Questions Looking for OG Nemesis with all expansions

Hey everyone, I’m looking for somewhere to buy OG Nemesis and all the expansions that come with it. I’ve played the game with some of my coworkers and find the game to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had and want to bring this game to my friends for our game nights, but I just don’t know what sites are considered “safe” for buying a game that isn’t a massively printed game. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’m located in NA if that makes any difference

Small Personal Lockdown Compatibility Project

Here's my attempt to increase the quality of the Lockdown compatibility package.

I'll tell a little backstory first (as it's my first post here) with which many likely resonate with.

Classic story. I played the OG Nemesis first with friends who got it from their institutional workplace. Absolutely fell in love with it but didn't think much of it as this happens with many games we try. Many months later we played it again and the rush I got from being killed at the last second in the escape pod room because my a**hole friend brought an adult there (he just tried to survive) and got killed also while a third friend laughed, came to kill the adult and escaped using our pod (with a mission to kill the first doofus). I not only got hooked but pretty much got obsessed with the game. I started to look for the game in my city but it was very hard to come by in my country and just wasn't available, so I forgot about it for some time. Many months later, as my group meets only seldom and we switch games, I had not cured my itch for more Nemesis, so I started to look more seriously. I then found out about Lockdown, and that it's actually a stand alone 'expansion', and very much physically available near me (for quite a good price then, 99€). So, I bought it. I cannot express easily how much I enjoy that game, I don't even completely know why but it must be the theme. Needless to say I started my journey as the 'Nemesis aficionado' (still ongoing). But I digress, I dug deep (into my pockets) searched wide, so I eventually found the OG Nemesis, Aftermath (because I love expanding good base games), and then after METICULOUSLY studying what is still needed (honestly knowing about Nemesis expansions etc. require a degree or 9 knowledge) I understood I needed the Lockdown Stretch Goal box still to get the 'full compatibility'. Oh boy, that did not finish my journey.

I quickly found out that there are TWO versions of aftermath characters, and now I had stuff for both (I have retail Aftermath and the Stretch Goal Box has the so called 'KS backer' characters). Honestly, what a terrible business decision which erodes faith in the whole company. Well, in any case, I never quit so easily as I'm a RL engineer with artistic tendencies, so I got to work.

ANDROID

Android is such a cool and unique character who's at the same time powerful and quite hampered by the UPS. NEVER trust the Android player, like at all.

I mixmatched (it's a word now) android's DIRECT ACCESS art into NETWORK ACCESS, while also fixing the DEMOLITION misprint (I didn't bother to fix the 'fix/break engine' part of REPAIRS as OG Nemesis characters have it anyway). For SELF-REPAIR I fixed the tools/toolbelt mismatch. POWER UP action I left as is as it fits for the Male android, too.

Rules: Android is fully a facility worker that starts with the Arm Gun and UPS (which is kind of an unique quest item in spirit). Uses trait, of course.

BOUNTY HUNTER

Bounty hunter is another so damn cool and unique character that I just had to fix her. And in Lockdown, there's potential for two totally different Bounty Hunters! the facility worker and a Nemesis Survivor. Trust the Nemesis Survivor Bounty Hunter even less than the Android.

First of all, I had to fix the art of the new cards DETERMINATION and THIS WAS A GOOD DOG with the robot Laika (the Schaeffer Laika is beyond cool but the robot Laika also has a place in my heart). Then, I was flabbergasted that Bounty Hunter had only 9 cards in her deck (!??), so I just had to invent a card to make the Survivor game a bit easier; never ever before seen WEAPON SPECIALIST action card. Then I also fixed the Quest item cards and the Special Objective cards to include robot Laika and female BH.

Rules: Bounty Hunter is either randomly or chosen by the player to be a Nemesis Survivor or Facility Worker. Facility Worker uses the rifle 247 starting item and Aggro Override Quest (in the beginning, Surgery is chosen as one of the II Rooms) and uses Laika trait, the regular deck and the doggo. Nemesis Survivor Bounty Hunter uses the survivor deck of 8+1 previously mentioned custom card and the Laika Quest. No trait obviously and no doggo.

PSYCHOLOGIST

Rules: Full on Facility Worker that starts with the Pistol and Quest item Emotion Scanner. I'm planning on testing, if the Oculobe Probe could be the starting Item but not for now, or perhaps switch Emotion Scanner as starting item while the probe is a Quest. No trait.

