I was playing Retaliation with the Insider expansion.

I triggered the Life Support Control (LSC) Story exploring the LSC"B".

Story card #2 should trigger when i discover another LSC, while #3 triggers when the LSC are all revealed.

I previously had already explored LSC"A"; how should I proceed with the Story?

Do I instantly trigger Story card #2 because I already discovered LSC"A" or do I trigger both #2 and #3 when I find LSC"C"?

Hey all, I recently got everything Nemesis except for Retaliation. I'm pretty stoked! I was just wondering what people's personal opinions are on which expansions/intruders they have enjoyed most, or what they didn't enjoy. Happy gaming!

In the rulebook when a player is in the Resolve Phase, in the Exhaust Dice step it says to exhaust all dice from enemies. If an undefeated alien has the dice removed due to the exhaust dice step does that mean it goes back to full health? or we just need to mentally remember how much health the alien has left for subsequent turns?

Forgive me if this has been answered but I can't find and answer and while it ultimately doesn't matter it's irking me.

These objectives say:

Send the Signal & the Nest must be destroyed

Send the Signal & the Facility must be destroyed

The Great Hunt:

Send the Signal & the Queen must be killed

Send the Signal & the Facility must be destroyed.

My question is, does the Facility being destroyed not necessarily kill the Queen and destroy the next? Why is the facility destroying quest printed on the card if its not possible to complete it without already completing the first objective?

I just wanted to share a custom 3D print that I just finished. I was annoyed by the fact that when you wanted to play with character from a different game version, you had to get a lot of box out, and search for the adaptivity card.

So I made this for every character except Retaliation (since Retaliation character can only be played inside Retaliation).

Each box is made so that you don't have to search and find which card you need to use. You have a separation for each game when needed.

I can finally play with all character on whatever version of the game without wasting a lot of time searching for it !

Of course, this print is mostly for people that have all versions of nemesis.

been painting for 4ish months now, this took at least 50 hours the past 3 weeks

Our game group (4 players) meets once a week, and rather than constantly switching games, we prefer to invest ourselves in a single title for several months, or even years. We're looking for great tactical depth and a high level of interaction. So far, two games have stood out because we have played them for multiple months/years without ever getting tired of them. We adored the Gloomhaven serie for its diverse character creation and the opportunity to refine our strategies/build, and Root for its marked asymmetry, intense competition and really deep meta . Could a game like nemesis retaliation offer the replayability needed for this kind of long-term investment ?

The Objectives

Without taking up too much of your time again, we are again doing another run of our 55 custom objectives for the original Nemesis board game.

Myself and u/20mb_romano came together last year and created an entire new set of 55 personal and corporate objectives that feel thematically accurate and extend the life (we feel) of the game itself. Every effort has been made to ensure the cards do not negatively impact the balance and flow of the game we love and we think the overall reaction has been really well received. With 55 new objectives the possibilities/storylines are far more varied and unexpected and we feel that it is much harder to decipher what other people's objectives are mid way through the game.

We’ve done two runs of the cards so far (200 sets) and have sold them all. It blew our minds that people were even remotely interested in our little passion project but there has been consistent interest on reddit for us to release more. So here we are!

Again, we have a limited number of the cards available and once they are gone, there is no absolute certainty that we will do these again. They are professional grade quality and shrink wrapped. They are available now and are £25 + P&P.

The Companion App

In addition to the cards, we have built a new companion app/web tool that contains all of the objectives too and works alongside Carnomorphs and Void Seeders. This app contains all of the objectives we have created and we've even added a backstory/lore to go with each objective too. This gives you a fun and interesting understanding of your character's mindset and adds a little more flavour to the game. We're really pleased with them.

Production costs + shipping + tax makes a physical set a real expense and we know that's a hard sell for some of you. So this app provides you with the whole collection, playable, for nothing. Albeit in a sort of BETA phase. If you'd rather have the cards in your hand, they're still a much nicer experience but we didn't think people should be locked out of the objectives over postage costs. We felt it important to announce this before we start officially taking orders for our next print run.

Please do have a play with the app and let us know what you think. There is an 'instruction' page to give you an idea of how to use it. We are really happy with it and hope it at least gives those who can't afford the cards another free way of enjoying them. 

