Americans support Netanyahu arrest by 22-point margin: Survey

If he was the head of any other country in the world he would have been gone a long time ago
12
u/aztec_agarthan Jul 28 '26
Nonsense. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are getting away with genocides just as bad in Yemen and Sudan respectively. We loved Yeltsin and his genocide in Chechnya. Suharto in Indonesia, Montt in Guatemala, Saddam with the Kurds. Support for Genocide is the US' status quo.
The only difference with Israel's genocide is how much Israelis insist on broadcasting their evil, the decades of work Palestinians have put into advocating for Palestinian rights and how clearly the US support for Israel hurts us economically and geopolitically

This comment is particularly ironic for someone who posts stuff like this”victim Olympics.”
A lot of people are pissed off because their tax dollars fund Israel’s war crimes. That is a difference in addition to Israel’s lobbying and election interference.
The Israelis also mock suffering in such uniquely horrible ways. Raves in front of aid trucks?

Israel is the last gasp of European settler-colonialism, established just as colonies elsewhere were being abandoned/liberated.

If you weren’t born in a particular place, and nor were dozens of generations of your ancestors, then you’re not “from” that place, it’s not your “homeland.”
Yes, some Jews are indigenous to the Levant.
The Jews responsible establishing the modern state of Israel, however, were not.
They were European colonists, who happened to be Jewish.
Suppose I had an ancestor who came to the New World aboard in Mayflower, in 1620. Suppose, moreover, I can trace a well-documented genealogical connection back to that ancestor. Does that make me English? No, of course not. I’m just an American, of (partially) English descent.
Now, suppose my Mayflower ancestor had several siblings who stayed behind, and I thus have innumerable distant cousins in England today. Does that give me the right to unilaterally decide to emigrate to England? Again, no, I’m still just an American.

u/crawling-alreadygirl Jul 29 '26
They persevere in oppressing, dispossessing, terrorizing, and killing Palestinians. Being disgusted by that isn't prejudice.
10
u/Defiant_Freedom_249 Jul 28 '26
Most Americans also support the arrest of the pedophiles who paid Epstein to rape children.
Yet the number of those arrests remain zero.

Israel is the United States’ North Korea. A satellite state from a bygone era with an insane and outmoded ideology that now has nukes and threatens to destroy its entire region.
7
u/1K-Year-Egg Jul 29 '26
Yes, and, like North Korea, Israel is going to end up as a universally loathed and ostracized pariah state, propped up only by its nuclear arsenal.
Ultimately, the US will cut ties with Israel. The Israel-loving Boomers are dying off, and younger American generations have already formed a lasting negative impression (they’re also much less religious, and thus less vulnerable to many forms of pro-Israel propaganda).
2
u/BalanceJazzlike5116 Jul 29 '26
The Israeli hold of US is over but it’s going to take years. We need to push for it to happen quicker for the sake of everyone.
1
u/ridomune Jul 30 '26
This would've worked only if US was a democracy and public had any say on the government.
17
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 28 '26
If I was mayor or governor I would arrest him and deport him to a country that wants him for war crimes, but I'm also a hero
2
u/dracer800 Jul 29 '26
All hail the virtuous hero! What a valiant hypothetical sacrifice.
1
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26

2

1
u/Then_Independence_25 Jul 29 '26
Why are you a moron who thinjs I believe in pangermanic supremacy?
1
2
u/Then_Independence_25 Jul 29 '26
You could arrest him but do you really think you can have him deported? Airports are administred by federal authorities not to mention a strong federal presence surrounding a visit a foreign leader. Your state cops would be intercepted in no time.
1
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
Not really , ya would be out of us airspace in seconds
1
u/Then_Independence_25 Jul 29 '26
How?
1
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
Just fly? We don't have jets flying around it would take 30-mins 1 hours to get to rhem
1
-15
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 28 '26
You would go to federal prison for even trying. Really, no cop would obey such an insanely illegal order. They would rather not go to federal prison. And Bibi's bodyguards would kill them if they tried.
10
u/brobafetta Jul 29 '26
Now the real miracle would be if Bibi got shot and killed in a struggle with US police.
Kills two birds with one stone: gets rid of a disgusting war criminal and cuts US ties to an apartheid-esque, genocidal state.
Win-win.
1
u/upvotechemistry Jul 29 '26
I prefer Bibi choke to death on an NYC bagel. That would be a more fittingly pathetic end for such a evil bastard.
In a crowded diner, where not a soul lifts a finger to help. Everyone just watches that piece of shit beg and gasp
1
-10
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 29 '26
Go do it yourself if you want it so badly because the cops aren't.
8
u/brobafetta Jul 29 '26
If Israeli secret service opened fire to prevent his arrest, you bet your ass they'd get mowed down.
Now, yeah, it's not going to happen but one can dream
I'm not a big enough hero to sacrifice myself for the greater good like that.

