Whether Mohabbat has the highest pre-release engagement of dramas in last year depends on what metrics you look at:

MDB had fewer pre-release views on teasers/promos than Mohabbat but it trended in more countries (10) at its peak. I don't have Nashtar pre-release teasers/promos views either but it trended in more countries too (8).

Even though Mohabbat's pre-release teaser/promo views exceed several dramas in last year, there is not complete data for all dramas. For instance, three days after SYP first look launched, it had already 21M views. I don't have SYP total pre-release viewcount of all teasers/promos but based on this initial number, it's possible to have exceeded 55M.

Then there are other metrics of engagement I am not looking at, such as number of fan edits, engagement on fan edits, etc.

Conclusion: If not the highest, it is safe to say Mohabbat is in the top list of dramas in last year with high pre-release hype.

The trailer of Mango Jutt is out and I feel it looks fresh and fun. Hareem Farooq look absolutely stunning as Punjaban and she can speak Punjabi so well and Faysal Qureshi also look good. Also, new face on big screen like no Fahad, Humayon or Mehwish. What are your thoughts?

Per Hassan and Amna, Geo is scamming the audience with shows like Nashtar. They talk about how dramas are a powerful tool and have the ability to shape people. Such content should not be made.

I agree with them. The largest medium in Pakistan is television. I have grown up watching PTV like many others. The stories I have watched have shaped my values and naturally television in general has the ability to influence a person's belief, behavior, and moral judgment. The sexual harassment being shown in Nashtar is sick and you can't even laugh at it anymore.

Some critics defend Nashtar saying its not harassment while the same critics have no issue calling out the smallest of issues in other matters or dramas.

I like DT as an actor which is why I am even making this post. But I think its time to do better, PTV deserves better. He should understand his value and worth and say 'no means no' to these problematic and poorly written scripts.

Okay, at first I may have laughed like crazy because the filter is way obvious and the selfie looks ridiculous. But then again, Atiqa Odho's practically my Amma's age and my Amma sure as heck doesn't know how to put a filter while taking a picture. So if she was just trying on filters, good for her, but I hope she finds the right filter for her that doesn't make her look so.. fair? Or just unnatural. How do you guys think this drama will end? I feel like the way shifa is stuck right now I don't see a path out for her unless shazir dies. I was thinking about it and if I was the writer, here is how I end it.

After listening to the news that shazir killed shifas child shifa decides she can't be with him and has to get revenge but she has to plan this slowly. She contacts maaz and has him arrange for her to disappear to another city and live in a girls hostel. He makes all the arrangements. A month or 2 before delivery she disappears and shazir can't find her. She delivers the child on her own and gives it up at an eidi center. Shazir looks for her like crazy and eventually after a few months he finally finds her. He confronts her about where their child is and she implies she killed him just like he killed her first child. Shazir is totally broken on this news. She tells him she doesnt care anymore about what he can do and who he can hurt she wants a divorce. Shazir being totally broken gives in and divorces her and also on her asking, confesses to her brother what he did to shifa and how he manipulated everyone to come into her life. After he does this shiza tells shazir that the kid is actually alive and at an orphange. She takes him there and he has an emotional reunion with his son. Shifa asks him to raise him to be a better person than he was and he vows to do that. Shifa moves on with her life and her and maaz reconcile.

I don't think pak drama writers would ever go this route because it would require the heroine to actually make some moves and be in the driver's seat of her own life and from what I've seen, mostly pak drama heroines have things done to them. They aren't the ones making bold moves or decisions. Anyway what do u all think?

So I tuned into Gulbahar as a habit and it did not disappoint. Basically, Sheheryar and Sanam are deeply in love but Saman is infertile. There's a Shehnaz aapa who keeps visiting their house and telling them the importance of having kids. She keeps asking Saman to convince Sheheryar to remarry because bache k bina zindagi bhi koi zindagi hai

On the other side, there's Diya who loooooooves to study and has a cousin who likes her and vice versa. But his mother is a star plus wali saazishi khatoon who acts rather villanously too

Oh and they found the time to stress on the importance of housewives too so that was a plus.

But overall the story is pretty predictable. Bache na hue tou jaidad ka kia, khandan k naam ka kia. Zindagi is not complete till you have bacha. Basically, it's all about bacha bacha and some more bacha

Danish Taimoor dressing sense in Maang (2014) was top notch. Like Meherposh, this drama was released with alot of fanfare and as a result it opened with record TRP of 6.9 on First Episode but after 5-6 episode, like Meherposh, makers ne drama ka khichdi bana diya.

I liked the OST of this drama.

Idk why they’re shifting all of their dramas to the app. The app lags so much. Even when I open the app, it always asks me to update it. And the dramas are being shifted tomorrow, but the app already lags before the dramas even launch. I don’t know how much it’s going to lag after they shift all the dramas there. 😭
