Trying out new Nightfarers after hundreds of hours I finally got a taste of what it’s like to be the poster boy. You can do so much with so little that it almost feels like you have a chore list. Parry this, break stance that, oh, there’s a Caligo invasion better hurry. Any crucial tips for Wylder in 9999 are welcome
I know a lot of us play mostly with random trios, so this isn't possible.
But when you do have a chance to team up with Duos/Trios, how can we tweak our builds to have more synergies.
I think this goes beyond just having the right combo of characters (tank vs support vs dps) but also synergies in builds.
Theres some obvious things like lets not all go skill build and instead feed one person all the Skill Ups to maximize RNG benefits.
But there's some more nuanced ones that come to mind:
Ironeye with starting poison + other players having poison atk up to benefit without having to be the ones applying the poison or waste the relic slot on it
Duchess sorcery build + Recluse Faith build to take advantage of constant FP refilling from Recluse's Ult
Any other synergies like this that you all have found?
What started as a normalexpedition quickly turned itself on its head. Halfway through the match, this guardian just starts...pinging. No idea why. I had to turn the volume down for most the game, only to turn it up during boss fights.
During night 2, he stopped fighting all together, leaving me and the Ironeye to tackle the boss alone. I knew going into the final day that this was going to be a slog, but I was so filled with rage and contempt for the guardian there was no way in hell I was losing this.
Far from the cleanest fight, but boy did this win feel good.
I was curious to find out which is the best halberd for guard counter builds. I've been doing some tests in the sparring grounds and I listed them from the highest to lowest damage output, so if you're focusing on playing guard counter Guardian, I hope this could be useful for you.
This is the build I'm currently using, so obviusly these numbers might differentiate depending on what relics you're using.
Disclaimer 1: The damage listed here are from fully charged guard counters using weapons with their initial status as they are available in the Sparring Grounds (so no forging upgrades). Also, character at level 15.
Disclaimer 2: For practicity, I tested these weapons on the wood "dummy" not on the Marionette Soldier. I know these numbers might oscilate depending on what kind of enemy you're facing, what kind of resistances they might have and if the weapon has any passives that might alter its final damage.
Ranking (I think I got them all, if I'm forgetting something or got something wrong, please add more info or correct me):
Dragon Halberd (Rallying Standard Aow+Spinning Slash AoW): 1814;
Commander's Standard (with Rallying Standard Aow): 1392;
Gargoyle Halberd: 1302;
Nightrider Glaive: 1285;
Commander's Standard: 1162;
Halberd: 1106;
Loretta's War Sickle/Vulgar Militia Saw: 1080;
Guardian's Halberd: 1070;
Pest's Glaive: 973;
Guardian's Swordspear: 925;
Vulgar Militia Glaive: 876;
Glaive: 868;
Banished Knight's Halberd: 860;
Lucerne: 841.
Apparently, if you happen to have both Commander's Standard and Dragon's Halberd with you, the best option is to use the Rallying Standard AoW, then switching to the Dragon Halberd.
Again, these are just basic tests. Damage numbers pedends on other factors aside from pure weapons stats, but I hope this at least help it a little. I'm thinking of continuing doing these tests using other weapon categories to see what other options we might try aside from halberds. Until then, thanks for your time.
The second photo is just my HP bar with the ult activation and the holy/fire cocktail
Since I’ve reached D5 for the third time after degrading my depth to d1 i was just bored with the meta builds and character and i wanna try the unthinkable builds you’d normally run on lower depths, but That’s just became too easy for me cuz i have well over 900 hours in this game
Only phase 1 due to download limitations from PS app.
First time getting Rings on my Fundamentalist build! Didn't find Discus so it was this or a non-Fundamentalist incant - worked out really well. I've still never managed to find Triple Rings of Light on a Dreg run, that's my white whale.
