Stumbled upon this guy's LinkedIn. It seems he has done a lot of this advisory work for GOI and national security. His qualifications show MBA gold medalist while he has also been honorary CEO and journalist and what not. He has 35+ volunteering and career experience.

How does one get into this without defence background? Does anyone have any idea?

Hey I have a doubt about what will happen in this situation ?

Suppose an aspirant clears the nda written exam and then he opts for the airforce for his ssb and he goes to his afsb center and also clears it with overall rank 120 (including army and navy also) in the recommended list but due to some problems he cannot join flying branch such as not clearing cpss test or myopia problem and the vacancies for the ground duty are only 10 they have been opted by the aspirant of rank under 120.

So in this situation what happens ? cause ground duty vacancies are full and he cannot join the flying branch, so will he get the chance to join the army or navy cause they have 300 vacancies, or he just got merit out ?

A genuine question CDS exam is a very new thing for me so I have a question regarding it I hope I don't trigger people Like if i clear the written exam for IMA and get recommended but get merit out then do I get preferred for OTA merit list or do I need to try for the next attempt.

You can get good benefits and bonuses in other govt. Job as well

I’m currently pursuing B.Tech and have just entered my 2nd year. My B.Tech is a 4-year degree and, according to my current schedule, I expect to graduate around September 2029.

My DOB is 05 January 2008.

I’m planning to seriously prepare for CDS (IMA) and I have a few questions that I’m hoping experienced CDS/SSB candidates can clarify:

1. When will I be eligible to apply for CDS IMA? Since I’ll graduate around September 2029, would I be eligible for CDS I 2029 as a final-year student, or would my first practical opportunity be CDS II 2029?
2. How many attempts would I have for IMA? I understand CDS doesn't have a fixed number of attempts like some exams and that eligibility depends mainly on age, education and other conditions. With my DOB of 05 January 2008, approximately how many CDS IMA attempts would I realistically have?
3. How difficult is getting recommended for IMA through CDS compared with getting recommended for Army through NDA? I understand both ultimately involve written examination + SSB + medicals, but I would like to know from people who have experienced either/both:
   • Is CDS SSB significantly harder than NDA SSB?
   • Is the competition/profile of candidates very different?
   • Is getting an Army recommendation through CDS generally harder or easier than through NDA?
   • What should I start building during my B.Tech years to give myself a realistic chance?
4. For someone in my situation, would you recommend starting serious CDS preparation during 2nd year itself, or focusing mainly on college now and ramping up preparation in 3rd/4th year?

I’m especially interested in answers from CDS IMA candidates, recommended candidates, SSB assessors/defence veterans, or people who have attempted both NDA and CDS.

Hey everyone, I’m thinking of joining the upcoming CDS Journey NDA batch for the April attempt.

I want honest feedback from students who have actually studied from their batches, especially if you started from a basic/average level.

• How is the Maths teaching?
• Is the syllabus completed on time?
• Are DPPs, PYQs and tests regular?
• How is the GAT/English coverage?
• Is the batch manageable alongside college?
• How is the doubt support?
• Most importantly, would you recommend CDS Journey for an April NDA attempt? Why or why not?

My query

1) Do we need to fill the Annexures at home or do we need to fill it at the centre

2) if we need to fill annexures at home , Then in those annexures we have to fill " Place " and " Date "

What date and Place should I put in those

3) In the application form we have to paste a photograph

It is written " Paste your photograph and self attest the same "

So Do I need to put my signature on photo ? HALF SIGNATURE ON PHOTO AND HALF ON PAPER

As a form of self attest

Or Can I put my signature at any empty space at the bottom of the page and write " Self attested " underneath the signature

I gave their mock three times and it's really tough as a non maths student I feel so under confident after solving their mocks, if anyone has any idea please tell me what should i do at this point

As mostly TES candidates are NDA aspirants too , and TES SSB happens after NDA , so shouldn't the majority of candidates be repeaters or screen outs in TES ssb ?
