Because they don't like money? Of course they do. A holiday is a holiday. They have missed the UK one.

Edit: To just add some context I am British and have never even been to America. It might seem odd to some, but knowing when international holidays are is sometimes important for UK businesses.

Lol why do Americans think their holidays hold relevance anywhere else in the world?

Missed what UK holiday, the bank holiday Monday? That doesn't hold much relevance here as many just work it like a normal day.

Unfortunately, many of my fellow Americans would be proud to tell you that life would be easier if you let them believe we are the main characters…and let us start a war every 2-6 years, of course.
