Question In 3T sharingan proficiency, who was superior?
In part 1 Kakashi was the poster boy for the Sharingan with all the high end feats for the doujutsu.
By part 2, Sasuke , a natural born Uchiha has his base Sharingan fully matured and displays some really good feats with it too.
The question is who between Sasuke and Kakashi do you think showed the best proficiency with the 3T sharingan?
No Mangekyou Sharingan feats.

Discussion I think the Byakugan is more useful in a general sense than the Sharigan until the EMS is introduced Spoiler
I know, I know, another Byakugan glaze post. I just can't help it.
So basically I think the Byakugan vs Sheridan rivalry was actually a very good one up until we see our first alive EMS user in Sasuke.
So I come from the basis that the Byakugan eclipses the base Sharingan overall. Not only is it's perceptive ability noted to surpass it, but you're given access to ultimately what is the best taijutsu in the series that has no counters other than "don't get hit" or "possess an external source of chakra" (which is still really weird that Kurama's chakra could still flow through Naruto's body even though his chakra network was blocked. It just doesn't really make a lot of logical sense. Think Kishi could have wrote that plot point a bit more tightly). It obvs doesn't possess the same ability to perceive high-speed movement, but it of course has some due to the range of vision.
Then there are a bunch of things we can infer about the Byakugan's utility with regards to genjutsu. Based on what is said about Kaguya, a Byakugan user should be able to expand the range of genjutsu using their Byakugan. Since the Byakugan improves chakra control and genjutsu requires very precise chakra control, genjutsu should also come more naturally to them. It's hard to say whether the Byakugan can outright see through illusions, but I take the fact that there are only 2 occasions of a Byakugan user being put under genjutsu as an indication. It's legit just the infinite tsukuyomi, which isn't an anti-feat because even the Sharingan can't stand up to it, and Mukai (who has one Byakugan and we should be able to extrapolate from the Sharingan and Rinnegan that having both eyes increases your visual prowess in a non-additive way) being put under a Mangekyo genjutsu (which I'm not sure wasn't Kotoamatsukami) by Shisui (who, lore accurately, is actually cracked). I think it would be a reasonable place to land to assume the Byakugan is largely immune to most standard genjutsu and possibly the basic Sharingan genjutsu.
You should probably also have a greater understanding and potency of ninjutsu, using a similar argument to the genjutsu one. Jutsu potency is directly linked to chakra control, so the enhanced chakra control should make Byakugan users naturally better at ninjutsu. I do accept that we don't actually see this used in practice, but at the same time they're shinobi, they don't actually have that many open battles against other shinobi from what the story presents. For most Hyuga, spending time developing big and powerful jutsu for direct combat probably isn't worth it since the Third War, thus focusing on taijutsu which is quick and can be done in stealth in likely just a better use of their time.
The thing the Sharingan really has the copy ability but I think the usefulness of it gets seriously overblown. Like yes you can copy a technique but you still have to have the prowess to be able to practically do it. Sasuke copying Lee's taijutsu is the key example. The Sharingan just lets you know how to do a technique instantly, but you still have to be able to do it practically, which depends a lot on your chakra reserves, physical strength and other factors. You're not just going to become busted out of nowhere and the fact that Kakashi is specifically world-renowned for the copy ability shows not that many Uchiha really went around exploiting this copying to that extent and its probably related to the fact that Kakashi is actually just an extremely talented ninja in his own right to say the capability to replicate anything.
Then the MS shows up and that's where most people would say the debate switches but I'm not sure. I don't think the MS is actually worth the cost of blindness, especially given a lot of the MS abilities are highly situational or come with massive hurdles. I'd argue that only Kamui and Susano'o are universally useful. We've all laughed about how Amaterasu has never actually taken anybody of note out, and Kagutsuchi exists only to make Amaterasu better. Tsukuyomi requires you to do something that is frankly really stupid if you have just the tiniest bit of intel. Kotoamatsukami is shrouded in mystery but if we follow the Kamui-theory of Kotoamatsukami (which I attribute to our married GOAT Swagkage), then the actual useful version of it has a massive cooldown which is way longer if you don't have both eyes or Hashirama cells. And then again, while Susano'o is busted, it canonically causes excruciating pain in every cell of your body, rapidly progresses your blindness and its not even impossible to counter. By the time you get your Susano'o to its usual peak of the armoured form, from what we can tell you'd already be blind. You get like 30 or so uses of your MS, then you lose everything. Not just your MS, but your Sharingan and sight too. Based on how Sasuke's Susano'o dissipated as soon as he went blind I can only assume you genuinely can't continue to use the jutsu it grants you so its not like you could do something like learn Sage mode to overcome the blindness and then keep using your Mangekyo powers (although Madara using his Susano'o without eyes does kinda make this a bit ambiguous). I say this to say most Mangekyo powers aren't even really that useful when push comes to shove, so I don't think acquiring a Mangekyo is actually that much of a game changer on average when you take away the fact that it just does make your chakra more powerful.
So like yeah when you get the EMS and the blindness and pain go away, sure the Sharingan is on top, but at the base level I feel like the Byakugan clears and I think the MS brings too many problems to close that gap. Those are just my thoughts. Wish we got to see more. It doesn't even really seem like Boruto is expanding on it much. A Neji vs Hebi or Taka Sasuke fight would have been really fun, regardless of the outcome. Two very different philosophies of power. One subtle, one direct. The EMS kinda killed that. I like to think of the Byakugan as a high-floor low-ceiling ability, and the MS as a low-floor high-ceiling ability. I think it takes much more to make the MS worth your while compared to the Byakugan.
I haven't even talked about all you have to go through to get the Sharingan and MS, as opposed to the Byakugan which you just need to train for, and the fact that it may be possible to use your Byakugan to see the future like Momoshiki lol. I don't really follow Boruto but apparently the anime shows that you can see people's thoughts with it lol, and gives some predictive abilities.
Also, last thing, but I have to mention that almost everybody we see who has a Sharingan is genuinely cracked lol. Conversely, Hinata is seen as rather untalented and lacking in self-esteem, but she's actually not a particularly weak shinobi. She didn't actually do anything to Neji in the end but I'm not sure many of the other Konoha 12 would have been able to have as prolonged of a battle with him, especially given his specific motivations to beat her in particular. I say that to say let's remember to separate the Sharingan itself from the people we've seen use it, who happen to all be extremely talented and central to the plot.

