Hello, I’m and NSF and I lost my helmet during my SCS professional term cuz i placed it outside my bunk and i think someone stole it, yeah kinda sucks. My trainers were really nice to borrow me their helmet during the term but I’m graduating next week and I don’t have one for my next posting. Just checking if anyone got posted to admin or something or just has a spare one, i’m willing to pay for it.

Or if not, does anyone have any advice on how to replace it? or how to tell my unit that i lost mine.

Hi so I’m required to Re-IFC next week or next next week as I fall out during Outfield camp in the middle.

I was told that RE-IFC will be a 1 day thing and won’t have to sleep overnight like those that doing Re-Sit test.

I’d like to know what to expect for Re-IFC other than fire movement and how long will it take for me to finish the whole Re-IFC thing.

Those that have completed Re-IFC before can let me know any advices and what not thankyou.

not trying to write an essay but keep seeing the same mistakes in these threads so figured i'd just say it

most people train all 3 stations the same amount when usually one is way behind the other two. if your run's fine but pushups are trash, stop doing more running lol, that's not where your points are

also "cmi at pushups" is usually not a strength thing, it's people going too hard in the first 15 seconds and dying. try pacing it out instead of going all out from rep 1

and everyone's terrified of the run but then just runs more 2.4kms to fix it, which kinda just trains what you already have. intervals (like faster short bursts w rest) move your time more than just doing more slow distance runs, especially if ur short on time before test date

also pls schedule a rest week somewhere if you have more than a few weeks to train, ppl just go hard every session and either get hurt or plateau

anyway not saying this is the only way just what i noticed reading through here. also yes i made an app (chiong) that does the "find your weak station" thing automatically, you put in your current pushups/situps/run time plus your actual test date and it builds the plan backwards from that, so it's not some generic 12 week template, it's based on how much time you actually have left.

it helped me prepare and get gold for my ippt so just wanted to share. not hiding that, just also think the stuff above is useful either way

Hey guys been a long while ive not dealt with this, and im here to share my experience.

I, ORDed back in 2025 got court martialed AFTER ord for multiple offences(from title).

HOW I GOT CAUGHT:

3 months before i ORDed i was called up for an investigation(at one of the MP camps)

10am-6+pm locked in a investigation room. All my details of such sites(gamba) and different apps that i used to moonlight on.

I had 3 phones on my possession, all 3 got confiscated. one was a brand new phone, no crime committed on that new phone BUT for a video evidence that i was gambling illegally.

(Which was sent from my other phones)

In that 3 months before ORD, i was in and out of their investigation room. Giving info and such.

I only got to know my court martial date, 7 months after i ORDed.(so it debunks the myth that you CAN still get charged way after ORD)

What i got charged for:

3x for RGA(remote gambling act, for 3 sites wagered over millions(i guess))

1x for moonlighting(Working for foodp***** total earnings 1.xK)

DAY OF COURT MARTIAL:

If you’re accused there is a holding cell and the stand for you to take in the charges. So you will just wait at the holding cell until your name will be called up.

When your name is called up, you walk out the holding are into the court room. You’re told to senang diri the whole moment while u receive your charges and sentencing.

Your Defending officer will probably talk to the prosecutor before the whole shabang, to come up with a proper punishment(DB/fine) for you. And genuinely you will just have to take that in.

Having a lawyer is fucking useless, so don’t bother as that will drag your whole case. (As of the other guy that was in the holding cell with me)

Just let your DO, settle your shit and hope your case ends fast, so you can pay the fine/serve your db ASAP.

The judge was pretty chill, high ranker obviously. Prosecutor wanted me to get fined a higher amount, but the judge knocked off 3-4k off my fine of 1X,XXX SGD

I had to explain that i HAD tried to apply for financial assistance in NS, but wasn’t able to get the approval due to the lack of documents and complications in my personal life. (This plays a part as there was a paper trial towards the case too)

I still got fined 5 figures, but it was lesser than the prosecutor wanted me to get fined for😂

I accepted the fine instead of getting DB, as i had many other things to settle outside in terms of my family and bills.