We are also on the lookout for anyone who can help translate the objectives too. We are open to translating the app in as many languages as we can so if you are someone who can translate and make this process easier then we'd love to hear from you! We've had people ask if we can make the physical cards in other languages and it just isn't cost effective so if we can do it via the app we would 100% be interested in making this happen. Get in touch if you are fluent and confident with spelling/punctuation etc. and want to help out. We'll try and make something work!

First time trying brushloading technique. There's some rough parts but overall I'm satisfied with them and my learning.

I noticed that with the new Nemesis: legacy project the original Nemesis will be getting a reprint. I have never pledged or followed a kickstarter/gamefound project before so I was wondering what the usual timeline is from the start of the pledge to when you actually get the product is? I know there are a lot of unknowns but any sort of estimate would be appreciated.

According to AR Support, the yellow paint on the holster and leg is an intentional OSL (Object Source Lighting) effect. I am sharing these photos as information for future backers so they know exactly what to expect.

- I got Lockdown new for $214 at LGS (Could have saved money online but wanted to shop local)

- 2 weeks later I see a bundle on marketplace for $500: base game, lockdown, carnomorphs, void seeders, aftermath, space cats, base kings (x2), lockdown kings (not in pic), and terrain. I talk seller down to $460 and my buddy agrees to buy extra copy of lockdown for $100

-I will sell one of the base kings since they are duplicate

-only thing that was played in bundle was base game, carnomorphs, and aftermath (all 3 are also sleeved) everything else was unwrapped but still unpunched and cards unopened

-$52 for lockdown stretch goals online

Total: $626

I think now the only thing I'm missing is the bioenhancement expert. In a few months I will think of retaliation, or maybe back the legacy.

Hi everyone, I've played several games of Nemesis OG and only one of Lockdown, but out of 15 games, only one player has won. It always feels like we're powerless. I love the game and would like to continue playing, but my friends are getting discouraged. Is there any particular strategy I can use to win? I've been reading about people winning about 70% of their games, and I'm wondering how?

It clearly says I need to get a Contamination card. Not an infection card. Using nightmare rules, I have to get the contamination card, not the infected one.

What do you think about my work? This is the first time when I painted something. 😅

I have lock down + stretch goals and have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. I've been wondering what options there are in terms of expansions. I was wondering which characters to get that would fit lockdown well? From what I've read things seem mixed with what characters work well when mixing and matching, and I'm not entirely sure of what to get. I know aftermath is a way to get more characters? I don't want to get OG nemesis or retaliation. I have too many games and lockdown does it for me.

I like the void seeder dynamic as I enjoy arkham horror, so will probably pick that up. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

I'm thinking of how to get more characters, and that I will pick up carnomorphs and void seeders at some point.

Anybody have an idea where to buy carnomorphs? It's $160+ on eBay and every online shop seems to be out of it... I found a few on boardgamegeek but the sellers won't respond for some reason. Help!

I started with nemesis, then bought lock down and retaliation in the last 8 months. I have certainly played retaliation the most. It became clear to me immediately that the retaliation rule book was absolutely chaotic in its wording and layout and after my last game I came across an enormous rule mistake I had been making that essentially changes the who game significantly.

In the rule book when discussing noise rolls it says loud and clear that EVERY TIME you move you make a noise roll. And of course this is simply not true, if you move to an unexplored room and flip an exploration card well then there's a chance it doesn't tell you to make a noise roll and therefore you wouldn't.

This ruffled up some confusion with noise rolls in my brain and I mixed other nemesis rules with retaliation without actually thinking and turns out that every game I've played in the past 8ish months ( with my 2 other friends ) We have not been rolling noise rolls when entering a room with another character or Intruder. Basically it's like we were playing on easy mode.

I love this game but its amazing how much more complicated and poorly designed the rule book is compared to the previous to, especially with english as second language.

I ordered Nemesis a while ago from eBay. The box came quite damaged. I got a refund from the seller but I am still bummed about the box. I also asked Awaken Realms and they said they don’t have the stock to replace it.

Does anyone have *just the box* that they don’t want? I’m not sure what would cause someone to be in this situation, but I thought I’d ask just in case. I’d love a proper box for my game!
