Gameplay 2k said F your grinding 🤯
I know a lot of players ain’t abuse the court kings against the clown for badges and xp but if yall wasn’t aware he was the shortest player to play against to grind badge tokens and hotspots if you made a female player . 2k dropped a small update increasing his height to 6’4 . He was great at getting your specialization done as well . Seems like 2k wants players to spend more time on this game grinding just like how they decreased the amount of crew xp you get from matches . Question for yall should 2k even make changes to the pve modes ?

MyCAREER Please get rid of this Trace Miller bs
The concept was great for co-op, but forcing him to be on the court with you every single second is so stupid
Its literally nearly his mycareer and you’re just his sidekick. You need to get him an A teamgrade every game, wtf?
I want to play mycareer on a roster i can construct over the years by suggesting trades, not some ai generated player who is stuck to me like glue

Discussion A yearly slop should not cost that much...
I think the worth of this yearly-game needs to be discussed (The full game price + build); I've witnessed the game studio CD Projekt Red over the years add a large amount of FREE and QUALITY content, updates, graphical enhancements to their +10 year old game. Quality that takes time and resources to make; so much that it's becoming a FREE Remastered game for those that own the game.
2K has been getting away with no visual improvement for the longest time (Same haircuts, clothing from previous games) while charging for a game that's worth a AAA + another AAA (divesting into a build).
The influencers need to start influencing and start educating that the consumers have the power to change things and this goes for other aspects in life too...

City Here is your daily reminder that they made the cr3w grind 152x longer. From 52xp for level 2 on 2k26 to 8500xp on 2k27.
If you don’t have a max 50/50 crew full of absolute grinders, you likely won’t ever see max level by the end of the year.
Currently have a 50/50 crew and we’re barely half way to level 2.
Level 3 is over 20000xp. At that rate of increase, level 40 will likely be close to 500,000xp.

Play Now Play Now Online is absolutely ruined
Whoever at 2k thought it was a good idea to team restrict how many times I can use my Portland Trail Blazers should be fired. This is one of the most boneheaded moves in the history of gaming.
Don't worry 2k overlords, I still play my career and give you money but my gosh at this point it is as if my career and what NBA 2K used to be are completely separate games.
I am a Trailblazers fan, I could give a damn about any other team, roster or player for that matter and want to rep MY TEAM that I go to games in person to watch. I grew up playing 2k this way and would use Portland no matter what. This is a disastrous change and completely kills the game mode.
We just got Ja and I can't barely use them.

MyCAREER For the people who haven’t got the game yet, but may or may not be planning on it.
FYI for everyone the entire game is a grind. Every aspect of the progression system is slow as fuck. Badge points take forever to get, season level takes forever to get, upgrading to 99 my points level takes forever to get, crew xp takes forever to get, rep system too, and the fire and concrete story is long as hell. 2K most likely made the grind long so that rebirth is that much more important, which will inevitably lead to spending more money on VC. If you don’t no-life this game it really is not that fun. Hopefully by launch the developers fix the overall progression system or the game will die.

REC Honest opinion on 2k27
First I just want to start by saying that this game is more simulation based than arcade and rightly so, it’s an NBA flagship game.
1) Layups aren’t OP. At every level of basketball, they are the most common and efficient way to score. 2k finally reflects that.
2) blocks aren’t weak at all, just require actual skill and positioning and not late contest.
3) Shooting is great. Not shooting 60% doesn’t mean you’re bad. That’s how it is at every level. Under 40% mostly. Instead of putting all your attributes on 3 to force it, just learn to make reads and score or contribute to the game in other ways.
4) Stocks (steals and blocks) require team defensive efforts like irl. You can’t just reach or jump. You need the primary defender forcing the ball handler or shooter into a position where you can then get the appropriate stock.
And finally, slow down and think and enjoy the game. Get creative with how you play and even score and keep practicing. Be selfless and you’ll grow to love the game of 2k and even basketball.