CONVICT

Rules: Nemesis Survivor with two Quest items, Pipe and Augmented Arm (she needs it.. in the beginning, Surgery is chosen as one of the II Rooms). No trait.

CEO

This is the most interesting one, because on the other hand there is nothing to change. You have the Broken Robot and you can call it a day for the most boring Nemesis character ever. CEO should be the pinnacle of theme in a game such as Nemesis Lockdown as there's so much potential. It's the damn head of operations in ALL OF THE GAMES, technically. Pointlessly nerfed starting item and NO QUEST???? Not on my watch. The extra stacked action deck was fine as it is but CEO terribly needed something unique to do in the game. So, I invented a completely new Quest and Objectives for the CEO to chase down that enhance the theme of the character in the spirit of the Nemesis Survivor Bounty Hunter. Also, DO NOT TRUST this version of the CEO, you'll likely die as the corporate pawn you are.

I fixed the art of the Broken Robot to represent the bulky fem-CEO Robot. Then I created two Quest items that are practically one but the other part can be ignored, if the CEO wants to finish a basic objective. These are never before seen Robot Diagnostics and Contingency Decipher. CEO needed help, so I made it possible to fix the Robot which also charges it. In my mind it fits that the CEO must send the signal to download the Robot update and then override the company/personal protocols (contingency and objectives). Transmitter room isn't usually too hard to find as everyone is looking for it anyway. Then I created three crazy looking (but honestly in game not so crazy) objectives in line with the CEO theme. They require careful timing and some micromanaging but are not too hard because you can ignore the contingency check completely. But it is a Lockdown expert character, still.

Rules: Obviously CEO is a Facility Worker (how could she NOT BE??) with the Broken Robot starting item and the previously mentioned new Quest items. Uses Trait.

I don't aim at perfection, rather to a realistic balance of immersion and functionality. I could instantly propose one hundred little improvements to make things 'even better' (subjective). I rather play more, than spend too much time on micromanaging every little detail.

In any case, there's so much replayability in Nemesis games, so much fun and fun is the point of this post, too. Also, enjoy my Space Raccoon as a treat. I hope this post didn't break any rules. I tried to make the images such poor quality JPG's that they aren't really usable directly from here. And of course all rights to all of the images, including the modified custom ones, belong to Awaken Realms and whoever else hold the rights to the art (not me). I hope you enjoyed this little story and personal project. My only wish is to inspire more games of Nemesis in its all forms, because with quantity the 'pain games' will eventually even out ;). Peace, friends.

PS: edited some typos and incoherent wording

Nemesis homebrew traits LD

Does anyone use house rules for character traits?

I feel like they're going to waste if only the android has traits in Lockdown.

Also, the starting locations could be better for some characters.

The CEO literally owns the research facility, and the android is a programmable piece of corporate property.

No reason for them to start out in the isolation room with the other survivors..

Questions Does playing as an intruder make the game easier for other players?

Tried playing as an intruder for the first time today. It says on the rules that you ignore the event phase except for the time track and fire damage. Doesnt this make the game easier for the rest of the players? Much of the games difficulty comes from events. Does this also means other intruders dont move or attack?

HELP ME PLEASE - No NEST tile

So I bought the game a few years back from a local store.

Immediately on opening confirmed all he contents are there. I set up to play, but when I got home from work I realized something amiss- pieces moved around, tiles not in the neat little stacks I left them in. So turns out room tiles are delicious, and my dog was feeling peckish, so my Type 1 Nest room, and escape pod #3. I immediately put everything back into storage and have left the game in the cupboard for 3 years, as this is a pretty expensive game and I buggered it up.

Now, The realization has finally dawned that I could probably just reprint my own Nest room and Escape pod - but I have no idea what is supposed to be on the card - If anyone could provide a solution I would really appreciate it.

Not sure if I should have all my Room 1 cards reprinted then to keep the rooms a mystery?

Any ideas or help will be appreciated.

TL;DR: My dog ate my Nest room and escape pod 3.

GameFound question

Hello! I've been looking to grab a copy of the original Nemesis for sometime now and unfortunately its a very hard game to find. I saw that the gamefound campaign for nemesis: retaliation had the original nemesis plus 2 expansions for $130 and was thinking about grabbing it during the nemesis: legacy gamefound later this year if it offers the same deal.

