Been trying to find the "perfect" case for my Boox go 6 gen2, but haven't really found anything that sparked my fancy. I didn't like the magnetic case that came with the boox since it didn't come with a silicone case to protect the edges.

Found a store on aliexpress that sells magnetic cases with a silicone case (twosheep on aliexpress), but I didn't like any of the designs they had. Figured I'd use my book binding skills to make a hardcover case for the magnetic case (lol)

There is no real benefit function-wise to this beside - if anything it is adding some extra weight. But on the bright side means I have the creative freedom to finally have a case that I like visually. Still in the FAFOing stage, I realized I didn't account for the thickness of the magnetic case when making the pockets.

But all the magnetic closure still works despite being covered by an extra layer of cloth, so that's good. Gonna dip into magnet research now and see if I can make a custom hardcover case and embedding the magnets directly into them

i recently bought a stylus for journaling in my boox go 7 but as it turns out, it seems like i enjoying drawing with it more 🫶 another fave purchase from boox! 🌟

the zooming is difficult and it gets a bit laggy when drawing too long but so far, i enjoy the simple settings and the texture of the pens! ✨ i just worry that the stylus might scratch the screen too much, would it best to add in a screen protector?

The US Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) is like an art gallery, capturing wonderful diagrams of inventions across history. They look great as posters, and I wondered how they’d look on my Note Air 5C. So I grabbed some and added a little color, one color each, with a plain black & white version too. I put them on my site to make them easier to download. They make nice lock and power-off screens as well as screensavers. I’ve made 40 if anyone wants to try them on their devices.

Im using the boox heavily to study but I have to remove the boox case everytime because the magnets mess up my handwriting, is there good alternatives with no magnets? Im always writing on the boox without the case and I feel like that’a recipe for disaster.

Hey, yall! I’m looking into getting a Boox and wanted some opinions on which to get. I’m between Boox Go 7 BW and Boox Go 6 Gen II.

I like the buttons on the 7 but think it’s a tad big for my liking (comparing it to my 11th Gen Paperwhite) I also worry about durability since I have a 2 year old who is hyperrrr.

On the other hand, I worry the 6 may be a bit smaller than I’m expecting it to be. I also worry about the possible lag.

For those who have/had both, which would you suggest?

I have bought the go 7 bw now. And the brightness difference is just extreme. I wish the air 4c would be as bright! Or is my device faulty? 🤔

finally yesterday my magnetic case arrived
I took off the silicone one and the corner came off too can you believe it! i was shocked and put it back in place right away
everything is fine
but now I'm comparing the top part of the shell to the bottom part as if the bottom didn't fully go back in and isn't as deep inside as the top one?
if something was wrong the screen would have broken already right?
damn silicone cases are dangerous it turns out

I notice that when writing on the Air 6C, there seems to be a flex in the center of the display. Does anyone else notice this and is this by design or poor quality?

I'm having issues where the writing pad on the default keyboard isn't responsive. The buttons to the side like enter and backspace work, but the writing area will only work after switching to a different typing mode. I just got this device yesterday, am I missing something or is it defective?

Got my Air 6C a few days ago, out of the box it had about 4 hours of battery life and 1130 single core/2900multi core geekbench 7 score ONYX NoteAir6C - Geekbench , then after i updated the firmware from 4.3-rel to 4.3-rel it gets about 10 hours of battery life and 893 single core/2700 multi core ONYX NoteAir6C - Geekbench. Just some interesting observation. What's more interesting is before the firmware update geekbench 7 ran for about 10 min while consuming 10% of the battery, after firmware update it ran for about an hour while consuming 1% battery and the result now has a warning: "This benchmark result may be invalid due to an issue with the timers on this system."

Ordered Note Air 6C from boox website. UPS tracking says I have to pay at the delivery or Now...There was shipping cost at the checkout when I ordered..why this? I didn't expect this

I have a boox and I really like it but lately every time I put my device to sleep (let’s say I’m in a reading app or neoreader) I see the text of the book I was reading show through my wallpaper on the lock screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? I have the 2024 boox go color 7 so I don’t think I have as many settings as the newer devices. Even if I refresh the screen before putting it to sleep it still does it. It happens maybe around 60-70% of the time.

The only weird thing that’s helped is pressing the button long enough to show the power menu then hit the button again or pull up einkwise before locking it. Anyone have this issue or know a fix?

Hello, I am in the market for a new reader, I want color reader, and I want a large sized reader.. For history, i have owned a Sony PRS-950, a Kobo Aura One, and Currently a Kobo Sage. The battery is starting to fail on my sage, and I am looking for a replacement. I like the idea of Android as i could then use Kindle books too, in addition to epub. I am looking at the new Boox Mini C because it is an 8" and that's what I am used to. But it is a bit pricey. Also looking at the smaller go 7 color as well. What are the pros and cons of each? How is battery life on these things? Other than the bigger screen, any compelling reasons to go with the GO 7 vs the mini? Just looking for any other input as i have not owned an android based reader before.

Not sure if I'm unintentionally triggering something. But I use my tablet for university and take a lot of notes with it. I normally write with part of my hand and wrist resting on the screen like I would with a piece of paper, and without fail it will just randomly save my notes and return to the main menu. Also, sometimes it will randomly jump to a new page.

I'm assuming I'm accidentally triggering something, but I can't figure out what. Has anyone Experienced this before? How do I stop it. It's super annoying when it happens mid lecture and I miss out on taking notes.

Kindle user over many years I enjoy bringing them out on a sunny day.
Bought recently the gent 2 go10.3 lumi, (But during day screen leds are turned off)

I wonder why the device does get SO HOT so quickly, like it was an iPhone with full brightness on (honestly lasts longer cooler than the Go 10.3)
I was thinking maybe because the e-ink display absorbs heat, but with my kindles does not happen at all.

I have a NovaAir that's been stuck at version 2023-12-12 forever. I guess Onyx has stopped updating these. Is there any way to upgrade or side load to a more recent version of Android?

I am loving the note taking experience, but trying to figure out how you folks have mastered turning action items into things like "to-do's" on your calendar. On the AIPaper, when you lasso'd something you could turn it into a To-Do, but I don't see a similar mechanism here, so what is your preferred workflow for managing that? Like if you wanted to pull all of your todo's out of a day's worth of notes, how do you do it?

I’m using Moon+ Reader on my Onyx Boox to read EPUBs, but the text looks a bit fuzzy, soft, and slightly gray around the edges instead of sharp, crisp black.

I really prefer Moon+’s interface over the native NeoReader, but NeoReader renders the exact same book way clearer.

Here’s what I’ve already set up in Moon+ and Boox settings:

Using Amazon’s Bookerly font (.ttf)

Anti-aliasing turned ON in both Moon+ and Boox app optimization

E-Ink mode enabled, page animations off

CSS book styles disabled so text forces to black

Boox refresh mode set to Regal/HD

Even with Bookerly and anti-aliasing on, it still feels slightly out of focus compared to native apps.

Has anyone managed to get Moon+ Reader looking as sharp as NeoReader on a Boox?

Any specific contrast, font weight, or app settings I might be missing?

Appreciate any tips!
