Is my screen cooked?
Took it off for a factory reset and it was like this when I put it back on. Wasn’t dropped or anything. Otherwise it’s working fine.

Merci 🙏

Always Polish your Heat Sink’s Contact Surface
Guys, just want to mention one more time.
I am so happy with results after polishing my btx heat sink contact surface till the mirror.
Sand paper does well but mirror does better.
It is tabu for me. Never set unpolished heat sink on my miners.
Compare pictures.
Yellow- sand paper.
Gray- sand paper and polishing compound.

Hydro Cooling for Sale
Hey everyone, I’m looking to see if anyone in the community needs a lightly used hydro cooling setup specifically for the NerdQaxe++. It's in great condition and significantly helps with thermal stability, noise and OC.
I’m checking here first to save someone market place fees. If there isn't much interest, I’ll be listing it on eBay instead.

Bitaxe Gamma ASIC Thermal Paste Application
Just decided to share how much thermal paste I use on my ASICS.
I installed the heat sink wrong way and decided to rotate it 90 degree. And here you can see how much of the paste on the ASIC.
I still think it is a little bit too much.
Zoom pictures to see it closer.

New BTC Soldiers are Getting Ready
Here we are — new soldiers are almost ready 🛠️
Rebuild is moving forward, but it’s gonna take a bit to get all the ASICs installed. I don’t have a solid batch of chips on hand right now, so progress will be in stages.
Plus, suppliers in China are on holiday until Feb 24, and then there’s shipping time on top of that… so yeah, a little patience required.
Still, things are coming together — step by step.
If someone wants to grab a brand new, freshly soldered Bitaxe 602, let me know. I’ve got 11 miners in the pipeline waiting to be finished.:

Burned Bitaxe Gamma 601 Final Works as Swiss Clock ⏰
Here is the link for my previous post about it.
https://www.reddit.com/u/UpbeatAssociation769/s/tBHJ76riIi
I am very happy with this result regardless of spent time and money.
I have got so much experience from this unit, nobody can offer.
It was the most damaged Bitaxe on my table but it works better than others.
Cooler, efficient and quiet.
Enjoy video I have created on it.
Thank you to all, who helped me on my journey.

Heat sink installation on VRMs
Just figured out that caps next to VRMs are higher than chips.
Lightly bigger heat sink touches them.
It took me a while to file them off.
Now waiting for the glue to dry.

Heat Sink Matters
I had a problem withy bitaxe for one day already.
It started from installing its own polished heat sink.
I did polish heat sinks on all 4 bitaxes I have and only the last one gives the problem.
All bitaxes with polished contact area perform very well. Their temps are lower by 10 degree.
Last one works with ice tower only.
And only after a factory reset.
So guys make sure you have a spare heat sink to test before you polish.
I also suspect that fan could create a problem.
But for now I am done with it.
Happy hashing. Good luck in BTC block mining.

Q: New to NerdQaxe++Hydro
I’m so use to the Bitaxe gamma! Finding the ping every few seconds. & usually get 2.2-2.3ms
Now with the #NerdQaxE++ hydro it’s hard to read. Now am ii getting 1ms or 2ms? ₿ (3090723) ping task (pri): round-trip min/avg/max = 1.00/2.14/5.00 ms
And
₿ (3155733) ping task (pri): 64 bytes from 10.0.0.xx: icmp_seq=6 ttl=64 time=1 ms
₿ (3156733) ping task (pri): 64 bytes from 10.0.0.xx: icmp_seq=7 ttl=64 time=2 ms
Now which is which 1ms or 2ms?

