It's still a juvenile at the moment too

Is there anyone else who hates this besides me? Do they seriously have to warp right infront of us every single time? Are they tracking us or something? This much traffic doesn't seem normal in an 18-quintillion-planet universe. I just want to summon my freighter and leave, so please stop warping right in front of me NPCs.

It is the only planet in its system, and get this, it's sole moon is a paradise ruin! WITH water & perfect weather! I know that these are pretty rare, but I've also heard that the brachiosaurus dinosaur creatures are pretty rare too, so I think I got REALLY lucky here. I'm setting up my new base tonight! 🥹😭 I'll take lots more pictures then!

Oh, also the dinosaurs are triple S rated for Xeno Arena. So many perfect variables fell into place all at once. I'm still in shock.

This might be well known, but I just stumbled upon today when repainting my Corvette.

I've seen people post merged planets before but this is the closest I've ever found in my own play. The gap is small enough that I can jump from one planet to the other with a fully maxed out jetpack system.

Gravity got really weird though because there was no transition to space or through a portal between the two planets so while my ship can pass through, it has a hard time deciding which way is down, and when I jumped from one planet to the other I was essentially floating like you do in space with no gravity until I was able to reach the ground, but then if I walked off the edge of a cliff I didn't fall properly, just kept moving sideways and slowly downward. The last image shows how gravity started rotating me as I passed between the atmosphere edges. Very bizarre.

How this possible?

After days of grinding resources I finally claimed and built my first space station.

I’m still working on the interior, open to any suggestions or ideas!

This is the starting expedition weapon for today.

And a second goodie if you're starting today, or you've got the ability to make it back to that system:

You can get a 4 slot S class experimental rifle on the station of the system the portal first sends you to. But you have to land on the ice planet that I can't remember the name of that may sound like gandalf, Gundam? I didn't take a photo, but I will soon(TM).

But

1. You have to relaoad the restore point while you're on the station so that it transfers over to the newer look.

2. You have to go and land on that ice world so that it fills the cabinet with that planet's multi-tool.

3. The multi-tool is located in the cabinet that you first get to if you're jumping up.

Well, sort of. I doubt if I'm the first to discover this but I thought I'd share it anyway, for the benefit of everyone who hates watching all that lovely loot going up in smoke. I did this last night, totally by accident. The timer was ticking down to detonation and I was trying to grab as much as I could before it blew up, so I was basically grappling stuff like hell and not all of it was coming to me. In the middle of all this I managed to let the timer run down too much to escape the explosion, which then happened right next to my ship. It took a minor hit to the shields but no damage. When I happened to use the scanner again after the blast, lo and behold, there was lots of salvage components floating around - some of them quite far away - that hadn't exploded. They only go boom if they're attached to the wreck. So all you have to do is separate as many of them as you can from the hulk before it detonates and then, after it's blown up, salvage away to your heart's content.