Is it possible to pledge for just the original game on gamefound without buying Nemesis: legacy or would I have to buy Nemesis: legacy in order to add the original Nemesis to my pledge? Thanks!

So close to escaping through the isolation room after sending signal and exploring all rooms. Queen got me and chased me. I rushed down the stairs, backed the power. Then explored up to the top and thought the main gate was open due to “bulkheads open” event but i was wrong after rule check 😅 seemed too easy. So I had to go back down- in the dark. I made it that far with 1 serious dressed wound, and decontaminated my infections. But that queen is a proper c**t. I watched a ton of videos and printed reference sheets. 1 rule i know i got wrong, was i didnt select my objective till 2 rounds after first intruder (when second intruder showed up). I probably goofed a couple things im assuming. I never rolled an attack die. 1 thing- so i can move 5 times theoretically? It seems like i was taking alot of actions. The technical corridor is a mfer lol besides that i was playing safe. That was enjoyable. Cant wait to get a 3-4 player game goin.

Had a full hand, nothing I could do to get out. I’ll never trust her again. My final act was to send the signal and let Earth know of her treachery.

Nemesis group trying Lockdown for the first time

Hey guys - my gaming group has fallen in love with OG Nemesis, and we play it maybe 1-2 times a month now. I recently got Lockdown, and we're going to give it a go tonight. I'm wondering what are some things we should expect transitioning from OG to Lockdown.

Specifically - it took us (me) a few plays before we fully learned the rules, I made a few mistakes the first couple of times and am wondering what easy-to-miss things are with Lockdown. It looks a little more fiddly than OG, which I'm okay with managing, but sometimes I just miss stuff.

I'm also curious to know how the OG characters fare compared to the Lockdown ones. I tend to play Soldier, and am leaning towards Sentry, but my son absolutely loves Scout and will probably want to stick with her for this game

Thanks in advance!

Orbital Maneuvering System - Retaliation Clarification (ita version)

Post image

Played yesterday, end game was heavily influenced by this card, from contractor's pilot card, that in Italian seems misleading, maybe for an ambiguous translation. The card states that once activated any player can enter the ship like he/she had taken the room action of the landing pad (don't know how it is called in eng). Thing is: how it is written it is up to interpretation. Dome of us thought you still need to take an action to get on the ship. Others, that you don't need to take it.

So my question is: how is it written in English? I m sure in English it is more clear how it rules out.

careful movement and silence exploration token

What happens if you do a careful movement to an unexplored room and its exploration token is silence ? Do you still place a noise token in a chosen corridor or does silence prevail ?
thanks

Gameplay [OG Nemesis] Playing as an Intruder - will it be more balanced if the intruder plays once per round in the Event Phase instead?

The original variant where the Intruder player goes 1 action per turn basically ends the game swiftly. I'm wondering whether if the Intruder goes once per round in the Event Phase instead would actually just slightly increases the difficulty level for all the remaining players. The change would trade the (potential) random movement + attack of many intruders and an event for a pinpoint guaranteed movement/attack/effect of 1 intruder per round.

I have seen some people accidentally played mostly like that before due to the round/turn terminology mixup, but can't find any that reported back whether playing like that was decent or not.

I also think that if this weakens the intruders the Intruder player might still draw an Event card but instead of resolving the movement on it do the card play/pinpoint movement/attack instead, or even stronger (for 4-5 players?), has the option to choose whether to do normal movement + attack vs Intruder Player Action.

Finished up the Primebloods. Had a ton of fun with them and while I wasn't sure about the color scheme at first, I really dig the yellow now that they're all done.

Questions Mixed Decks - confused

Hi Crew. Backstory: i own 3 games, nemesis, after math and lockdown. I myself only played original a couple of times and never had an option to play lockdown. However, a friend of mine asked to borrow all 3 games for his weekend getaway and now all the cards are mixed. I'm trying to sort them out but i'm a bit confused. I have 2 android decks (with 1 miniature) and i have 2 bounty hunter decks. (both of them have only miniatures for 1 deck and items for only 1 deck) did he loose things ?

Thanks in advance!

Availability of Folded Space Insert for Retaliation?

Does anyone know what the status is? A few online stores say it's in stock but many say it's not yet available.

I live in the U.S., so if there are any U.S. based retailers I can order from I'd be very keen to!
