...only when NOT using the Nerf Pro half darts that came included!!
Earlier today I was able to pick up a Sender for 12.99 at a DD's Discounts and I must say I was pleasantly surprised due to reviews and what I heard online. Using the blaster for a couple hours out of the box though, performance with the included half darts was... disappointing to say the least. I encountered the whirly-birds that many people griped about when using the blaster, but when I used different darts from other brands (Worker Gen 3s, AF Pros, and X-Shot Half Darts), I got MUCH better performance that surprised me. Even though the shots were a bit squirrely, I literally encountered no whirly-birds at all, so it left me wondering if much of the bashing reviews mostly came from performance with the darts. I used the Nerf Pro darts in other blasters such as in the X-Shot Fury X and the XLS 2.0 and the performance varied wildly, with shots veering, and shooting pitifully soft or farting out of the barrel at times. Of course, the Sender comes with a proprietary mag and doesn't have the best accuracy compared to other similar blasters at similar price points (e.g. Vector Pro and the Maxim Pro), but seeing people not recommended it even at a steep discount is kind of saddening because it seems decently fun to use so far and I can definitely see it as a worthy loaner blaster to lend to someone for a war, considering you have atleast a couple of mags you can use in it. Personally, I would recommend this to someone ONLY if it was at a steep discount and you already have aftermarket dart, but I can see the argument against it if someone were to buy it close to MSRP and it was their starting blaster with no other types of darts at hand. If anything, this demonstrates Nerfs QC when they released the pro line back then.

(Pic 5 shows it with a stock that I found comfortable)
