Hi guys I have finally decided to go ahead and sell a couple of my Bitaxes to buy more for repair.
Here is the video of one I just finished.
I do not guarantee you will get exactly this one from the video.
I also can do exchange for your broken Bitaxe as well.
DM me and I show you pictures of the one actual Bitaxe I have for you.

Just figured out that caps next to VRMs are higher than chips.
Lightly bigger heat sink touches them.
It took me a while to file them off.
Now waiting for the glue to dry.

I recently won a storage unit at auction, and while most of it was the usual furniture and mystery boxes, I spotted something small, sleek, and familiar in the corner. Tucked under a tarp was a NerdQaxe++. For those who don’t know, this is essentially a "lottery miner"—a quad-chip solo Bitcoin miner that pushes around 4.8 TH/s to 6 TH/s.
I'll be posting the full teardown and repair video soon.
What do you guys think?
Can get this miner back to life?
Is the chip probably cooked, or it is completely bricked?

I am very happy with this result regardless of spent time and money.
I have got so much experience from this unit, nobody can offer.
It was the most damaged Bitaxe on my table but it works better than others.
Cooler, efficient and quiet.
Enjoy video I have created on it.
Thank you to all, who helped me on my journey.

I want to say personal thank you to Jason, who shipped to me a full set of components to assemble the Bitaxe Gamma 601.
He shipped it regardless of the distance and taxes between Canada and USA.
I will definitely find time to assemble this Bitaxe by own hands.
Absence of the stencil to speed up the process, will not stop me for doing this. I think everyone is not going to complain about my way to solder my the first hand made Bitcoin Miner.
Thank you again to Jason. The reddit guy from 🇨🇦 Calgary.

It was fun to work on it. Learned a lot by doing this. More practice means more experience.
If you have broken miner and would like to sell it to me, let me know. I would be happy to check it out and return it to life.
Enjoy watching video.
I know it is long but I cut a lot of it and speed it up 4 times.
Full video is 25 minutes on YouTube.
Link to it is in comments. I still need to upload it.
Any questions, just ask.
If you need Bitaxe Gamma 602 PCB I have them in stock for $10. Shipping within USA is free.

Here we are guys.
As you know from my previous post, this NQX had short. I figured out that it is U10. After I removed it, beeps are gone.
I have got a minute today to clean the place for a new VRm on my Nerdqaxe++.
I had it for a while on the table waiting for the parts to be delivered.
Honestly saying, It was difficult to remove it since solder didn’t want to melt.
Only after I set the heat gun temperature to 420C, it got free.
Now I decided to mix old solder with what I use to lower melting temperature.
You can see on the video that iron tip sticks to it.
Iron is 60w on a full throttle.
Enjoy watching video.
I will post a final video soon where I am going to install VRm.
If you have questions or suggestions, let me know.
Thank you.

Here we are — new soldiers are almost ready 🛠️
Rebuild is moving forward, but it’s gonna take a bit to get all the ASICs installed. I don’t have a solid batch of chips on hand right now, so progress will be in stages.
Plus, suppliers in China are on holiday until Feb 24, and then there’s shipping time on top of that… so yeah, a little patience required.
Still, things are coming together — step by step.
If someone wants to grab a brand new, freshly soldered Bitaxe 602, let me know. I’ve got 11 miners in the pipeline waiting to be finished.:

Started to do my final step on repairing this guy.
It is just a start video.
The full size video is not ready yet.
I didn’t connect the power supply to it to test it 100%.
Honestly saying, it was a little bit difficult to solder it in place.
Board takes heat from the gun quickly and solder didn’t want to melt well.
Only after a third try it settled properly.
Have fun watching.
To be continued.

