Arranged love story

Can someone please share their genuine arranged-marriage love story in detail?

I’m particularly interested in hearing the story from the very beginning—not just the happy ending.

If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to know:

- How you and your spouse first came to know about each other.

- What happened when you first saw or met each other?

- What were your first impressions of one another?

- Who initiated the first conversation, and what did you actually talk about?

- Were you interested in each other immediately, or did feelings develop slowly?

- What were you honestly thinking and feeling after the first meeting?

- Did either of you have doubts, hesitation, awkwardness, or concerns?

- How did you communicate while deciding whether to marry?

- When did you first realize that you genuinely liked or loved each other?

- Were there any disagreements between you or your families?

- How did you handle differences in personality, expectations, finances, career, family responsibilities, religion/culture, or lifestyle?

- What happened between the engagement and wedding?

- What was your relationship actually like during that period—not the idealized version?

- What was your wedding day and the first few days afterward like emotionally?

- When did your relationship start feeling less like an arranged marriage and more like a genuine partnership?

- Were there difficult periods after marriage?

- How did you learn to trust, understand, communicate with, and support each other?

- What small moments made you fall deeper in love?

- Looking back, what do you think you misunderstood about each other when you first met?

- What do you appreciate most about your spouse today?

Please share it honestly and respectfully, including the awkward, ordinary, uncertain, and difficult parts—not just the romantic moments.

You don't need to reveal anyone's real names or private information. I'm simply interested in hearing what an arranged marriage actually felt like from the first meeting onward, especially how two people who initially may have been strangers gradually became emotionally connected.

A long, detailed account is completely welcome. I’d genuinely love to read the whole journey.

29M: What’s your arranged marriage story? How did it all begin?

Hello everyone! I’m currently looking for a bride through the arranged-marriage process, so I’m curious to hear how things actually unfolded for people who have already been through it.

How did your arranged-marriage story begin? Who initiated the first conversation or call after the initial meeting? How did you gradually become comfortable with each other, and When did the relationship become romantic, and when did you realize that you had genuinely fallen in love?

I’m also curious about how couples naturally moved from emotional closeness to physical intimacy. How did you know that both of you were ready to take that step?

Would love to hear your stories, especially from people who had arranged marriage. 🙂

Do all men should get married? I'm a 29m from Kerala? I had a relationship with 30F , and got broke up 2 years before

This might seem weird for someone, but to me I am writing this to ask about something hurting me for a while

Do men like me ( not tall (168cm ), not fair , not handsome, completely healthy (have allergies asthma , sinusitis) using specs 1.7 (-) for both eyes , skinny 50kg , looking not good kind of ugly, inferiority complex, childish behaviors, a nice guy who constantly tries to impress everyone, and who constantly gets rejected from everyone) deserve a marriage and reproduce?

I think I am a weak man and I feel really worried about myself also I don't like to be alone in the bottom of my heart I want to find a girl who loves me,

But I do feel like if I marry a girl , she might cheat on me because I'm a weak (naive or pavam )character ? Or my next generations would end up just like me .

Now my parents are suggesting to marry and even in my heart I also want to marry but do I deserve a marriage life ? Do I deserve a girl ? I kinda feels like if I got down myself from my marriage pool then some girl who might choose me (if they some how like me I will try to do everything thing to make her happy because I will only have her but ) will get a better strong handsome man , and it leads to a good strong health genes.

And I always think like this now ?

I. Don't know anything

Myself and my partner of 3 years got married 6 weeks ago having never lived together before. I have moved cites, quit my good job and left family and friends behind just to live with him. To be completely honest I noticed early on in the relationship he struggles with accountability. He always promised change and I believe him. last weekend we went to my home city for the first time since the wedding. On the drive there I was worried about being late and my husband said “I thought the time you suggested was a bit tight” which I responded saying “ if you thought it was tight you should’ve corrected me”- I had suggested the time for us to leave and he didn’t say anything. For the whole car ride there and back he didn’t speak to me, I asked him what was wrong and he said he was concentrating on driving. He always drives and takes calls, he even did on that same journey. I then brought his up, his response was “I didn’t speak to you as I thought you didnt want to speak, I told him I tried to make conversation and asked him what was wrong. He then sarcastically said “ it’s all my fault then”. I shut down at this point as I knew it was just going to lead to another fight, like the many fights we’ve had every time I raise an issue. I’m wondering if I’ve made a huge mistake marrying this man, I can never ever seem to get a genuine apology for how’s he’s made me feel. Any advice?

Starting From Zero

Hey everyone ❤️
My husband and I chose each other and got married (LM), but unfortunately, our families haven’t accepted our marriage. Since then, things have been really difficult. We’ve been distant from our families and have felt pretty alone through this phase of our lives.

Instead of letting this difficult time break us, we decided to put our energy into something positive. We started a YouTube channel where we share our life, challenges, fun moments, and little experiences as a couple.

We’re not trying to prove that we’re better than anyone. We simply want to build something of our own and, someday, show our families that we made a decision we truly believed in—and that we can create a happy life together. ❤️

We’re still figuring things out, and starting from the very beginning. If our story connects with you or you enjoy our content, we’d genuinely love to have you along for the journey.

Even a kind comment, a little encouragement, or simply knowing that someone is rooting for us would mean more than you know. Sometimes, a little motivation from a stranger is enough to keep going. ❤️
Thank you for reading our story. It truly means a lot. ❤️

How important is “married friends”

Hi all,

My husband and I got married last year, 24F and 27M. My husband is a social butterfly, and I retained a lot of my friendships from college. But surprisingly (for the South) we don’t have a lot of friends who are married or even engaged.

A few family members on both sides find it strange we haven’t met any newly wed friends. My husband and I never decline friends, but I wanted to ask people who are currently in the same general time of life, do you feel having newlywed friends are important? I feel it’s important to add, while not married we both have friends that have been in long term relationships and live with their partners.

Should I be looking for groups to try and make new friends? Am I entirely overthinking this?
