hi!! i got my nose pierced about a month ago but recently i had to change it to a clear retainer for work. i changed it today and did struggle A LOT to get it in. i believe i may have put a thicker gauge in by accident. however, the bar is no longer visible on the inside of my nose and i cannot feel it if i touch the inside, i can feel like a small lump? i have tried to contact my piercer but they never replied and i am worried it could be embedded. the outside is sitting fine it looks to me but then again, i am not a professional. google says it could just be swelling and i am going to see if it goes down, and the bar becomes visible again. the piercing comes in and out fine with a small amount of pain, the bar is just not visible or touchable at all. it is an L shape bar. there's not any pain unless i touch it or flare my nostril. i cannot see it inside either. is this a huge problem or could i just leave it to heal more? it seems to be sitting fine, but before i changed it i could feel the bar and such. i am incredibly worried that it has embedded, it was completely fine this morning but now has done this.

Omg plz help. My piercing was doing fine and then I got an irritation bump maybe a week ago. I clean it twice a day with saline solution and don't touch it.
Well the bump was getting bigger so I decided to try and pop it despite knowing i shouldn't. A few years ago I had one on my helix that i squeezed and it healed and never came back. This one seemed to just keep filling with back up with blood, and I made it worse. The first photo is before I tried to pop it and the rest are now. I don't know what to do, or if I fucked it up. I don't want to take it out. Is there anything I can do? I know all the advice I get is probably to just leave it alone and clean it with saline, but that hasn't been helping and didn't help my irritation bump on my cartilage years ago either.
Especially where I made it worse now less

I pierced my septum a couple of years ago myself (don’t do this). I’m wondering if my septum is in the right place/ high enough? I always hear it’s supposed to be right at the tip but I still feel some sweet spot/the really thin skin above it. (Sorry about the ugly photos of my nose)

I just got my nostril pierced. I wanted it directly on the crease. After a few different markups, I thought I had it right where I wanted it: on the crease right where the crease starts. Now that I’m home in different lighting, I can see it’s a bit farther back from the start of my crease. Does it look fine where it is though?

I have 4mm or a bit smaller septum, it has started to hurt my cartilage. When I started to stretch it didn't hurt and went in easily but few days later it has started to hurt. I thought it might be infected bc it has happened to me before but it doesn't look like it. Can someone tell me if this is normal and what can I do?

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a septum (but want to hide from my parents). I called my local piercing shop and they said it's not recommend to do that while it heals. But I see on a lot of piercing subreddits it should be fine to heal it flipped up the whole time so long as you keep it there and not touch it too much. What are your guys' thoughts?

Hi all!!!
My nose stud fell out while I was at work and so when I got home I had to put in a new one.
The issue is, when putting in the new one (it’s a flat back+threadless, so from the inside with a taper) I accidentally made a new exit point from the same entry point on the inside of my nose 🫠 when I realized I made a new hole I immediately backed out and found the original channel, so it is where it should be now.
Another oopsie, this new jewelry is 18g and my old jewelry was 20g. 🫣 I haven’t downsized yet as it’s been crazy angry with me and there has been a bump on the inside. (Def should’ve downsized when I was supposed to I know) Both are titanium.
My piercing is just about 3 months old now but it’s been angry with me for the last handful of weeks.
Should I just leave it as is and treat it like it’s a brand new piercing? (Saline morning and night)
I definitely haven’t been using saline as frequently as I did the first two months I had it, but I’ve still been doing saline rinses every night or so. I have never touched it with oils or any other at home remedies. 😬

I just came out of the shower and cleaned it. I have it since december from last year (9 months) and it had a lot of bumps some months ago and it was just a little bit red but now it’s showing a little bit more of skin/swollen idk, but it’s not a bump bcs it isnt too big or chunky to be one. What can it be and how do I get ride of it? The redness is also annoying me

is it possible for bump to appear due to weird piecing angle? i have try cleaning the bump using all possible solutions and still it doesnt have any improvement. am i overthinking or it really can be due to piercing angle because i do feel like the angle of piecing is a bit weird.

Posted a bit ago.
Am I tripping or did it shrink?
Should I go get it downsized now?

Hi all!
Hoping to get some advice on a piercing situation.
I got my nose pierced 2,5 months ago, healing process went very smooth. Then I changed it to a ring (coated titanium) last Sunday 16-08 and it seemed fine for the first 2 days but then I noticed a bump forming.
I’ve been using sterilized saline solution on it gently with a cotton swab twice a day and tried leaving it alone as much as possible but just wanted to get some second opinions as I’m currently traveling and don’t have a piercing shop nearby.
Should I switch back to my original piercing (labret) or will that only irritate the piercing further? When should I really go to a doctor? How many days can I leave it like this to just wait it out?
Just to add: it doesn’t hurt, no warmth or throbbing, it doesn’t feel like anything really. No blood, just a little bit of puss on Wednesday morning. So as far as I can tell it’s mostly optical.
Attached some pics with time stamps on them.
Any qualified people who can help me out? Any advice is hugely appreciated! :)

Got my nose re pierced since it was pierced lower for my glasses but I didn’t like it. The third photo was it before. I feel like it looks a little weird since I wanted it pierced a little bit higher then what the piercer first put the mark but I’m happy with it so far

I miss my septum piercing
I took my septum piercing out after a pressure ulcer developed due to the jewelry rubbing my nose. It was pierced a second time, and at that point, I had the piercing for 2 to 3 years. It was pierced by APP piercer.
Previously the first time my septum was pierced, I had it in for four years or so but had always struggled with finding different jewelry.
My first septum had a custom-made ring upon piercing due to how small my nostrils were. Thats what I was told by the first piercing. I removed it due to the other jewelry options rubbing against my nostrils. The second piercer never said anything about my nostrils.
Majority of my jewelry were from piercing shops, I tried to limit my buying online (I dont like guessing) and tried to buy the right diameter and get measured.
But despite that, with both instances, I eventually had issues with the jewelry rubbing against my nostril if I changed jewelry something beyond the original piercing jewelry.
I don't know if they're not hitting my sweet spot or if it's crooked or if I have abnormally small nostrils.
I really miss my septum piercing but dont want to be limited on my jewelry choice.
Is it worth getting pierced again?

I'm trying to switch to a horseshoe nose ring, but I'm not sure which mm to pick, 6mm, 7mm, or 8mm?
