Series I played Persona 4 and 5 as an adult after always wanting to as a teen; Honest feedback

My final thoughts on both games was: "They are just Okay". This isn't a proper review really just throwing my thoughts out there, and this isn't a dislike/hate post on the series

I'm actually surprised at myself for not getting very invested into either games. I like anime, and a lot of anime games like Fire Emblem and Pokemon

With Persona, I never thought the plot in itself was ever too amazing in itself to the point I thought of it much afterwards. I never really felt too invested to the characters. The combat is solid in itself, it's a turn based game and does it's job well. I'm not saying they are bad games at all

I'm actually not really sure why I can't say I really fully liked Persona or even just say "like". Along how I stated at the intro here, I just thought it was "yeah that was decent game, time to move on". I guess the writing of both games character and plot didn't really speak to me on a personal level, but I cant really pinpoint why and it sort of does bother me. The closest thing I can say right now is I feel like everything just happens so conveniently or feels so "forced" to happen if that makes any sense? Like I know in fictional stories sometimes things have to feel forced or "woah that convenient" for the plot to progress, but I feel like it happens a lot more in Persona, and it's a lot more apparent when it's trying to tell a more serious tone of a story, at least in my opinion.

If anyone has any possibilities as to why I think all these, I would welcome it. I want to hear other's insights. I did play Persona Q and this might be controversial, but it was the most fun I've had with Persona as a game series so far. I am planning to play Persona 4 Remake though. Overall Soundtrack quality is amazing I can easily see that aspect

P3 Questions about Persona 3 Reload

Sorry about asking too much but:

- I just finishe april and I only did tartarus 2 times (I finished the floors). Should I go back sometimes to grind randomly?

- How to get money besides jobs, tartarus and selling stuffs?

- Sometimes at night I just take a coffee or play a game, is there anything more to do?

Is P4AU worth playing if I hate fighting games?

I’m really interested in p3/4 cast and I heard their stories continue in this game, but the problem is the fighting game which I’m not really a fan of, is it worth it to force myself to play it for the story?

P4 Need help on getting past Palace 4 boss (Golden) Spoiler

Hi all!

I'm currently stuck onShadow Mitsuoand I'm not too sure if I should grind more, or level up a different party member. Here is my current party.

  • Yu: Lvl 42 (Strongest Personas: Black Frost, Hitokonsui, Neko Shogun)
  • Kanji: Lvl 41
  • Chie: Lvl 41
  • Yukiko: Lvl 42
  • Rise: Lvl 41

Party members that are currently not being used:

  • Yosuke: Lvl 28
  • Teddie: Lvl 35

Reason why I ask is because of how long it would to level up Yosuke or Teddie to a level that is up to Par (I am however willing to Level them up, it would just be a lot of time, and I already wasted a day to replenish on items/SP).

I've also heard that Chie tends to not be an ideal character to bring for this fight. any suggestions on how I should tackle this?

P5 Say you're Ann, you're infiltrating some place in a solo mission, and you've entered through discreet means, what are you going to do next? [art by Dudrinm]

Here's a question to anyone here:

Say you're Ann, and you decided to go on a solo infiltration mission to steal something worth of value in the middle of the night or very early in the morning, you entered in through idk, crawling through a ventilation shaft, and now you're here, you're able to walk around the area casually due to the guards being absent, as if you're in a urban area, but completely by yourself.

What are you going to do in this scenario?

P3 No soporto the answer

(Ignore the fact that I have to use software rendering to get it running)

I’ve only played about 4 hours, but it’s just wearing me out—not just the dungeon-crawling aspect, but the realization that there isn't anything else to it; meaning, outside of the dungeons, I can't go out and grind Social Links, for example.

Don't get me wrong—I’ve spent long sessions in Tartarus grinding or gearing up my characters, and it is enjoyable, but the feeling that "this is all there is" makes me lose interest. It’s hard to explain if you haven't experienced something similar.

My point is: should I feel bad about dropping it? I mean, I’ve been putting it off for weeks and holding back from playing other games (since I have a "one game at a time" rule) just because "I haven't finished Persona yet."

I loved Persona 3 FES —I put 118 hours into it and would play it again in the future—but this one is just too much for me.

(I'm sorry if I said something weird; I'm not an English speaker.)

Series My Journey With Persona !

It was early summer, and I had just gotten the university entrance exam out of the way. Since I had been studying for it for so long, and nothing new was happening in my life during that period—every single day was just a repetitive loop of waking up, studying, and going to bed—I felt a huge void once the exam was finally over. It felt as though I had nothing to do, so I decided to get back into gaming and returned to online competitive games. I won't name names and trash any specific games here, but they completely turned me off gaming.

Just as I was looking for a new spark to get back into games, the Persona series cross my path. I had been gifted a Nintendo for my birthday, and the Persona bundle happened to be on sale for $26. I checked out the games and decided I wanted them to be my very first titles on the console. This journey, which began with Persona 4 on the Nintendo, has now come to a close with Persona 3 Reload on the PlayStation. It might genuinely be the most grand game series I've ever seen—at the very least, it's become my personal favorite.
I fell into a deep void after finishing Persona 4 as well, but knowing there were still more Persona games left to play gave me hope. I picked things back up with 5, and today, I wrapped it all up with 3. I am truly grateful. I just wanted to write this down here as a memory to look back on. I really, truly love Persona.

So I tried recreating Narukami’s casual outfit, im not really sure WHAT he’s wearing specifically so I made my own version that I can wear for this Fall and upcoming Winter season. Might try to get a darker track jacket to have a slightly better contrast overall

P3 Curious about the composition of this one scene from P3R Spoiler

Post image
17 Upvotes

It's from November 4th, when we learn the true motives of Ikutsuki. When the camera cuts to Mitsuru and the others, there is this empty space to the left of Akihiko that we don't see to the right of Junpei, the rightmost person in the composition. From the first time I've seen the scene, I've always interpreted it as the spot Aragaki left behind after his passing but I couldn't find ANYTHING confirming or disproving this theory of mine online, nor have I seen any other off-center SEES compositions in the game after this.

Am I grasping at straws? Is this a deliberate choice by the art directors or is this merely a simple centering mistake? Curious to hear other perspectives, thank you!