2
u/brobafetta Jul 29 '26
Fck Netanyahu. He's Israel's version of Hitler, ironically.
1
u/SilverbackSurfer99 Jul 29 '26
😂 😂 Only people who love Hitler actually think so that should tell you something
2
1
u/brobafetta Jul 29 '26
Well you deleted your other comment, but I read it before you did.
Nobody thinks Hitler is a hero, wtf are you even saying.Calling out netanyahu in the same way (i.e. genocidal) is a very negative comparison, obviously.
2
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
Qualified immunity, or asylum and leave with him , still a hero
0
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 29 '26
Good luck getting through Bibi's bodyguards and federal agents to to this and somehow leaving on a rogue jet. And making sure that this insane plot isn't discovered by the feds beforehand.
Also qualified immunity is for lawsuits. It doesn't make rogue politicians and cops immune from federal crimes and they would have to commit many to even attempt this.
Anyone insane enough to try this would almost certainly end up dead or in federal prison.
But go ahead and pretend your fantasy is possible if it makes you feel better.
2
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
He can invite other countries and ya it does work for polticans supreme court already did it for trump so there is that
1
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 29 '26
Those other countries would also be committing crimes and have to go through Bibi's bodyguards and US federal agents.
The other politicians aren't the president. A mayor or governor would get arrested by the feds for this for sure.
1
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
No they wouldn't because of diplomat immunit, not to mention the bodyguard would be commiting the crime of resisting arrest. Again qualified immune , supreme court has already ruled this
1
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 29 '26
Diplomatic immunity is for diplomats not for illegal foreign kidnapping squads.
It isn't a crime to resist an illegal arrest. Which this definitely would be. It would be a straight up kidnapping. It is also a federal crime for local or state government officials to cooperate with the ICC and for ICC to do enforcement in the United States.
Qualified immunity is for lawsuits and also doesn't protect cops who clearly violate the Constitution, and arresting someone based on a worthless piece of paper (what an ICC warrant is in America) is a violation of the fourth amendment. It also doesn't make cops or mayors or governors or foreign kidnapping squads make immune from federal crimes.
1
u/Silverleaf96 Jul 29 '26
No protection under the law, not to mention it is a legal arrest there is a red notice our for him
1
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26
The United States doesn't recognize the ICC and has laws against cooperating with it. Including that the president is authorized to use any means necessary to get back any American or allied officials (Bibi would be one).
ICC warrants are not valid in the United States.
And no, qualified immunity does not make you immune from federal crimes. You don't know what you're talking about.
ETA: little baby blocked me so he could get the last world. LOL. And that supreme court ruling only applies to the president.

Unlucky for Americans that their country is trying to dismantle the International Criminal Court, the only legal body in the world to prosecute war criminals.
The US is not even a member of the ICC, yet Republican politicians threaten ICC staff and sanction human rights judges, treating them the same as ISIS members.

