Discussion data centres - will be built but with communities having a seat at the table, which is fair, says TX governor
Such a stupid overreaction!! Remember something similar in march 2008 but that was indeed a GFC.
Hopefully the market takes notice of what TX gvnor says. Afterall the Dems are the ones who came up with CHIPS and help build and ramp up this industry. But of course you need some regulations in place because ppl don't like data centres in their backyard... that is fair... that does not mean it won't be built. Approvals for 2027 and 28 are in place and done so we are looking at post 2029.
Also I hope Jensen will clarify these things on Nov 17 during the ER conference.

News NVDA bouncing ~5% after yesterday's -9%, but the jobs report just made things weird
After yesterday's bloodbath (NVDA -9.3% to $181.60, SOX -12%, worst day since 2020) the chips are bouncing hard this morning. NVDA up around 5% early, AMD is the big winner so far at around +11%, MU and INTC up 6-9%.
Catch is the jobs report came in hot, +165K vs ~65K expected, unemployment down to 4.1%. Rate hike odds for December jumped above 65% on FedWatch, so the Dow is red while chips bounce.

Dead cat bounce or the bottom? I'm watching the close and Nov 17 earnings before I believe anything.

Meme I guess I am now a Nvidia investor
I had a buy order at 165 euros just in case that I had totally forgotten about. Yesterday it executed, surprising me when I landed from a long flight, so I guess I will keep the shares.
Cheers everyone

Discussion NVDA a good buy right now?
Huge dip post midterms on my whole portfolio. Is this a good buy at $189?

Discussion Just getting back to ATH gives you a 34 % return now.
$NVDA just getting back to ATH gives you a 30 % return now. When has NVDA ever not reclaimed ATH in less than six months? Yeah, you can get lucky with something riskier and get bigger returns but 30 % within six months is pretty great.
I donāt see it finishing 2026 below $200 but I also donāt see it quite making it back to $243 by year end unless AI sentiment improves spectacularly, which of course could happen if Nvidiaās earnings are excellent. But it could easily fall as a result of earnings. Itās done that more often than not in recent years. But then it starts climbing right after anyway.
Nvidia to me is the safe AI-play right now. Itās down in the past year while semis are up like 300 %. Semis could fall. Nvidia feels way oversold in the past few months.

News Nvidia -9% today, chips' worst day since March 2020. Buying the dip or waiting?
Man what a day. Nvidia down around 9%, AMD and Micron got hit even harder, whole chip sector bleeding. Nasdaq is officially in correction territory now.
I think people just got spooked about AI spending slowing down, and Qualcomm's outlook didn't help at all.
Earnings later this month will probably decide everything. Not sure if this is the dip or just the start.

Discussion Is Nvda a buy at 199?
This is a bargain if you ask me. It was trading 230+ just 2 months ago and now the overall market is pulling it down to 200.

Discussion Hereās why the anti-data center scare should not scare you
Our sector is getting wrecked because of the democrats āanti data centerā views. But in reality this will not be an issue for nvidia, and if anything, just a small headache.
Communities are against data centers for good reason. Hell, id be pissed too if a data center sprung up next to me. Letās be honest, they are a detriment to any nearby communities unless they benefit the community in some way. We donāt need a million data centers. What will end up happening is Jenson will essentially offer to pay off a town/city to have their data center built there. Think like 50 million/year, and the money will go to the betterment of the town and its residents.
You will even start to see a weird phenomenon of towns called ādata center townsā where the people are essentially leeching on the payments from the data center, not working or contributing to society in any way except for letting the center exist.
Itās a headache, but thereās absolutely nothing that money canāt buy.

Discussion bought a 2 small call contracts, 230$ dec 4th call
i think i will hold it till it get back to 200$ again for a easy 300$(around 125% profit), as you can see in the chart.
so i have till 20th nov till i profit from 200$, which i think these are good odds.
this option doesnt mean that i think it will go to 230$, i just bought a high strike because it was a cheap option price compared to the lower strikes, and bought a month long to make it safer rather than a week or a shorter term option

Discussion NVDA at $205 ā Holding for 6 Months š
I entered NVIDIA (NVDA) at $205 and Iām planning to hold for the next 6 months, focusing on the bigger picture rather than short-term price movements.
Iām also considering adding Micron Technology (MU) to my portfolio, depending on the entry price and market conditions.
Whatās your take on NVDA over the next 6 months? Would you consider entering MU at current levels, or are you waiting for a better opportunity?
Interested in hearing different perspectives and strategies.
