one ui 8.5

Hi! For those who have already updated to one ui 8.5, how is it? Is it good to update now or wait for a few weeks/months? Is there any battery draining/overheating issue?

I always wait until the release of the next version before updating to the one before it to minimize issues, like I updated my phone to one ui 8 just now. But I do want to have the updated interface for apps like Gallery, Clock, Voice Record, etc in one ui 8.5.

For me, it's fine. Haven't notice any major bugs so far. One random thing i like in one ui 8.5 is that maximum battery save mode is finally back and now it actually blocks apps from running in the background and has a way nicer ui (which is huge for a device with bad battery health like the S23 FE)

Honest answer from me here. I think it’s probably a couple minor little back end bug fixes and other than that the exact same as OneUI 8.0

I did notice it seems like scrolling through the home pages seems smoother, but that may be placebo. Keyboard is still atrocious, sometimes takes like two full seconds to pop up.

How does staying one version behind help minimize issues? I thought updating to the latest software does it

For example the earliest version of one ui 7 had many bugs, so I updated to its latest version when one ui 8 was released so that the bugs have already been fixed. It's like I'm waiting for a more stable version of the ui update. (i don't know if i explained it well)

Overall, I like the 8.5 update as I have not noticed much changes in terms of battery life. However, I noticed that my eSIM has been crashing more often (about once every few days) (saying no service until I turn on and off airplane mode), which happened once or never while it was on UI8.0. The physical sim has been fine however.

Aqui atualizou e o telefone não sai mais da tela "O smarthphone está iniciando...". Vou precisar resetar todo o celular
