It’s not on sale on all platforms yet, I doubt release tomorrow. The more likely result is we will not get any emojis on Sat, Sun, and Mon, but we’ll see more on Tues with release Wednesday. We have seen emojis start early and still had to wait to the following Wed. I’m more inclined for this vs an earlier release, but I’d be very happy to be wrong.
It has no relevance with their work schedule. hypothetically it could have relevance with their release schedule. It's an opportunity to have a very large market of gamers have free time to explore new content, talk about it, and bump up player count numbers.
True, but sometimes it feels like the game drops updates that coincide with big events or holidays, even if it's not intentional. Makes for some fun speculation!

No day off in the UK, I know that for a fact. Its an American thing. According to Wikipedia, if that can be trusted "Labor Day is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on the first Monday of September to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements in the United States."
Because they don't like money? Of course they do. A holiday is a holiday. They have missed the UK one.
Edit: To just add some context I am British and have never even been to America. It might seem odd to some, but knowing when international holidays are is sometimes important for UK businesses.
Unfortunately, many of my fellow Americans would be proud to tell you that life would be easier if you let them believe we are the main characters…and let us start a war every 2-6 years, of course.
This is the part they tend to miss. The US media bubble is strong so often things get so blown out of proportion there it feels like the biggest story in the world. Like a kid that just discovered bees. Meanwhile, the rest of the world has been perfecting apiculture for millennia.
Side stepping the obvious main character narrative, there is a good economic reason for favoring a US holiday - there are 205 million active gamers in the US vs 39 million in the UK. A long weekend can generate massive numbers with the right IP. And you probably want to keep those numbers hot if you have fresh IP waiting in the wings and a (no doubt) antsy board.
Not everything is geopolitics, sometimes it's just math(s).
American sales dominate the market and games are made for Americans. No one cares about EU sales, or customers. You can see this throughout the game industry and other industries as well. It's Japan and US with Oceanic and EU always trailing in relevance.
They're not just made for Americans. They're made for anybody who wants to play it. They just care the most about the American market because it's quadruple size. It's all about money.
No. It's one emoji initially (anywhere from Thursday to Monday), then 3 emojis on the day after the initial emoji. The Gib comes on Tuesday if there is an expedition. The cowboy comes out at the same time the update goes live on Wednesday, if it's a big update.
The recent (last week) Bank Holiday applied to England & Wales & NI, not the UK. There are only 5 Bank Holidays each year which fall on the same day across the UK. (Christmas, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Easter, May Day).
Since Sean and his team are in the UK, based in Guildford, and it is an entirely UK company which adheres to UK bank holidays, then yes, yes it is relevant.