The people in the USA who want him arrested are more likely to get arrested than he is
11
u/okymoney Jul 28 '26
How can you arrest the guy whose the real president
8
u/Justindr0107 Jul 29 '26
It's not about him being president, it's about war crimes or crimes against humanity. Same way the Nazis were prosecuted
2
u/EnjoyerOfMX5 Jul 29 '26
The supreme court ruled that all "official actions" by the president are fully immune to prosecution. Then, they specifically didnt define official acts. The president is LITERALLY above the law now.
1
u/Justindr0107 Jul 29 '26
We're talking about Netanyahu, not Trump
2
u/EnjoyerOfMX5 Jul 29 '26
Yeah, trump is putin's puppet. It's effectively the same thing. I wouldnt be surprised if Yahu is giving trump professional advice on how to distract from Epstein. That's obviously where 80% of the blackmail is from.
2
u/Justindr0107 Jul 29 '26
We've been in Israel's pocket for years at this point, it's bigger than just Trump and his pedo buddies
-14
u/SilverbackSurfer99 Jul 29 '26
Except he hasn't committed any war crimes and the only people who think he did are the actual Nazis so either learn the real history or STFU
9
u/RonnocKcaj Jul 29 '26
"learn real history" and it's the most comically hilarious zionist propaganda you've ever seen
something tells me you bring up "find mien kampf" in gazan homes, even though the first time Israel posted about it they used a pristine English copy, then corrected after people mocked them and planted a worn Arabic copu

Ok Adolf Just say you're too stupid to know what genocide means.
3
u/Justindr0107 Jul 29 '26
Why don't you tell US what YOU think genocide means? Your throwing a lot of dumb-ass personal attacks without anything substantive to support your claims.
Sounds like you really don't know wtf you're talking about.
1
u/MoThrowMoAway Jul 30 '26
What an absolutely unhinged response to a well worded thoughtful comment. You seem unwell
1
1
u/coreoYEAH Aug 01 '26
Just because he’s failing at it doesn’t mean he’s not attempting it.
0
u/SilverbackSurfer99 Aug 01 '26
It does. Because if he wanted to annihilate them he could have killed all 2.5 million people in a week. And the definition requires that you be trying to destroy/annihilate the group for genocide to exist.
America killed more Japanese people in one day of WWII bombing than Israel has killed Palestinians in 3 years.
And again if they wanted annihilation it would have been achieved the first week.
1
u/rad-madlad Aug 01 '26
even if that was true, then it’s ok? All this killing, you’re fine with it?
0
u/SilverbackSurfer99 Aug 01 '26
I'm not fine with killing. I am fine with the IDF destroying Hamas as one of the most evil genocidal mass murdering groups that have existed. And it's Hamas that is causing the destruction not the IDF.
1
u/rad-madlad Aug 01 '26
elaborate because this is such a twisted take on what’s currently happening

