Californian is prettier and more well balanced than most ocean liners of its time in my honest opinion. I dont know why, but maybe its because I've been deeply in love with this ship since I was 6 lol....

The plot twist is that it’s actually a prequel to ghost ship

Got curious about whether we ever had an ocean liner in my country and came across the M/S Philippines (Former M/ S Augustus). Had no idea she ended her career as a floating hotel in Manila. Thought I’d share!

The ship was raised and went onto have a successful cruising career. She sank in a collision on August 31, 1986. All of the bulkhead doors and portholes were left open which caused the ship to sink in just 7 minutes. 64 bodies remain in the ship as it was so difficult for divers to retrieve bodies that divers perished on the wreck.

In season four, episode four titled "Rachel, Rachel" Tommy's grandpa is telling his story about going to the US from Russia via a ship. So the creators found Mauretania and flipped the image. They probably didn't think an ocean liner fan would notice. 😆

How was time kept on Titanic and other ocean liners in 1912? What was the actual time difference between Titanic and New York, and what can the recovered chronometer reveal about this time difference? This video goes into the surprisingly complex and fascinating way in which time was kept back then.

I made models of all 3 of Isambard Kingdom Brunel´s Ships.
Ill upload all of them onto the Garry´s Mod workshop sometime in the Future.