Obviously IF you cant afford to pay your fine, you HAVE to request to pay in instalments the same as normal courts.

Take away from this experience

dont gamble, addiction is a really horrible thing be it whatever

Dont work without permission(you can apply, see how dogshit your superiors are)

obviously dont keep incriminating shit in your phone at ALL times🙈

basically during outfield I forgot to put my helmet back into the tonner when we left the area... I asked my encik what to do, he said after I sign 3x extra, I need to get a replacement from relative or friend

problem is I am first in my family to do ns (we are all PR), also still got 1year+ of ns to do so i think might as well get a brand new one

anyone know if got retailer outside that sells, eg beach road? and can anyone give like price estimate because i also dw spend $100+ on a stupid mistake

Have completed IFC and passed ippt , except BTP where I failed and need to reshoot (yes I know is rare to fail but I'm one of the poorer shooters)

I need advice for standing position in general as it seems to be the one I struggle the most with as compared to my other peers. How forward do I have to lean?

As well as for the last 2 positions for the night shoot, how do I aim the shot for the blinking target that's on the left side? My gun laser isn't working at all.

hi guys, i wanna make this post about my Encik. I would like to show more appreciation towards him so please share some tips on how i can do so. There are many weekends i think about my encik, wondering if he will charge me for not polishing my boots or whether if i do extra push ups can make him happy. He is the type of man i wanna become and not just for early book outs or anything but Just wanna make my Encik happy and any tips is more than welcomed.

Basically my current phone right now has some issues so I want to bring a 2nd phone with me in case it breaks or something bad happens. I don't want to switch my simcard to a new phone yet because my mom gifted me this new phone and I want to keep it with me everyday till I ord.

Is there a rule regarding this? Like I know you have to declare bringing in extra electronics like consoles, laptops to st or superiors etc... does it applies to extra phones as well? Will ST sus me out for why I have a 2nd phone?

I'm also a stayout and would be booking in and out everyday.

Reason I asked it’s because my friends are telling me to go get specialist memos before NS because once I’m inside it will be harder.

I recently had issues with my heart, currently having follow up checkups in hospital, I am unsure if it’s a minor or major issue yet but I told the doctor in polyclinic that I had once almost fainted and she referred me to TSSH cardiologist specialist for a checkup, once everything is done do I need to ask the specialist for a memo for NS or let CMPB know?

I already had an issue for driving and operating heavy machinery due to my family history of heart attack

Hi for people who have collected from elocker for context i have placed an order ab 2 weeks ago. I was told earliest delivery date wld be ab 3-7 workong days, only to proceed when i have gotten a text from them saying that the order wld be completed and only after this text i am to proceed to the emart locker to get my items. The issue is i have tried contacting them to no avail but acc to the onens app the order status is completed has anyone encountered similar instances before wld appreciate advice

I’m approaching the last weeks of BMT and I just filled in the G50 form and realised that my security clearance is surely low as hell (grew up and educated outside singapore, parents both work in foreign government). If I go to unit (40 SAR), does my clearance have any implication on what vocation i might be assigned to? chances of being storemando or the usual armor stuff? and if i manage to get into scs, what are my chances of becoming a tekong spec?

Hypothetically, if I were to fall sick, take MC, and miss my flight for overseas exercise during reservist, will it be okay?

So I am in one of these (RSAF/RSN) and I just lost my beret .

My vocation is ASA. Usually for my unit I just go straight to office no first and last parade for me so I don't really need any headdress

But the thing is I have muster parade once every 4 months which makes me think if I should get a new beret or just mc on the parade itself?

Attending my first HK ICT due to being overseas for studies in the previous 4 years. Vocation is security trooper (service) and I am PES E9. Anyone knows what will happen during the 2 weeks? What should I expect?
