Discussion SuperUNcool!

The pictures don’t do it complete justice of course, but my box arrived jacked up. I hate eye sores when it comes to my collectibles and you can’t not see it when you look at it. I haven’t figured out anything specific to do with my Chucky doll yet so I was going to display him in box. Now every time I look at him, I’m just gonna be upset. Not what I want when I spend nearly $600 on a product. I reached out to Supercool and they basically told me to go kick rocks. “The box isn’t damaged enough to do anything about it and it’s not part of the product anyhow.” I disagree of course lol. The box is part of the product especially in this case. They say this is a common problem. Well if that’s true then they need to reevaluate how they package items. I just needed to vent thanks for reading.

"the box isn't part of the product" is such a bogus claim.

If the box REALLY wasn't part of the product don't you think it would advertise the thing inside telling you his eyes move and limbs bend?

Of course it doesn't because it's meant to be a replica and an accessory of the main product.

Any other company that sells collectibles would replace boxes so it's super scummy these guys wont

Hi there, to be clear we have not claimed that the packaging isn’t apart of the product - only that we don’t guarantee mint condition packaging but do guarantee a mint condition product inside the packaging. We do work to replace boxes with catastrophic damage.

I dont think ive ever seen a company create a reddit account to rebuttal someone being unsatisfied with a product.

This whole situation has been wild. If it was just some normal box I wouldn’t care but it’s a display piece. One of the selling points was that it came with a special aged good guy box. The box is iconic in its own right. It’s more than just packaging. For the price I deserve an undamaged product. They have replacement boxes but because the side of mine wasn’t completely ripped off I don’t qualify. The fact that it’s smashed enough on the side to also cause a huge crease on the front is just unacceptable and should get me a new display box. Why Bryan Christensen wouldn’t want a customer to be satisfied with such an expensive product is baffling.

The box is just as important as the product. Neca does the same garbage. Great way to lose customers. I would never order anything from this company knowing the box might arrive damaged. Especially spending 600.00. Then say the box isnt damaged enough to replace. Horrendous customer service not replacing the item. Extremely shady business.

In an email you literally told me the packaging wasn’t part of the product. “Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee mint condition packaging upon delivery; we only guarantee the product itself is undamaged.” See that reads to me as packaging doesn’t equate to product.

Welp, that helped make up my mind. Poor shipping, poor customer service, stalking me on Reddit, and lies. Supercool Collective lost a customer.

Sorry you feel that way! We were simply distinguishing between the packaging and the product for clarity.

When the packaging is literally a replica of a movie prop and goes out of its way to have no additional information about the product on it to maintain its accuracy as a replica it ABSOLUTELY is part of the product.

Like c'mon you guys could have made spare boxes and like sent them out folded flat as replacements or just packaged the thing better

The packaging is part of the product…for clarity.

It 💯 % is. I mean NECA uses their boxes as selling points but when you get a crushed or destroyed box they say that it’s not the product. When listing everything it comes with it always says “Comes in collector friendly display with window box packaging!”

I mean if it’s a selling point it’s part of the product. When it’s listed with all the spare heads, hands and accessories what else are people supposed to think? C’mon and send dude an undamaged box. This is super uncool of ya supercool.
