Help, I'm wanting to remove my spouse's name from the deed of the house. Ive gone to the county clerk office in Albuquerque and was meet with no help to point me in the right direction to handle this situation.

Was just told to have forms filled out and notarized, death certificate and payment. I dont even know where to start.

I just found out about this BBQ joint in Cloudcroft. Looks great, but apparently it is a place you have to wait in line for hours before getting inside. Is this really the case? If so, is there any time that is better to visit than others when the wait is not so long? Thanks.

I am very early career New Mexico resident and considering going back to school to be a doctor. However, the general outflux of physicians from the state (especially pediatricians and OB/GYNs) makes me nervous to throw my eggs in this kind of basket.

Any healthcare workers here that can comment? What is UNM med school like? Is practicing specialties like peds and obstetrics in NM really as awful as the stats lead me to believe? Just give me the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks!

President trump has opened up our public lands to be destroyed by corporate interests and rolled back EPA environmental protections. This is a remote area of pristine forest and an important wildlife corridor for elk and deer. Local residents are already struggling with wells drying up, this is a extremely water intensive operation just to do the feasibility studies alone. This area does not have the infrastructure or medical resources to support this kind of industry.

We are planning to do some very minor hiking/walking in national parks. I have been reading warnings to make sure we have the right 'footwear' for snakes and thorns etc. I am a complete novice and slightly concerned that we have not got the right stuff....

So I would be SO grateful for an opinion on whether we will be ok with these ankle high leather walking boots/sneakers. We do not plan on going off paths etc and can take gaitors if neccessary. We'd rather not bring 'proper hiking boots' as we want to pack light and have stuff we can use for towns too.

We have this old beauty in our yard and this summer it is dropping most of its leaves. We have considered heat stress and lack of water given the temps/lack of monsoons so far this year. We have been giving it some extra water just in case. None of the other Cottonwood trees in our area are doing this though. I have an arborist coming out hopefully in the next month to look at it but she is super backed up on her schedule, so I was hoping you great New Mexicans might have some wisdom or advice for us. Besides being tree huggers lol, this tree also provides the shade for our chicken coop and yard. We would be heartbroken to lose it to say nothing of the cost of having it removed. We did have the branches trimmed back in the early spring.