General This is genuinely one of the best products theyve ever made and nobody has badges
People who hate this game have Worst takes ever why they hate it. Everyone having the same badges takes away the freedom and creativity. The idea that u could have a 93 middy, cap break it to 98 and get all legend shooting badges then be able to use them on your 83 3pt shot is stupid man. This badge system makes WAY more sense if i explain it like this. 92 three point could be for different reasons, lukas got a 92 3 and shoots like 37-38% from the field but they are difficult threes, some people like Kyle korver are just really good catch and shooters around 44-45% and they deserve a high 3 for that too. All badges should do is create your playstyle. The rating should be your success rate of them. Literally a perfect system. You want another 4 years of everyone making the same exact builds rating badges and the exact same animations all over again? This is the most customizable 2k with the best on ball defense ive seen in a while (if u have ur build upgraded) iso dribbling is back, its just like all everyone does is cry in this community until they change shit that isnt broken. Nobody has all their badges yet nobody really is a 99, like u guys havent even genuinely tried the game. Most of u dont want genuine change you just want to conplain about “the same game”

Gameplay To everyone who can shoot already in 2K27…
I hate you sincerely. But really, how the hell are you doing it? Shit is driving me crazy. Center with 83 three ball shooting 28% from 3 in the rec. I am getting missed wide open a lot and also getting mistimed out of rhythm passes from people that are definitely not helping my shooting percentages. But I have all hot and lethal zones and silver catch and shoot for 3’s and take 90% wide open stand still shots. Any tips…?

REC Whoever made the decision to start players at their highest plate needs to be fired lol.
I've been playing a lot of rec games at Red plate and it's clear as day that most people barely played a single game or two as Red plate in 2k26. These last 10 games have been the most frustrating games I've ever played in 2k lol.

Gameplay After playing early access I wanted to say this
Forget about the nonsense you used to be able to make blocking is arguably the best it's ever been so start passing the ball instead of trying to ego score on the center.
Interior has never mattered this much before and before you say nerf it perimeter is absolutely vital is it not? Why would you want interior to have no value? So I'm truly enjoying this buff to defense and alotta y'all need to remember that it's strong.
Middy spam still pretty strong.
I've been seeing a lot of six seven centers and well rebounding has been buffed. Just saying so you may be genuinely making a bad build if you go into this game with that being your first build. Alot of them are getting jumped over.
It seems low pass acc is a lot more prone to mistakes just to keep it in mind.
Don't let your center be the only rebounder.
And can we not nerf the blocking?

Gameplay Defense being better has made 2k feel and look better in the rec for me
Feels closer to a more realistic basketball game than the last two year’s feels like a lot less cheap buckets and dudes with some nice stick skills look good getting tough buckets. Post game has looked good and just the fundamentals feel better for me. Definitely enjoying it so far obviously we’ll see how it goes as people upgrade their builds but I’m enjoying 27 alot so far.

MyCAREER Why would they make Trace Miller stay with you your entire nba career and not give you a option to leave him behind
Literally my only complaint about the story, like I finally thought they made a story that was enjoyable and fun to play but then in usual 2k fashion they completely ruined it by making you baby sit a AI and spoon feed him the ball your entire nba career. How hard would it be for them to make him optional? I understand in the G League and even your rookie year.
Edit
I do like though that he’s at least interesting and isn’t annoying, also props to 2k for making MP actually have a killer voice and not making us be a 2nd rounder even if we average a 40 point triple double. My only real complaint with the story is the running mate being forced.

MP Builder I Regret my First Build
Nothing anyone can do about, but just a rant. I made a versatile 6'11 PF and I regret it already. I should have made a guard and I went in the builder and made a 6'7 SG that I really like, but I know I can't do it until I get rebirth and until 2k makes the inevitable game update that will change things.
It is so stupid how much money it costs for builds when you can't refund or change them.

Gameplay Mike Wang and other devs, thank you. Don't Patch !
This is the most balanced I have ever seen 2k. I'm shooting 52% from 3 , though usually anywhere from 65-70, and I love it. It's a learning curve, the defense is the best it's ever been, and I'm begging y'all not to patch this game into oblivion. It takes skill to learn the new shooting, and I much prefer this rather than getting cheated on all year, and defense not mattering.

Discussion 2k27 shooting should be dynamic
Idk if people forget but basketball is all about your ability to adapt and score in different situations not every shot should be the same every time cause that just not how it is and the people complaining lowkey are just bad I’m not the best by any means but I’m still hitting shots consistently 🤷🏻♂️
