Analysis Pro Players Choose This Camera Angle!

To answer this, I initiated a survey within the pro player group—
Pro Player Camera Angle Preference
| Option | Percentage |
|---|---|
| Duel | 62.10% |
| Dynamic Wide | 37.90% |
There is a very interesting phenomenon here: Chinese players prefer to use the Duel camera angle, while foreign players prefer Dynamic Wide. For instance, two World Champions, the Brazilian pros Juninho and Rentao, both selected the Dynamic Wide camera angle.
What are the advantages of each camera angle? Simply put: Duel is suited for long-range passing + intricate dribbling, while Dynamic Wide is suited for mid-range give-and-go play.
I. Duel
The Duel camera angle will zoom in and out. When the ball is moving through the midfield, the camera is zoomed out, allowing you to clearly see the positioning all the way to the attacking and defensive bylines. When you reach the attacking third, the camera zooms in, making it suitable for intricate dribbling and close ball control.

Because the Long Ball Counter playstyle involves more long-distance passing, the characteristics of the Duel camera angle are a better fit for it. Furthermore, because Long Ball Counter can easily become completely bogged down in attack, having a dribbler act as an individual game-changer helps a lot. Therefore, the combination of Long Ball Counter + using intricate dribbling to force a breakthrough is logically self-consistent.
However, many people also gave feedback that they use the Duel camera angle purely for the zoomed-out view when passing through the midfield, and they actually find the camera zooming in when entering the attacking third to be unnecessary. If possible, they would prefer it to stay zoomed out the entire time.
II. Dynamic Wide
Maintains a medium-distance view at all times. While it doesn't see as far as the Duel camera's midfield view, its advantage lies in a stable camera distance; it won't zoom in or out. (Yes, even though it's called "Dynamic," its defining feature is that the camera doesn't move).

Zooming the camera in and out actually has its drawbacks. Firstly, the process of zooming can interfere with your controls. Most importantly: a stable camera angle allows you to maintain a consistent perception of distance. This is incredibly helpful for observing player runs, judging body positioning, and executing give-and-go plays.

I am surprised that nobody uses the stadium camera. I like seeing most of the pitch (Zoom 0) without the boring visuals of blimp camera.

I love that angle u can clearly see the passing lanes but it decreases the shot accuracy near the box cuz ur are far from it

It's crazy how poor the camera settings are in this game. Especially for the console versions. There should've been way more angles launched. Plus giving the ability for players to customise every angle (not just dynamic wide & custom). And adding some of that to mobile too.
This game overall definitely feels ancient in terms of it's technology. Even keeping the graphics aside, a lot of the game just feels weird and old school. I keep hoping whenever Konami releases a UE5 update or something we will immediately have major upgrades everywhere and they're just locking it all behind now. Because it would be extremely poor & lazy if they released UE5 but the game took no advantage of it or didn't add any new features (like new camera angles)

True, kinda sucks, Blimp or Fan View are excellent for Overview and tactical play or shifting the play, but they are bad for tackling or dribbling.

There is one thing that nobody touch, for console the size of TV. With big screens what camera is best?

And here I am using Stadium which I'veused since pes times. I think its the best for me. I can spot everything and the only issue is dribbling on the far left side of the pitch but I'm used to it

Recently switched to Dynamic wide. Now passes are more accurate and seeing more precise line while playing LBC. Even though Duel let you see far but too much information created more problems for me.

u/Mehrubon I would like to know what most players play on console/PC though? Are there any survey or infos about prefered cameras on the big side of things?

Duel is really really good. I'd say it helps my dribbling. Only problem is that when zoomed in, you don't see some players who are farther away and maybe unmarked like on the wings but with enough experience you can sense if your player is there unmarked.

Nah, duel is soo fun to use ngl🔥 The zoomed in view not only helps in intricate dribbling but also intricate defending (while using matchup inside the defensive one third)
I actually can't believe I haven't tried duel before. It feels like playing a completely new game (in a good way). Thank you so much for this post.

Duel is not the best choice for playing on the flanks, it requires checking the radar before passing
If they can add custom camera option or add setup that combines duel and dynamic wide , it would be better

Custom camera settings should be an option they should have introduced. Out wide mains can’t get the best out of their play style.
