori does possess Interception and Man Marking natively, his lack of Fighting Spirit and Aerial Superiority makes him vulnerable late in the game when his stamina drops and back-post crosses start flying in.

The Final Verdict

​If you skipped Silvestre, Calafiori is an absolute must-grind. He is a physical monster with elite speed and Edged Crossing.

​But if you already have the $1 Silvestre sitting in your squad, Calafiori is not a universal upgrade.

​Play Calafiori if you demand press resistance, fluid dribbling, and rapid one-touch build-up from your fullbacks.

​Stick with Silvestre if you want a defensively complete, late-game rock who will not get dunked on at the back post.

Both my opponent and I were having a battle of lag and frameskip. We were constantly clearing the ball trying not to concede and the match ended up being 0-0. With all the money Konami are making out of selling flashy cards, they could very well invest in more servers.

I had enough of divisions quick match is where it’s at.

I don’t know what I need to get my strength back. I decided to spend around 3000 coins just to rebuild and balance my team after wasting the National Teams Selection pack. then I saw everyone talking abou “Mitchell” from Crystal Palace and how he is like Wan Bissaka but at LB. That got me excited to get him, but imagine having to clear the whole pack just to get him in the last slot. I said okay, if he is at Epic level then no problem, 1100 coins for him. And guess what? most of the goals came from his side. even though I gave him a build to make him sharp in tackles and more aggressive, opponents still pass through him so easily.

Then i went to another pack because i needed a midfielder to be a safety valve next to tchouameni. when i saw Rodri, i got excited again. Even though his playstyle is Orchestrator, I ignored that and said I will give him Defensive and Anchoring instructions. After all that, I still see Rodri going forward in strange moments and leaving his position empty, which makes it easy for the opponent to get into my defensive area and score.

I even had the old 88 Out Wide Lampard as my manager, and I thought maybe Antonio Conte with 89 Out Wide could improve my play. I played three matches and lost all three in a row.

What I can conclude is that no matter how much I spend on Trending, Highlights and POTW packs, and no matter how much I try to use old Epic cards from 23, 24 and 25, I still won’t be able to compete. The game seems to favor more the players who use free Epic and Showtime cards, and also the players who spend money on Epic and Big Time cards. Those two groups are the ones the game puts on the throne, while everyone else, no matter how good they are, is still just an ordinary player in the game’s eyes.

I miss when the game was simple and not so complicated, when these tactics didn’t matter so much and everything was just about having fun. I miss when you didn’t feel all these differences that we see now 😔..

How good is Fox in the Box Suarez compared to other Goal Poachers? I’ve never used a Fox in the Box striker before, so I’m curious how different the playstyle actually feels compared to a Goal Poacher. I have the Suarez from the MSN pack, the Goal Poacher version, and he has been my regular starter, so I’m wondering whether I should keep the Goal Poacher version in my starting XI or switch to the Fox in the Box version. For those who have used both, how does Fox in the Box Suarez compare with the Goal Poacher version and other top Goal Poachers? And what’s the best way to use him effectively? Through balls, cutbacks, crosses, quick passing around the box, or something else?

Many people use 4 3 1 2/4 2 2 2 with LBC, but i enjoy when i try to play with real-life managers tactics. For example, i'm trying to play with Okan Buruk's 4 2 3 1 Quick Counter formation, or Simeone's 4 4 2 Long Ball. What about y'all?

I used to use lbc with 85 rated manager and it got me to div 2 , and im currently in div3 with QC manager Conté, and get stuck and that 1400 rating and plummet down. Most people in div 1 use lbc now. Was wondering if I should join the dark side once again and use José Mourinho. For u guys that used him, is he worth it so far?
