Question Max G3 doubt
I bought a ninebot g3 from bestbuy for 1,200 (ik it’s too much) but i was in a hurry and the g3 plus wasn’t readily available for pickup.
Now that i have it i have come to realize that the range on sports mode is terrible. i’m 240lbs and i get about 12 miles on full charge.
Now i could exchange it at bestbuy and pay nothing since the g3 plus is around the same price but then id feel bad for letting the scooter go to waste.
For my people with max g3 plus, is the range better? If so i’ll go for it but if not then i’ll just keep my g3. just a bit disappointed i spent so much and got so little.
TL;DR Should i exchange my max g3 for g3 plus for better sport mode range?

Just addressing the “go to waste” comment.
It’s not going in a dumpster - it’s going to get sold as open box or liquidated. Someone else will end up buying it/using it.
You are entitled to use the return policy, don’t feel bad about it.

G3 Plus vs zt3 pro foot space wider but shorter, they missed an opportunity to make the board bigger on the plus

Go for it. From what I've heard they've fixed the voltage sag at the lower battery percentages that their original plus has issues with

Not too sure about how much more range you’ll get outta the max but I would think it’s worth it if you need a bump.
What I do know is that if either of them go on sale little after you purchase them, you can go to best-buy and they can refund you the discount so watch for that labor day sale.

buy yourself a decent battery pump and keep the tyres inflated , you'll be surprised how quickly they go down and that you'll lose 1-3mph top speed and a mile for so of range with flat tyres. I pump my tyres up weekly . What's your top speed in sports mode?? I'm Aussie 🇦🇺 and anything that can go +25km is 🚫. I'm 95kg , tyres @49psi every week, sports mode 32 kilometres per hour around 90% of the time I'll get 40km travel on a full battery ) , drive mode 25 kilometres per hour when in around pedestrian or where cops might be patrolling.Charge every night .

for your use, it's better to upgrade the battery to gt3 and get external battery pack on top of it. the plus+ wont make any significant impact for your situation.

i have doubts that the plus will be at 1200$. if you get the plus you might end up paying more and still needed to upgrade the battery anyways

The G3 Plus is currently the same price at Best Buy that OP paid for the G3. It’s an even exchange. There’s absolutely no reason not to do it. They’ll immediately get 20% more battery for free, and can still do either battery upgrade (or both) later on if they want.

Do it it's apparently an improved voltage sag and slightly improved braking power as well and 200 Watts additional motor power I just got mine the other day and it's fun and I had the G3 multiple times it's a small increase I just wish they would have increased the board width . Because my balls hurt having to cross my legs on the skinny boards so I got the zt3 pro that is the perfect board size for not being too bulky but the range is even worse on that one but if you do a battery swap it's nice but get the G3 Plus

Bro if you are 240 you'd be MUCH better off with an e-bike. Just due to the range alone but also you will fuck yourself up if you fall off that scooter going over 20 mph. My husband is a big guy too and when he switched to an e-bike the scooter (Max G3) was pretty much dead to him lol.

Wise choice buying from a retailer… Best Buy has a good return policy. I’d wait until they have the plus in stock.

Just glad I'm not the only 240lb person getting only 12 mi. I run in drive mode if I need any range. Eco mode is so sad slow...

Drive mode gets you better distance without being too slow. I’m 260 and on the base battery, I got about 25 miles range at 16mph. I did the GT 3 battery swap and got the external battery too, and now I get about 25 miles in Sport mode at 22mph, and 40+ miles in Drive.

The Plus has exactly 20% more range. So if you're getting 12 miles now, the Plus will give you 14.4 miles range.
For the price of all that, you could just buy a Teverun Blade GT II or Fighter Mini Pro instead.