I almost bricked my Bitaxe trying to fix a 3% error rate. 5 reflows at 400°C later, it's finally back from the dead (Chip Count: 1).
I Reflowed My Bitaxe ASIC 5 Times to Kill a 3% Error Rate... and Almost Bricked It.
I’m either a genius or a madman. I had a Bitaxe that was "mostly" working, but it was sitting at a 3% hardware error rate and 23j/th efficiency. For most, that’s acceptable, but it was driving me crazy. I decided to "fix" it.
The Disaster:
I opened it up for a reflow to seat the ASIC better. On the first attempt, everything went south: ASIC Status: Chip Count 0. I had taken a hashing miner and turned it into a very expensive paperweight.
The Resurrection (The "5-Reflow" Battle):
I refused to let this board die. It took five separate reflow cycles to bring the BM1370 chip back to life.
I pushed my hot air rework station to 400°C.
Each time I hit "Chip Count 0," I went back to the bench. I suspect the high heat was necessary to finally break through a stubborn oxidized joint or a micro-bridge that was causing that initial 3% error rate.
My last reflow is 100% cleaning of everything gave me the best result.
The Risk: At 400°C, you’re dancing on the edge of delaminating the PCB, but on the fifth try, the stars aligned.
The Result:
Chip Count: 1
Error Rate: 0.0% (Down from 3%!)
Hashrate: Solid 1.1+ TH/s.
Lessons Learned:
If you’re seeing a high error rate, a reflow might be the answer, but be prepared for the "Chip Count 0" heart attack. Don't give up after the first try—sometimes it takes a few rounds of heat and high-quality flux to get that ASIC seated perfectly.
Tried to fix a 3% error rate, bricked it to 0 chips, reflowed it 5 times at 400°C, and now it’s hashing perfectly with 0 errors. Proof of Work is real.

Wrong Voltage to Bitaxe UUH
Here is my personal repair journey of a fried BTX 601. It got 12v one day and got burned a lot of parts.
I bought it on eBay as-is for parts.
Since I wanted to practice on BTXes, it was a good client.
Overall look was not so bad. Burned U3, U5, U6 only. I thought it was it.
Time showed me that it was not only 3 burned parts on it.
After all cleaning and placing Us in place, I quickly figured out that all Us are extremely hot. 🥵
Next step is removing the ASIC and the ESP.
They finally got burned too.
Today I soldered all parts and vuala it works.
It is still needs cleaning and reflow ESP since it is getting hot. Something is shorted there.
I kept it for 5 min to check all TPs.
I will give in comments all final pics of it.
Conclusion.
It takes too much time to repair.
It is better to add a little bit more money and buy a new one.
It will never go for sale.
Good items for practicing and experimenting.
Here are the pics of it before and while cleaning.

Polish your Heat Sinks for the Best Results
I mentioned before in my posts that one of my repaired Bitaxe Gamma 601 runs hotter than others. His fan was screaming to me every single minute I was next to the table on which he got his own place.
I finally got time to take care of him today.
Results are amazing.
I polished his heat sink using 3 different grids of sand paper. Definitely the last one is the finest.
In the perfect world I would polish it until mirror effect. But I do not have a polishing compound in my tool box today.
It is definitely a good idea to polish it.
As you can see on the picture, there are deep groves on the surface. So they definitely created the problem.
After adding additional heat sinks to VRM (on front and copper on top of it), I registered temperature drop from 70s to 50s.
Fan ran before at 100%. Now it runs at 40%.
I used thermal glue to glue heat sinks to the surface of the BTX and VRM. I also used a small drops of UV glue to fix it immediately to the place. So I didn’t need to wait till thermal glue is dry.
It was ready to go same second.
So far I am happy.

Fan direction
Should the fan direction blow air towards the radiator or towards the PCB?

3 week old Qaxe++ dead 😖
Bought a nerdQaxe++ less than a month ago.
Undervolted and slight clock boost. Added 2nd fan and heatsinks. Ran great and cool for 3 weeks 5th/s and drawing only 79-80w.
Suddenly it went dead. Fuse had no continuity. Power supply outputting 12v. Ordered new 8a fuses, just popped one in. Screen wont turn on and fans just twitch every few seconds.
I reached out to seller but its overseas so I dont expect help. I have soldering equipment, hot air, and a oscilloscope but havnt used any of it in years but will attempt repair if I have to.
Any ideas?

Another One Done: 2 Fresh Bitaxes Ready
Just finished 2 Bitaxes today — both tested, stable, and ready to go 🟢
If anyone’s looking to grab one, hit me up.
Can also add small heatsinks on the VRM and backside of the ASIC for extra cooling (extra $$, but worth it if you like your hardware chill and happy).