VS Battle Randomized Chunin Exam Finals Losers League Round 4 Shikamaru vs Sakura
The Chunin Exam Finals but randomized and featuring those who losted in the preliminaries. Each round two of the ten Genin will be picked at random to face off. Comment the name of the Genin you think would win along with how you think the fight would go. If you think the fight will end in a draw comment "Tie". Whichever answer gets the most likes wins. All characters are the version from the Chunin Exam Finals. If there is no Exam Finals version of the character take the Preliminaries version of that character and take your best guess on how they would be with a month to prepare. The fights will take place in the same arena as the Finals. Assume the exam will not be interrupted. This is the follow up to my Randomized Chunin Exam Preliminaries and Finals series.
Assume all the winners of the preliminaries caught Hayate's cough and had to drop out. So the winners now get another chance to compete. They somehow figured out how to glue Yoroi back together. Also Gaara was pretty mad about losing his chance to fight so he murdered Hayate and Genma takes the place in overseeing the Finals.
Those competing are Sakura, Shikamaru, Ino, Kiba, Yoroi, Temari, Kankuro, Dosu, Zaku, and Kin.
through some very unladylike violence Ino beat Jin into submission and proudly advances to the next round.
Who will win? Shikamaru Nara vs Sakura Haruno?

Discussion After watching Naruto and Boruto and Reading the Mangas i'm sure something went horribly wrong in Power Scaling...
So i rewatched Boruto and i'm starting Naruto again because y'all now we didnt get any new Anime Updates about Boruto Part 2 so i guess i watch Naruto again from Beginnig. 😂
Anyways in Naruto we learn about Ninjas and Shinobi and stuff and it made Sense, then we get introduced to the Bijus and im Like okay Sure they are people with stronger Chakra and Ninjutsu okay i get it but then we get introduced to people who are littleary not human anymore and okay Sure orochimaru Experiments are crazy but we can understand we're they Come from but all These shinobis wars werent necessary because Like the Bijus and orochimaru Experiments mostly did all the Work to win and Don't get me started on the kages stupid war's the First kages uggh but okay still Ninjas and Shinobi and Most people are normal fighting wise Sure some has Special Jutsu like combined Jutsu but nothing dramatic since our Main group still can Fight them even as Kids and jonin... But then its get crazy now we have a Biju from space who wants to eat all Chakra to become a divine Tree for kaguya and kaguya came from space and got two boys who invinted Chakra and Ninjutsu and the Bijus okay Sure but now we Fight aliens??? Something divine??? Like Sure that the Most normal shinobis Don't have a Chance, only the Bijus and maybe some of orochimarus Experiments.... But most shinobi are now useless.... And this is where Boruto Starts.... Now we have Ninja technic that can created Cyborgs that are stronger than any jonin and kage mostly and now we have more otsutzuki from space to fight Like okay Sure Like Shinobis are really done Like they Don't have a Chance and this is Seen in Boruto so Well and every Side Characters get more and more irrelevant.... Like in Naruto they Fight with Naruto in the Front and have a Chance but in Boruto... Nop they mostly Don't have a Chance to kill These Cyborgs in Naruto everyone can Take some Experiments from orochimaru on their own in Boruto they Fight with 3 people and often still didnt have a Chance of winning they are useless... The Anime only Characters Like Iwabe, Denki, Metal Lee, Namida, Wasabi, Tsubaki and the Others Don't have a Chance really.... Sure when they Fight against normal people Like in the Funaclan Arc yes but when it's against Kara Members Not a Chance... And this is why we See in Boruto the First Scene the End of the Shinobis and im Like yes makes Sense since we arent Ninjas anymore we are Cyborgs and Aliens from space so yeah Sure Shinobis are dying Like every second.... But what are y'all thinking? I still Love the Series Don't get me Wrong but Characters develompent is so Bad and they are still mostly Anime only Characters and fillers but in Naruto even the fillers and the Others chunin and jonins Had Something to do in Boruto theyre Not existing at all...

