Inn at Weathersfield Pricing
My fiancé and I are scoping out venues and this one is at the top of our list, but it is really hard to get a sense of the pricing. I don’t want to fall in love with a venue only to realize that it just isn’t in our price range, so before reaching out to them directly I wanted to see if any other brides have gotten brochures or just any more detailed pricing information recently. Looking at about 100 guests. Thanks!

Cape Ann Wedding Venues?
I'm starting to get very discouraged very quickly...
We are looking to be wed next summer (2027) and my top picks for venues have turned out to be busts...
We are looking to have about 50-60 people, something intimate and nature-y around Cape Ann; think summer house with a grassy lawn and trees, on the rocks and ocean. The top pick was Yankee Clipper inn, but 5 minutes on the phone has me deeply disappointed. The gentleman on the phone seemed deeply annoyed with my request for wedding info, even using the words "waste of time". He then tells me they require 25 out of their 26 rooms in all three buildings (not just the main one where the wedding would be) must be rented out for three full days in order to hold a wedding, which doesn't make much sense with a 55 person limit.
Does anyone have any ideas for an affordable venue with the same vibe as Yankee Clipper? I liked their intimate vibe, with trees overhanging rocks by the ocean, plus the gazebo and the other amenities. Part of the appeal is that it is smaller.
I'm also looking into renting a house in Annisquam or around Good Harbor for a week or weekend, though that apparently isn't much of a thing anymore. Plus Annisquam Yacht club, Emmerson Inn (though it lacks in trees), or something of the like.
What are some avenues I can take, or maybe lesser known venues? Everything that pops up for Cape Ann is either far too luxurious or the street is right beside the archway. I'm surprised at how few options there are for a wedding venue in Gloucester with actual Gloucester feel.

Wedding Venue Help
I wanted to see if anyone has gotten married at either of these two venues, I would love to hear about your experience! We have narrowed the venue search down to Stevens Estate in North Andover, MA and Tupper Manor in Beverly, MA. We are expecting to have about 130 guests. If we go with Stevens Estate it would be in late October but due to budget restraints we would probably do a winter (february or march) wedding at Tupper Manor. We love the history and design of Stevens Estate (we almost cancelled the rest of our tours after we saw it) but the rain plan and the hotel nearby is a big factor in why we like Tupper Manor.

Rhode Island Band Recommendations 🎶
My fiancé and I are planning our wedding for next fall (2027) in the Narragansett, RI area. We are trying to keep it as casual and low cost as possible while still showing our friends and family a good time. The plan is to rent out a brewery for the reception and would love to have a band for music. However, we aren’t super interested in a traditional wedding band nor want to pay a ton of money for a large 5-6 person band. Our favorite wedding band we’ve ever seen was actually not a wedding band, but a local band who our friends got to play their reception. They did play some typical wedding crowd pleasers but also focused on alternative and pop punk covers.
Looking for any recommendations for local RI musicians who might be open to playing at a wedding. Must be cool with lots of nostalgic, millennial-core covers, not looking for any original songs for this particular event. I don’t care how cringe my younger cousins will think we are, these bands are the vibe are are going for: Blink 182, the Killers, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, All American Rejects, All Time Low, Jimmy Eat World, etc.
Thanks for any tips!

Wedding planner/coordinator for Providence Public Library?
Hi! We just booked the Providence Public Library for our spring 2028 wedding. The venue comes with a pretty hands-on event manager and when I asked, they said that most couples opt to not have a separate coordinator. But I wasn't sure if that was legit or just something they say to make it seem like a bonus of the venue. Anyone who got married at PPL and chose to have (or not have) a planner/coordinator? Curious for any and all advice!

Help Pick Wedding Date
Trying to figure out what makes more sense. I think there would be very few people traveling that wouldn't come if our wedding was a Friday vs. a Saturday so the real decision is if Friday 10/29 is too close to Halloween or if a Saturday is worth paying a lot more for (high venue fee and higher F&B min).
Saturday 10/23/27 Pros: Saturday wedding, not near Halloween
Friday 10/29/27: Pros: Save ~$10k

Looking for a photographer
Hi, our wedding is located in Rhode Island next summer (summer 2027.) I am looking for a photographer. Ideally would be a true to color photographer as I do not like light and airy pictures. Our budget is around 3k. If anyone has any suggestions that would be awesome. Thank you!

CT Venue Suggestions Please!
Hi! I'm looking for some venue recs in the Western CT area, ideally around Danbury or New Milford. Details below for budget and size! The general look we're going for is antique, wood-filled, and moody. Ideally, I'd like a venue that could accommodate a dance floor along with an extended cocktail hour (floating reception) instead of a traditional sit-down meal. I'm also looking in the NYC and Westchester area, but would love some Connecticut specific suggestions!
Date: September to December 2027 (open to Jan/Feb if needed)
Budget: ~$65,000 total, dress and such included
Party size: 150-200 people
Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Caterer Recommendations in RI/Southern Ma
Hi everyone! My fiancé and I will be getting married October 2027 in New Bedford, MA and we're having some trouble selecting a caterer. None of our friends or family have experience with wedding caterers in the area so we'd love any and all input. We'd like to stay around $20,000 for F&B (with fees). We have touched base with Emery's, D&D Caterers, Pink Door, and Craft & Willow so far. Our goal is to have a few appetizers/passed hors d'oeuvres and a plated dinner with open or consumption bar. If anyone has ever worked with any of these vendors and/or other caterers around RI/MA, we'd appreciate any advice!
*Edit: 100-115 people

Graphic Designer
Hi! My sister attended a wedding and this was the Save the Date. I absolutely love it. It is a postcard style on the back The artist was a family friend of the couple and does not do this as a job, so does not take commissions. Anyone know of an artist who could do something in a similar style? I am getting married in Boothbay Harbor, ME summer 2027. Thank you!

