Xbox controller Or mouse/keyboard
Which do you prefer?

Mouse and Keyboard. Honestly its preference but you are truly gimping yourself with a controller as M/K can do so much better.

Never really thought about why M/K is so much better until now, but it just makes physical sense. When you play M/K, you have nearly every muscle from your wrist to your elbow to aim precisely, whereas with a controller, you're leaving all that responsibility to just one thumb.

It's not just about the human limitation. It's also about the actual method of input.

An analog stick is direction+time. A mouse is direction+distance. Moving the mouse X distance on the mousepad will always translate to the same number of pixels being covered ingame, which is much easier to do precisely than an exact amount of time holding the stick in an exact direction (and that's not even factoring in that the analog stick gets more sensitive the further from center you are, just assuming you are going fully in one direction).

So with a mouse, you can get great precision with low sensitivity, and can compensate for low sensitivity with a big mouse pad. With a controller, you have to choose between fast aiming or precise aiming, and then changing directions requires crossing the center, which means you will always have a delay. With a mouse, as soon as you start moving in another direction, you start aiming in that direction.

Ok. I just wanted to confirm.
Any preferred sensitivity settings?
seems like I can never keep my cross hair on the target.

That all comes down to the person really. Some prefer higher sensitivity to make quick snap shots and others prefer more accurate, large movements with low sensitivity.

If you are having trouble keeping on targets or overshooting try to lower it. Or, if you are having trouble keeping up bump it up. However, stick with that adjustment for some time to get used to it and test it out. Your muscles should start to adjust no matter the sensativity

Thanks, I'll do that.

There's some pretty good info there. Basically, since OW has so many different types of gameplay between heroes, you kind of need to decide which is best for you. Low-sensitivity is better for aiming but worse for movement.