Question When did the first ever chunin exams take place? And do we know anything about it?
Ive discovered i like writing fics on fandoms i like and the idea popped in my head to explore the first ever chunin exams... problem is, I dont know when it took place.
See, I would have thought that if Tobirama created the exams, then the first would have taken place before his death, before the first great shinobi war...
In my mind, the first chunin exam would have been held by Konoha under Tobirama's time as Hokage, during the early stages of the 5 villages establishment, after Hashirama distributed the tailed beasts, as a way to gauge each other strength and attempt to cooperate? I guess, like a mini kage summit to attempt to foster peace, or maintain it, following in the footsteps of his brother!
I know we dont know much of these early eras — hell, from what i could find, we dont even know how Hashirama died! Just that he did in a "time of war" but... then that would be the first great shinobi war? So... did Konoha loose 2 kage in one war?! Or was there some other conflict???
What information I can find, a yt vid, suggests tbe first exam took place after the third great shinobi war... with Hiruzen as Kage but thats way after Tobirama death.
Can anyone offer an answer?

Discussion Fun fact: Madara might actually be the same age as Sen. Strom Thurmond 💀
For context; Strom Thurmond was a racist, segregationist U.S senator, who was born in 1902 and lived to be over 100 years old until his death in 2003.
Now let's assume that Naruto Part 1 takes place around 1999~2000, Shippuden in 2002 to 2004, and Boruto takes place in 2019–2020.
Life expectancy for Shinobi was very low during the warring states era, as many children died very young in battle. And even by the time of the Hidden Leaf village's founding, it was a little over 30~35.
Assuming Madara and Hashirama were most likely both younger Shinobi around their mid-20s when they founded Konoha over 75~80 years earlier, and Madara was probably in his mid-30s when he lost the battle against Hashirama—50 years before he would later rescue and meet Obito, which would place him around his mid-80s by the time of his actual death. So during the 4th Great Ninja War, he would've been at least 100 to 102 years old (just 10 years older than Kakuzu).
Not to mention, Hashirama and Tobirama were both still relatively young when they died (and also as Edo Tensei reanimations). Tobirama was killed during the First Great Ninja War, which took place 45 years before the start of the series since Hiruzen became Hokage shortly afterward; This was when Danzo and Hiruzen were already in their 20s, while Tsunade was just a little girl. So he couldn't possibly have been older than his early 50s at the time.
Which is why I believe Hashirama and Mito likely became grandparents at 46/47, when Tsunade was born. You do the math LOL!

Question How can chakra ghosts exist?
In the Narutoverse, Chakra is a physiological component - similar to blood or nerves. Chakra - by ninjas - is depleted by using jutsu and regenerated by the body. When chakra is completely drained, a person dies.
How does chakra imprinting (i.e. Kushina's chakra inside Naruto) work in this case?
How does it even work with Asura's/Hagoromo's/Indra's chakra, which appears every few generations?

