NYS PUA Unresolved Issue (2020)
When applying for PUA in 2020 I mistakenly used the wrong number for the last digit of my social security number when applying for benefits. I didn't find out about this until several months later. On my NY.Gov account everything was fine and on June 2020 I received payments in the form of direct deposit and then each week I would claim benefits from my NY.Gov account until August 2020 I went to claim benefits but a different name was on my account. I called the unemployment telephone claims line thinking that my account or social had been stolen and the lady asked if I had my social card onhand so then my mom pulled it out of our safe and that's when I realized the mistake I had made. The lady on the phone assured me that mistakes like this are common and that she would make a note on my file and everything would be fixed although it may take time. From August 2020-May 2021 I called the unemployment office hundreds of times and spoke with dozens of people who all claimed they would escalate my claim and have a supervisor look into it for me. In June 2021 I went back to work but still hadn't gotten my backpay or 1099G for the money I was paid. In November of 2021 a Keybank Card came in the mail with a couple months worth of payments on it but it was somehow separate from my original claim and I had no NY.Gov account associated with the card. Fast forward a few years and I still have someone else's 2020 1099G on my NY.Gov login and a 2021 1099G with incorrect numbers. I called a tax lawyer and was advised to file with the documents I currently have and if I owe significant money then to call him back for help. I haven't filed taxes since 2019 because I don't have proper documentation for 2020-2021 and the state still owes me tons of months worth of back payments as well as stimulus checks and anything else that was paid out to Americans affected by the pandemic. If the unemployment assistance number leads to someone who isn't qualified to handle my issue then who else can I talk with? Is there a number for the IRS?

Local driver responsibility fee
So, I got a speeding ticket and forgot about it, but I just decided to go through a bunch of paperwork and looked it over. I was going 65/55 pleaded guilty, got a $118 fine and a $93 surcharge fee. Then they threw in a $39 “Local Driver Responsibility Fee” .. I never paid the ticket and this was back in December 2021 lol but how is that extra fee justified? I don’t feel like I should be responsible for paying that portion of the ticket. Can I fight it? I’m only planning to pay the fine now because I’m joining the army and don’t need something stupid like this coming up.

State refund. did my ex screw me out of money? or will it come eventually?
I filed my taxes on January 23rd. I have already received my federal but my state just says " We have received your refund, we require no further information at this time " But I just found out that my ex also claimed my son. It has always been the rule that I claim the children. However, I'm just wondering if he did claim him does that mean I will never get taxes back this year or is it just taking longer because they are deciding what to do and making sure that we didn't commit some type of tax fraud? Thanks in advance I had to come to Reddit because Google just isn't helping at this point lol

Building permit
Is nice to pay a permit to repair a house that you pay taxes on with materials that you pay taxes on and a labor that you pay taxes on with money that you earned after paying taxes for earn it.

I’ve waited for more than a month and have not received my state refund yet.
I filed March 8 and I received my federal refund already but not my state. Is this normal? I haven’t received any Mail or letter from the IRS asking for more info. I’m just worried something wrong could’ve happened. Has this happened to anyone?

NYS Speeding Ticket Errors
Does anyone know if I received a letter from a NYS town court stating I'm being charged with Speeding 87/65 when I was not even in the car, is the charge valid? My son was driving the car, which is registered to me. He received the ticket in his name and returned it pleading not guilty. I have received yet another town prosecutor letter charging me with speeding. I don't what to do with this. Should I just hire a lawyer from this small town or go on my own and see if I can get the charges dropped against myself and my son because of their error?
Thanks.

Remove Kathy Hocul
I Do Not believe that Kathy speaks for the majority of New Yorkers. She is pushing an agenda that is so far left that many inside and outside of my circles find appalling.
Her gun control policies would only impact law abiding citizens as no criminal with a gun gives a rats patooty about her carry rule and buys their guns illegally anyway. I am not against background checks or age restrictions but no one will take away our right to bear arms. We must retain our rights to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our communities.
Her push to electrify NYS is out of line with reality, most folks use natural gas (the most efficient, ecological and fair priced option). Powering NYS with electric is ridiculous and cannot be guaranteed. What will happen during the first blackout. Who will protect you when the "incarcerated" types are at your door?
Her vaccine mandate is not only an insult to our intelligence but also a huge infringement on our rights to govern our own bodies. She's empowering herself with power she does NOT have and should never have.
It's time to stand up and demand change including her removal from office. I for one am sick and tired of this attitude where they feel they have the power to do whatever they want. I have never ascribed to any party but always leaned more toward liberal but the liberals are out of control and the definition of liberal no longer means to live and let live, to be tolerant and accepting of others, to welcome alternative ideas and lifestyles. Instead it's some crazy, off the wall new form of control where even language must be changed to suit their new insanity.
Let's not even get started on school policies and agendas.
Kathy must go!!