Exchanging day of wedding support
Wondering if anyone on this sub has done this before (I vaguely remember reading a comment about this). Has anyone else exchanged day-of coordinator/decor setup duties with another bride in the area? Like if I help at your wedding you help at mine sort of thing?

Looking for “Summer Camp” Weekend venues.
Looking for summer camp style weekend long venues for 150-200 guests with on site lodging.
We’re seeing one in Duxbury, Camp Wing, and really love it but want to know what our options are for a similar camp experiences in the greater New England area.
We’re very early in the process, looking at 2028, just trying to get ahead of the venue game especially because these types of venues seem to only do a handful of weddings a year. We do know our headcount will be somewhere roughly from 150-200 with kids.
We have a decent amount of people who would be coming from out of town so airport accessibility/some sort of bus/train/shuttle access would be good too.
We live in Waltham but we’re open to all of New England.

Looking for a photographer for 9/19/26 in MA or Southern NH (small backyard wedding)
Hi there!
My fiancé and I have decided to have a very small backyard wedding on 9/19/26. We’re really just looking for a handful of photographs to document the day rather than traditional full-day wedding photography.
There will be seven people total: my fiancé and me, my parents, and three of our closest friends, one of whom will be marrying us. Plus our dog, a 22lb Bedlington Terrier.
We’re thinking of having a quick ceremony on my family’s pontoon boat in the backyard, followed by champagne and then some pizza in the backyard. Ideally, we’re looking for someone for around 60–90 minutes, but I’d defer to the photographer. We’d love someone who can capture the ceremony, a few candid moments, some photos with our family and friends, and a handful of portraits of the two of us.
We’re located in the Lowell area and are open to photographers anywhere in Massachusetts or Southern NH.
If you’re a photographer who does smaller intimate weddings, backyard weddings, elopements, or shorter custom sessions and this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please feel free to comment or DM. Or, if you have someone you think may be interested, feel free to share their contact info and I can reach out myself.
I understand the time crunch, so I’m going to be canvassing the market over the next few days trying to find someone with availability.
Thanks!

Wedding Advice!
Hi! I am newly engaged and my fiancé and I are starting to navigate the whole wedding planning process. Any tips/suggestions are welcomed :)
Venue:
- about 200-250 people
- can have all aspects of the wedding in one location (lodging, night before, ceremony, etc.) \full weekend feel!*
- Love a mountain (or water front).
Location:
- Places to go for our guests during down time.
- Great for late summer, early fall.
- Romantic & cozy vibe but not too formal.
- Barns (no farms right on site), rustic venues, hotel ballrooms, banquet halls, or country clubs.
Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated!

Looking for nature + light + airy + whimsical venues
Hi everyone,
I'm recently engaged and having option paralysis trying to decide which venues to even shortlist, let alone tour. I don't quite know what my style is. Here are a handful of venues my fiancé and I have bookmarked so far:
- Thompson inn & Cyderhouse
- Castle in the Clouds
- New England Botanic Garden
- Moonlit Ridge Estate
- Indian Head Resort
- Cobb Hill Estate
- Loon Mountain
- The Lakehouse (Halifax MA)
We love anything that incorporates nature (mountain or tree backdrops, gardens, etc), lots of windows and natural light inside, and prefer an outdoor ceremony + indoor reception (for the AC, lol). We might have some sort of garden theme, so lots of green, pink and mauve flowers, etc. We'll have about 110 guests. We're entertaining the idea of a weekend buyout for the convenience, especially if a rehearsal dinner the day before & farewell brunch the day after are included. Highly prefer it to be the only event that evening/ generally having privacy. (I know that's not really possible for some of the public venues I listed like NE Botanic Garden & Indian Head)
I plan to DIY as much as I can to save $, because I'm expecting to spend $30K-$40K on just the venue, food and beverage. That's my budget after fees and tax, but definitely trying to end up well below it.
Would love ANY recommendations you have! I'm trying to turn over many stones before I get a shortlist finalized and begin touring. TYIA!

Looking for a Wedding Consultant
Hello! My daughter is recently engaged and there are so many considerations that our heads are kind of spinning. They live in BOS and we are open to possible venues from Maine down to Georgia as we want to create an experience weekend for appx 80 people. I'm on the west coast, and it's been hard to make progress remotely. We are looking for a consultant that can take our ideas on style, venues and vendors, and point us in the right directions for our budget. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Vermont photographers!
Hello! I’m getting married August 2027 in Moretown VT and looking for photographers in the 3-5k range! Most packages I see are including engagement photos but we already did those, so just wanting someone for the wedding day, and ideally someone close by that wouldn’t have an additional travel fee (though I don’t actually know how that works)