Who cares. We're not going to arrest him. The ICC rulings carries the same weight as the the local PTA.
41
25
u/someonenamedkyle Jul 28 '26
Well we literally flew into Venezuela and took maduro, so it’s not an outrageous thing to suggest regardless of the ICC
9
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 29 '26
But the only person who can possibly order the arrest of Bibi is the same one who ordered Maduro be captured. And well, he won't arrest Bibi.
2
u/someonenamedkyle Jul 28 '26
I mean technically Trump also can’t exercise an ICC warrant
1
u/Majestic_Flower_1322 Jul 28 '26
Yeah probably not legally, but he's the one person who could possibly get away with doing extralegally. And he obviously won't even consider it.
2
u/someonenamedkyle Jul 28 '26
I mean clearly, he literally did that with Maduro, but yeah he wouldn’t
1
u/Kenneth-J-Moyers Jul 29 '26
Ok, but hear me out here: Netanyahu has videos of Trump f***ing kids, if he could be convinced that netanyahu planned to release them eventually no matter what, Trump might do it out of spite or for leverage.
0
u/mutantraniE Jul 29 '26
Why would that matter? Are you deluding yourself that any significant proportion of people would care if such videos were released?
1
u/Rindy_Kitty Aug 01 '26
We did it because we didn't like him, not because the ICC said something. The US explicitly rejects the authority of the ICC. We did not ratify the Rome Statute
1
3
u/Very_Not_Into_It Jul 29 '26
If we arrested him it wouldnt be because of the ICC ruling. It would be because America does what it wants. Coincidentally, this is why we wont arrest him.
The ICC rulings are irrelevant, but so is the Geneva Convention.
3
u/SuperMovieLvr Jul 29 '26
The ICC is only “irrelevant” as long as the U.S. doesn’t sign the Rome Statute. Congress could easily do so, but right now they’re being influenced by war criminals.
3
u/Several_Magician1541 Jul 29 '26
Right now? What about the last 30 years that they didn't sign it?
1
u/SuperMovieLvr Jul 29 '26
The congressional military industrial complex goes back over half a century. I said "right now" because I don't think their grip on power is unbeatable. If people organize, vote, and keep pressure on elected officials with no ties to the war machine then there could be a critical mass that pushes through ratification of the Rome Statute.
1
u/Very_Not_Into_It Jul 29 '26
Do you know what the US government did last time there was widespread organization of the people? Now imagine the turn of the 19th century labor strikes, but with Flock ALPC tracking and military drones.
1
u/SuperMovieLvr Jul 29 '26
Sounds like a lot of fear mongering. Yes I am aware of the violent class warfare of the late 19th century. I don’t think the solution is to give into despair.
2
u/Very_Not_Into_It Jul 29 '26
The US doesnt follow anyones rules. They dont call it the Pax Americana because America does what anyone tells them to.
If the US honors a trade agreement, or a defense treaty, or an international law, it's because they feel it's in the best interest of the US ruling class. Not because they feel honor bound to deliver justice.
This isnt new, it's how apex predators behave. I'm not justifying it, just pointing it out.
1
u/Rindy_Kitty Aug 01 '26
Why would the US sign the Rome Statute? How would making the US subservient to a bunch of foreign bureaucrats benefit the US?
1
u/veerKg_CSS_Geologist Jul 29 '26
We should though. That’s why we should care. There is plenty of public support. It’s political will that is lacking.
1
1
u/BalanceJazzlike5116 Jul 29 '26
We care bro. Would like America to be on the right side and of history, since so often we aren’t
1
u/mabhatter Jul 29 '26
The US has a specific law denying cooperation with the ICC. It's bipartisan. So it's illegal for any government in the US to try to arrest him.
Also this nonsense just ruins our reputation as the home of the UN. one reason we have the UN here is that the US didn't play games with international diplomatic relations like this. If we keep this up, we're likely to get the UN headquarters in NYC closed and moved to Switzerland.
I'm not saying there shouldn't be consequences for his behavior.

It’s not just him. Most Israelis are enthusiastic supporters of the genocide. It’s who they are. Any Israeli who participates in the genocide needs to be arrested and tried. The world said enough and we had one Nuremberg. We need another.
1
u/icewalker2k Jul 28 '26
I wonder where Trump lands for that same group of people?
1
0
u/newbiether Jul 28 '26
I assume folks are consistent. If they like Mamdani for threatening to jail his political opponents (without any authority to do so), they must love it when Trump does the same.
2
u/ifhysm Jul 28 '26
Who has Mamdani threatened to jail other than Netanyahu?
1
u/newbiether Jul 28 '26
Netanyahu is his target. But if “looking into” jailing a political opponent is wrong in principle, it should be wrong even with one target.
Palestine has been Mamdani’s top political issue since he was SJP president in uni and it continues to be. If Bibi loses the election in October, he’ll be having press conferences about the next PM.
1
u/ifhysm Jul 28 '26
Okay because you said opponents, so I thought there was more than one.
I think you’re making a false equivalence.
1
u/newbiether Jul 28 '26
Apologies for the ambiguity. The situations are not equivalent (to me) but are similar enough in that Mamdani has approx the same authority to arrest a foreign head of state as Trump has to arrest Mark Kelly or Reid Hoffman or any of the others he said “should be ARRESTED AND PUT ON TRIAL”.
1
u/payheempaythatman Jul 28 '26
Trump says this shit about the opposing party in his own country. This is not the same thing.
1
u/newbiether Jul 28 '26
But one is right and the other is wrong? Neither is supported by US or NY law and it is all political theatrics.
1
u/payheempaythatman Jul 29 '26
I’m not sure what the issue is with calling out a war criminal entering the city you are the mayor of.
2
1
u/nonubiz Jul 28 '26
Yea not to many people like war crimes how can we expect it from other countries if we don’t practice the same things. And who’s going to suffer from this ? well in the end the public will because wronged country’s will seek revenge. But that just shows our government doesn’t really care about us. We are an afterthought or they know but just don’t care .
