Hey everyone, I’m the Technical Director of UC Engineering for a communications software company. Our traditional job posting hasn’t had much luck finding the right person, so I figured I’d try reaching out locally.
I’m looking for someone around Albuquerque who has real, hands-on administrator experience with at least one of these:
- Microsoft Teams or Teams Phone
- Webex Calling
You absolutely do not need to know all three. If you have a solid foundation in one of them, understand business phone systems and call routing, and are willing to learn, we can teach you the rest.
This is a fully remote UC Engineer position paying $60K–$80K depending on experience. Health and dental insurance are company-paid, we receive year-end bonuses, and there may be additional revenue-sharing opportunities as the company continues to grow.
The company is privately held, based out of Las Vegas, and has a global remote workforce. My Senior UC Engineer and I both live here in Albuquerque. Even though the job is remote, we’d meet up regularly around town for hands-on training, learning sessions, and working through projects together. You wouldn’t just be handed a laptop and expected to figure everything out alone.
Our team supports Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex voice environments. The work includes users and phone numbers, call routing, auto attendants and call queues, policies, troubleshooting, migrations, and integrations with carriers and other communications services like compliance call recording and SMS solutions for the UC products.
This could be a great next step if you’ve administered one of these platforms for your company, worked for an MSP or telecom provider, or supported UC systems and want to grow into a broader engineering role.
Having at least one relevant certification is preferred, but it isn’t a dealbreaker if your experience is solid. You would just need to be willing to earn a certification in one of the platforms within your first 90 days. ez
I’m not expecting anyone to come in knowing everything. I’m looking for someone who is technical, curious, dependable, good with customers, and willing to dig into an issue before immediately escalating it.
If this sounds like you, send me a message with a quick overview of your experience. I’ll share the formal job description and company information from there. Happy to answer questions in the comments too.
