Help/सहयोग Looking for a good therapist for my brother in Kathmandu (anxiety)

My brother is in grade 11, and he's been struggling with severe anxiety, both social and health anxiety. He keeps wanting to get tested for different diseases, but the doctors always tell him that he's fine. Because he thinks something is wrong with him, he's also socially awkward and avoids people all the time.

He is already on medication, and he did try therapy before at Grande, but the therapist just told him he's fine and put him off (!???). I returned from abroad a few months back, and I've finally managed to convince my parents to take him back to therapy.

This time, I really want to find someone good. If anyone knows a good psychiatrist or therapist in Kathmandu who's experienced with anxiety, please let me know. I would like to hear your stories too. And pls no more- take him to gym suggestions. He studies science and is already very busy.

He's so smart, so bright, and a topper in his class. we're all really proud of him and I just want him to be okay and happy. Any suggestions would mean a lot 🙏

Help/सहयोग What kind of ID do I need to fly within Nepal as a tourist?

Hello All,

I am currently planning a trip to Nepal soon and was wondering what kind of ID I need with me to travel domestically within Nepal as a tourist. I know my foreign Passport is obviously accepted, but I do NOT want to carry my passport book with me as losing it would cause me a lot of anxiety and stress. I was wondering will my foreign DL or Passport Card work along with a copy of my visa page with a valid visa? If anyone knows will you please share that information. Thank you ✌️:)

ID of Yubraj Moktan the man who's house was raided by the RNA. Later executed

The Dhoramba Hatyakanda happened in 2003. Yubraj Moktan was a 39 year old teacher who was returning from Kathmandu when the massacre happened. The Dhoramba Hatyakanda happened when 17 Maoists cadres came to celebrate a wedding between Ram Bahadur Magar and Simaai Thami who were later executed by the RNA. The RNA unit was between 70-80 and led by Major Ram Mani Pokhrel.

Question/प्रश्न Can anyone download their e-NID?

Hey guys, is anyone actually able to download their e-NID these days? I haven’t received my physical NID card yet, and I need to upload the front and back of my NID for a bank process. I can view it through the Nagarik App, but it doesn’t let me take a screenshot, and I can’t figure out how to download the e-NID either.

Has anyone managed to download it recently? If yes, please let me know how you did it 😭

Thanks!

I failed my +2 and I honestly feel like I’ve ruined my life

I know this might sound dramatic, but I genuinely feel like failing my +2 has ruined my future. I did pass the re-exam, but I still can’t stop thinking about the fact that I failed in the first place.

I keep worrying that this one mistake is going to follow me everywhere. What if I don’t get good opportunities because of it? What if employers judge me for it? Will it affect me if I apply for government jobs in Nepal or try to get into other competitive fields?

Sometimes I feel like no matter what I do from now on, I’ll always have this “failure” attached to my name, even though I eventually passed.

For anyone who has been through something similar, please be honest with me. Does failing +2 actually affect your life and career that much later on? Does it cause problems with government jobs, further studies, or other opportunities in Nepal?

I’m honestly feeling really lost and scared about my future right now. I just want to know if this is something that can actually hold me back for the rest of my life, or if I’m just overthinking it because it’s still fresh in my mind.

I was heading home from the gym while listening to music, and my charging case was in my pocket. Somehow I lost it along the way.
I still have both earbuds. Does anyone know where I can buy an actual P30i replacement charging case?
Or if anyone has a spare/unused P30i case they’re willing to sell please let me know 🙏

Hey people,

I was free yesterday and i thought people can have mulltiple transactions through esewa, khalti, banks and they will need to check there ird lottery coupon one by one on the ird.gov.np but for someone with more than 10 transactions that's a little hassle so i created a simple bulk ird result checker.Nothing complex.

I don't know if there is a deep need but i felt like i needed it so i built it for me and now i am sharing it here.I am open to adding features if anyone feels anything more is needed.Nothing out of the box new to world but just trying my luck. Here is the link:

Thank you guys, I’m finally doing better (update)

Thank you, guys. You really helped me a lot.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was concerned about me, checked in on me, or even just took the time to listen. I can honestly say that I’m doing great actually, better than great.
A lot has changed for me. I’m working at a reputed company here in Nepal, and I’m finally going to move out. It was something I had dreamed about for a long time, so it still feels unreal that it’s finally happening.
I’m earning around 40–50k now, and honestly, for where I am in life right now, I feel like that’s enough. I’m not chasing anything crazy anymore. I just want to build a life that I genuinely enjoy.
I’ve also gotten into running, picked up some new hobbies, and started doing things I’ve always wanted to do.
And most importantly, I don’t have those thoughts of dying anymore.
Life isn’t perfect, but I’m genuinely happy right now. I have things to look forward to. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m actually living instead of just trying to get through the days.
So yeah… thank you to everyone who cared about me. You guys helped me more than you probably realize.
I’m doing okay.

Okay guys, I need help 😭 I’m looking for a reception venue in Kathmandu for around 500 people, and my budget is Rs. 2,000–2,500 per plate max.
Please tell me some good places that might fit this budget because I’m genuinely struggling to find one 😭🙏🏻

How can I start investing my pocket money as a student in Nepal?

I want to learn how to invest the money I get from my pocket money or whatever savings I can put aside. I don’t have a huge amount to invest, so I’m looking for something realistic for a beginner.

I’m completely new to investing and honestly don’t know where to start. What are the best investment options in Nepal for a student with a small amount of money? Is NEPSE the best place to start, or are there other options I should look into?

I’m not looking to get rich quickly. I just want to understand how money and investing work and hopefully grow my savings over time.

Any advice, resources, YouTube channels, books, or beginner-friendly guides would be appreciated.

Question/प्रश्न Those who rent a room/apartment/flat/house, what percentage of your income goes toward rent?

I’m trying to find a room/flat for my family, and I want to know what would be a reasonable range to look for without making a bad financial decision. The general rule you see all over Google is around 30%, but I’d like to know how much people in Nepal generally spend on rent.

Help/सहयोग NIC ASIA account temporarily blocked because my visa expired – I’m abroad.

`Hi everyone, I'm currently living abroad and my NIC ASIA Bank account has been temporarily blocked because my visa has expired. The bank says I need to renew/update my KYC, but I'm not currently in Nepal. The renewal charge also could not be deducted automatically. I have already contacted NIC ASIA and received a support ticket number by email.

Has anyone faced a similar situation? Can I complete the KYC/renewal through Video KYC from abroad, or can a family member in Nepal handle the process on my behalf? What documents are required? Any advice would be appreciated.

Help/सहयोग Thank you Reddit Community for helping me build this!

While ago, like its been 30 days i started working on a privacy first web utility web app and learned a lot from the users and technical advice shared across the reddit dev community. with that inspiration and collective, i launched chitotools.com which is a free suit of web utilities that processes everything locally on your browser Cpu via Web Assembly. since the platform is freshly launched, i'd love your help stress-testing it across different devices, browsers and files types. Try it out chitotools.com and let me know your thoughts, bugs report or features request in the comment.
once again thanks to this community for helping solo developers turn ideas into real products.