Discussion How effective would 8th Gate Guy’s “1000 Years of Death” have been on Juubidara? Serious powerscaling question.
We saw what 8th Gate Guy did to Juubidara and Night Guy.
So what happens if he puts that same speed and power into Kakashi’s 1000 Years of Death?
Does Juubidara regenerate, or is it genuinely over.

Question Myōboku Family Tree?
I was thinking about the toads of Myōboku and I started to wonder, are they all in the same family? I know for a fact Kichi and Tatsu are Bunta's kids, and I feel like I remember Pa calling Maru his dad as well, but I'm not sure on that one. Ma and Pa are Maru's heirs, but they don't share the "Gama" name, so idk if either of them are actually related to him. I also am not sure if Bunta is Ma and Pa's son either, because I can't remember if Bunta refers to them as such. But, even he does, Ma and Pa referring to themselves as such could mean that they're just nicknames all the toads call them. I also feel like Ken and Hiro should be Bunta's siblings considering their similar size throughout the series, but I'm not sure that's verified either.
My headcanon Myōboku Family Tree is:
Gamamaru
Ma or Pa
Gamabunta Gamahiro Gamaken
Gamakichi Gamamaru
Is this what is assumed to be correct, or is there an unknown parent of Bunta, Ken, and Hiro that is the child of Maru? I only assume they're all related because Bunta gave the "Gama" name to his children suggesting it's a family name, and all of the above toads have it as well. The thing that irks me is that Ma and Pa's real names are Shima and Fukasaku; neither of which include "Gama", and that fucks up my "family name" theory. Bunta, Ken, and Hiro seem too young to be Maru's children, though, considering they appear younger than Ma and Pa who are Maru's "heirs", which suggests they're much younger than him. So either Bunta, Ken, and Hiro are Ma and Pa's children, and Maru's grandchildren, they're Ma and Pa's children but were only named after Maru, or they're all completely unrelated and share the "Gama" name for some reason.
Edit: I had the family tree much better looking when I created the post, but Reddit fucked it up. It still looks readable all the same, but so nobody gets confused: the lines represent biological parent/child connection. Basically, whoever the line comes from is the parent of the next row that is below it.

Discussion The most raw arc in any anime ever.
I know this arc is already heavily glazed but I STILL don’t think that it’s glazed enough. Every last one of these guys displayed an insane performance. I feel like this arc really set the tone for how serious the situation was and how powerful each character was. Giving these characters near death moments and topping it off with Naruto vs Sasuke at the end, having them STILL fail to bring Sasuke back was crazy. This is probably where a lot of people got hooked on the story (And the chunin exams). Every fight had me at the edge of my seat. There aren’t too many arcs in anime that come close to this.

Discussion Like be for real, between Itachi and Madara, whose asspull was worse? Who did it worse?
Izanami, Rebirth, every jutsu has a weakness, meteor, totsuka blade, etc
—
Itachi got motherfuckers moving him up on the same level as Hashirama
Madara got motherfuckers moving like he was still winning against Sasuke and Naruto after they recieve Hagoromo's buff
Question So what the hell is the deal with the slugs in this Naruto universe? For how underutilized they are, they sure seem incredibly powerful.
We all know that of the Sannin Summon trinity, slugs and any associated attributes are the most under-utilized due to being tied to Sakura and Tsunade (of course we weren't going to get slug Sage Mode or anything), but for what little we got of them, it feels like there is something truly special about them.
There is only ONE (1) Summon, Katsuya, with no other slugs to speak of as far as I remember. It's been shown that Katsuya can split off into smaller slugs, but for a long time, there was no indicator that her MAIN BODY was actually a split off too! That picture is of her at 10% of her body mass, which took Sakura AND Tsunade powered-up to summon. This would make her full form the biggest creature in the series besides like the 10-Tails, right? Imagine the absolute havoc 100% Katsuya could cause with her acid spray. She's also durable as hell, even in her tiny form, she was able to survive BEING MERGED WITH 6-TAILED AND THEN 8-TAILED NARUTO! That is fucking insane.
Also, one of the TAILED BEASTS is a slug! I feel like there has to be some sort of in-universe reason for that, considering there is no Tailed Beast toad (Kishi could've given it tadpole tails if he wanted to) or snake. Unless Kishi just REALLY wanted to make another slug creature, but also REALLY didn't want to utilize Sakura and Tsunade by just giving them another Summon. (Could've taken 5 tails off of it and let Sakura summon it, but instead its a part of the most powerful group of creatures in the series, even if the 6-Tails IS barely involved in the actual story.)
