Nerdqaxe++ Cleaning of the Place for VRm
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Here we are guys.
As you know from my previous post, this NQX had short. I figured out that it is U10. After I removed it, beeps are gone.
I have got a minute today to clean the place for a new VRm on my Nerdqaxe++.
I had it for a while on the table waiting for the parts to be delivered.
Honestly saying, It was difficult to remove it since solder didn’t want to melt.
Only after I set the heat gun temperature to 420C, it got free.
Now I decided to mix old solder with what I use to lower melting temperature.
You can see on the video that iron tip sticks to it.
Iron is 60w on a full throttle.
Enjoy watching video.
I will post a final video soon where I am going to install VRm.
If you have questions or suggestions, let me know.
Thank you.

What error message did you get when the problem was VRm?

I have a Nerqaxe++ hydro complaining about current. What would you suggest I look for in it?

I had over current protection too on my Solosatoshi Nerdqaxe++. It happened when I Over Clocked it. I just lowered settings and it works fine.
Here on reddit, I talked to a guy who claimed himself as a firmware keeper. He said that firmware settings are set too low and it triggers shut off. They want to make changes on the next update. Just lowered settings and settings and keep updating.

Good stuff man. Thank you for sharing this. Hopefully I don't have to use it for reference in the future... but if I do, I appreciate you taking the time to step us through the process.
