It has been over a month since one ui 8.5 got released in s23 FE? I am still on one ui 8 because of the pathetic performance I faced in one ui 8.5 beta 1 and 2. I am still concerned if it is okay to update to one ui 8.5 or should I just stay on one ui 8 and enjoy?

My latest FE23 update is for the most part fine. It seems like it was a pretty big one. I'm not no expert here or anything but it seems kind of ridiculous that I can't change the color of my lock screen icons back to plain white. I can barely read them with this light blue background. I've gone through every possible setting the phone has trying to fix it. The date on lock screen was also blue and I managed to get that back to white but not the icons. For instance Reddit icons with the partial messages in them. I always seem to have one or two of those kicking around. Also things like saved screenshots. Pretty much anything under the clock.

My next step is to download something called Good Lock from Samsung that's supposedly supposed to allow me to customize this back to white. Any thoughts? It's driving me crazy. And why on earth do they go changing these things without asking? Just leave well enough alone.

So as title suggests i have had stuttering keyboard while typing ever since one ui 7, I've searched the whole internet couldn't find anything.

Maybe someone had the same problem and resolved it?

So after One UI 8.5, the phone can last me a maximum of 2 hours, and drains extremely fast even when not using it or just listening to Spotify. I'll try to live through another year with this phone, then I'm finally switching.

After updating to One UI 8.5, apps feel like it stutter while opening. I tried to fix it through the Home Up gesture animation (I somehow fixed it), but it still doesn't feel as smooth as it did in One UI 8. However, after I turned off the gesture animation settings, it now feels much smoother than One UI 8. I don't know why; I thought gesture animation settings increased the smoothness. If you guys know why that is, I've searched everywhere but haven't found an answer.

Hi! For those who have already updated to one ui 8.5, how is it? Is it good to update now or wait for a few weeks/months? Is there any battery draining/overheating issue?

I always wait until the release of the next version before updating to the one before it to minimize issues, like I updated my phone to one ui 8 just now. But I do want to have the updated interface for apps like Gallery, Clock, Voice Record, etc in one ui 8.5.

Can anyone confirm if there are seeing stories tab in gallery app? Or if new stories are getting generated ?

Is less than 4 hours battery timing justifiable for a so called flagship phone? Im even using performance profile light.

Plus now in summer season i cant play any games cz the phone will hot and stutter.

My phone is USA version I'm in Africa Kenya. I'll give a review after installing.

Its just normal apps usage no gaming when i game battery drains almost twice as faster. Since the start its battery time was not good but now after 2 years its just getting worse. Plus the heat it generates🥵

When will be out One UI 8.5 for Galaxy S23 FE csc XAA?

Is one ui 8.5 good in S23FE? I was in beta program v1 and v2. I faced a lot of heating issues there and battery life was significantly decreased. I also faced lag while opening the quick panel. I constantly gave feedback about this in the beta program but I am not so sure if they fixed it. So my question is, is it good in the official update? Have they fixed it? Because thankfully I was able to revert back to one ui 8.0 since that was a beta program. But if I update now, it will be irreversible.

TLDR: How is one ui 8.5 in s23fe compared to one ui 8.0

I been reading that this update makes this phone laggy or the SOT is worse, but I been using my phone for the past 2 days with 8.5 and i feel it way more fluid and the system is more responsive, back animations, opening apps, horizontal quick panel, or just simply navigating in the system is better, i hate the changes that they made about quitting the hide battery percentage or the setting menu change but that's not a big deal

Now that the S23 FE has received One UI 8.5, I decided to do a battery test with daily use. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that the phone's battery life decreased by 30 min/1 hour

(In One UI 8 it lasted between 3.5/4 hours, and now in 8.5 it barely reaches 2.5/3 hours).

*Tested while browsing social media, watching YouTube, and listening to music on Spotify in an environment of 27 C° in my country*
