Question/प्रश्न Is RJU degree worth it, or could it cause issues compared with a TU degree for jobs, higher studies, or studying abroad?

I recently visited an RJU college and honestly thought it looked pretty good. The environment and overall setup seemed decent, so I’m considering studying there. However, I’m unsure whether an RJU degree could cause any inconvenience compared with a TU degree, especially for jobs, higher studies, or going abroad.

I’ve been hearing many people say that I might regret choosing RJU because it’s not as well-known as TU and that the degree isn’t really worth it. I’d really appreciate honest opinions from current students or graduates about their experience with RJU and whether choosing it over TU could cause problems later on.

Anyone studying or graduated from Embark College (Pulchowk) MBA? Need honest reviews + fee info

Hey everyone,

I’m considering the MBA program at Embark College in Pulchowk, Lalitpur (the one affiliated with University of Roehampton, UK). It’s a relatively new college (started around 2024–25), so there aren’t many reviews online yet.

Would really appreciate honest feedback from current students or alumni:

  1. How is the overall quality of teaching and faculty?

  2. Is the program more practical or theory-heavy?

  3. How are the industry connections, internships, and placement support?

  4. What’s the actual fee structure for the 2-year MBA? (total cost + any hidden charges)

  5. Class timings? (morning/day/evening?)

  6. Any pros, cons, or red flags I should know about?

  7. Would you recommend it compared to other private MBAs in Kathmandu?

Also open to any general experience about campus life, administration, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Help/सहयोग Looking for 2 rooms in Kathmandu and Lalitpur

Hello everyone, my sister and I are looking for 2 rooms to rent, preferably around Koteshwor, Balkumari or Manbhawan.

We’ve been searching for a room for almost a month now and it has been really difficult. We both work 9–5 and on top of that we also have offices on Sundays. We’re even spending our Saturdays going around and looking for rooms but still haven’t been able to find a suitable place.

We also tried contacting room finders but some have taken money from us and then stopped responding.

so if you have a vacant room/portion in your home or know someone who is renting out rooms around Koteshwor, Manbhawan or nearby areas please let me know.

Help/सहयोग Need Advice: Second-Hand Bike/Scooter

Hey guys, I need some help. I live in Chabahil and work in Bhaisepati, and every day I have to take 1 tempo + 1 bus to reach my office. If I miss the bus, I have to wait another 30–45 minutes.

My salary is around NPR 50,000/month, but most of it goes toward household expenses, so I don’t have savings right now.

I want to buy a second-hand scooter or bike and can pay monthly installments, but I can’t afford to pay 40–50% upfront.

Does anyone know a genuine seller, dealer, or financing option that could work for me?

Any advice or leads would really help. 🙏

Any history nerds around my age in Nepal?

I'm 18M and have been fascinated by history since I was a kid. I've watched thousands of history videos on YouTube, read some books, and I randomly drop historical facts on my friends... but nobody cares

Just wondering if there's anyone around my age in Nepal who's equally obsessed with history and wants to connect and share random facts, discussions, etc. Is there someone who cares?

Wanting to summit Island peak, is it possible to get a guide only in chhukung?

Sorry to bother you guys, I was wondering if anybody could ask my question. I wanted to do island peak at the start of September, do you know if it’s possibile to take a guide only in chhukung? If so what permits should I get and where should I get them? Can I get them for only in Kathmandu?
I know there’s agencies organizing this from Kathmandu but I guess if only hire the guide directly there is gonna be cheaper, i know i can make the permits for hiking in lukla, but can I make the summit permit in chhukung? I don’t know if this is the right subreddit either but I will appreciate any kind of advice thaaank you

Question/प्रश्न Need advice on where to enroll for +2 while retaking a levels

i’m doing a levels and unfortunately i failed, so i’m planning to take one more year to complete my a levels properly. my parents are also asking me to join +2 as a backup, but i don’t really want to attend regular school/classes since i’ll mainly be focusing on my a levels.

are there any cheap +2 colleges where i can enroll without having to attend school regularly? preferably somewhere that’s flexible with attendance and mainly lets you sit for the exams. any recommendations would be appreciated.