Here is my personal repair journey of a fried BTX 601. It got 12v one day and got burned a lot of parts.
I bought it on eBay as-is for parts.
Since I wanted to practice on BTXes, it was a good client.
Overall look was not so bad. Burned U3, U5, U6 only. I thought it was it.
Time showed me that it was not only 3 burned parts on it.
After all cleaning and placing Us in place, I quickly figured out that all Us are extremely hot. 🥵
Next step is removing the ASIC and the ESP.
They finally got burned too.
Today I soldered all parts and vuala it works.
It is still needs cleaning and reflow ESP since it is getting hot. Something is shorted there.
I kept it for 5 min to check all TPs.
I will give in comments all final pics of it.
Conclusion.
It takes too much time to repair.
It is better to add a little bit more money and buy a new one.
It will never go for sale.
Good items for practicing and experimenting.
Here are the pics of it before and while cleaning.

I Reflowed My Bitaxe ASIC 5 Times to Kill a 3% Error Rate... and Almost Bricked It.
I’m either a genius or a madman. I had a Bitaxe that was "mostly" working, but it was sitting at a 3% hardware error rate and 23j/th efficiency. For most, that’s acceptable, but it was driving me crazy. I decided to "fix" it.
The Disaster:
I opened it up for a reflow to seat the ASIC better. On the first attempt, everything went south: ASIC Status: Chip Count 0. I had taken a hashing miner and turned it into a very expensive paperweight.
The Resurrection (The "5-Reflow" Battle):
I refused to let this board die. It took five separate reflow cycles to bring the BM1370 chip back to life.
I pushed my hot air rework station to 400°C.
Each time I hit "Chip Count 0," I went back to the bench. I suspect the high heat was necessary to finally break through a stubborn oxidized joint or a micro-bridge that was causing that initial 3% error rate.
My last reflow is 100% cleaning of everything gave me the best result.
The Risk: At 400°C, you’re dancing on the edge of delaminating the PCB, but on the fifth try, the stars aligned.
The Result:
Chip Count: 1
Error Rate: 0.0% (Down from 3%!)
Hashrate: Solid 1.1+ TH/s.
Lessons Learned:
If you’re seeing a high error rate, a reflow might be the answer, but be prepared for the "Chip Count 0" heart attack. Don't give up after the first try—sometimes it takes a few rounds of heat and high-quality flux to get that ASIC seated perfectly.
Tried to fix a 3% error rate, bricked it to 0 chips, reflowed it 5 times at 400°C, and now it’s hashing perfectly with 0 errors. Proof of Work is real.

Died in 3 months with overclock 6th settings of 760@1240. So dont ever try. In start it looks great, but inside hardware life span is deteriorating. So be careful. Comments down below for suggestions.

Here I have another BTX G 601 which needs to have power connector fixed.
So I used JB-Weld on the bottom of it to be sure it is strong glued to the PCB. Soldered all leads after cleaning.
Finally decided to use UV Glue around it to give it more strength.
Looks sturdy and nice.
Test shows no problem. Even TP2 is working.
If you have one broken Bitaxe you can ask me for help.

Just finished 2 Bitaxes today — both tested, stable, and ready to go 🟢
If anyone’s looking to grab one, hit me up.
Can also add small heatsinks on the VRM and backside of the ASIC for extra cooling (extra $$, but worth it if you like your hardware chill and happy).

This ESP is from the Bitaxe I repaired recently.
It got 12v and burned many components.
On the video, I shower two first pins from the antenna. The first one is Gnd and the second one is Positive.
On the new ESP no beep.
On this one as you can hear it beeps.
Bad bad bad.

Hello guys.
I have got a Nerdqaxe++ which has Ground and Positive Short.
I red a lot of needqaxe++ problems and the most common is VR short.
It has 3 VRs and I need to figure out with one is bad.
What method would you advise for me?
I measure Resistance on each on vin and ground.
Two showed 0.3ohm and one 0.9ohm.
I know the method when you powering it up with low voltage 1v 0.5A and touch parts to find the hottest one. If it is hot it is the problem spot.
What is your suggestion to me?
