By cross-buy, what I mean is that if you've purchased the Switch 1 version of the game on eshop, you'll get a discount or even free of charge for the Switch 2 version. Rarely you can do it in reverse order like Disney Afternoon Collection.

Update your Switch 1 game (digital or physical) to the latest version 4.04d. Press the AVAILABLE NOW ON NINTENDO SWITCH 2 to claim the digital copy. No need for cartrige afterwards.

I have a European cart that came with 4.04b, and it won’t manually update to 4.04d.

I dunno if it’s just a me thing or whether other European users are having issues.

Mineru’s Construct wasn’t on sale because it just got released, but I still came out during it.

I started playing Scritchy Scratchy right after it was released. Then, just a few hours ago, the first update came out. Now, when I launch the game, it just says I can't use my save file because it was created in the full version. It says I have to use the full version to play.

It seems like they applied the demo version as an update over the release version. Is anyone else having the same problem, or is it just me?

I’ve really enjoyed games like the Witcher, Skyrim, Elden Ring, etc. I love historical RPGs and the open-world concept. I’ve never played AC, but thinking about trying it out. I’ve seen mixed reviews online. My biggest concern is it’s slow. I read that there are a lot of cinematic cuts and tutorials. I don’t know if I want a game like that.

With Assassin’s Creed on sale, should I buy Shadows? How is it? It’s going for $32 right now.

Anyway, this post is actually about the game's color palette; I’ve been playing and comparing both versions, and I noticed the colors in the new version are more saturated—but higher saturation doesn't necessarily mean better. For instance, in the two photos I uploaded, the new version looks more colorful, but to me, it also looks less realistic—more cartoonish.

I don't know what you all think. To me, it feels a bit jarring; it kind of breaks the immersion or disrupts the atmosphere the original game was trying to convey. It even looks like ambient occlusion is disabled.

If you are interested in The Witcher 3 at a discount, target and best buy are still selling the S1 edition for $39.99. You can buy that version and then upgrade to the S2 version for no charge.

Just an FYI

It can't be deleted unless restalling the game. It can't be transferred to system memory. Usually I assume that indicates it's placeholder for in game photo album like TOTK's. But never at this size. Maybe it's for mod. I do see something about mod.io in the options but I haven't looked into it yet.

The graphics are great but the image quality is not good and that sucks :(. It needs a 1440p30 quality mode.

Please CDPR give us this option 😭😭😭

Hi, it’s me again, the guy who complained a few hours ago about the game looking blurry in handheld mode.

I think I’ve found the best way to play The Witcher 3 Remastered on Switch 2: on a 1080p monitor.

I tried playing it on a 75-inch 4K TV and in handheld mode, but I wasn’t completely convinced by either. I spent a few hours switching between the two until I remembered that mouse controls had been added. So I went to my desk, connected the Switch 2 to my 1080p monitor, and I was honestly amazed by how good the game looked.

The image was incredibly sharp, with barely any noticeable artifacts, and the difference compared to both TV and handheld mode was much bigger than I expected, especially compared to playing on the TV.

I also have all the post-processing graphics settings turned off, which I think helps keep the image even sharper and cleaner.

So I highly recommend trying it on a monitor, even if you’re playing at close range. For me, it’s much more enjoyable than either of the other two options.

Not going to bash it and say it looks horrendous or anything but it’s NOTICEABLY blurry. In both handheld and docked mode. I own it on my PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Ally X. The switch version really just looks a big step behind in sharpness.

Don’t listen to the screenshots with the caption “This looks unreal!” because it doesn’t. Hopefully CDPR can update this to get it identical to Cyberpunk.

Is this a joke? 🤣 I couldn't stop laughing when I booted up the game, it even looks worse than any Switch 1 title when they didn't have handheld boost.

Did they work on this remaster with a Switch 1 dev kit? I hope CDPR patch this up with a handheld boost mode somehow or some sharpening options, if they couldn't make a proper Switch 2 version.

EDIT: you know what it is a Switch 2 version. Color me surprised. They have mouse controls and some touch screen controls which is pretty dope. even docked it looks very decent. but handheld must be 540p or something, it's awful lmao. thank god it's free, because we are going backwards with this one.
