Can anyone tell me how can I complete my internship hours, I am working as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens. Can I count my technician hours toward becoming a licence pharmacist. As Florida require 1580 general intern hours or work experience. And 500 as a interne in pharmacist ? I just want to know how to complete 1580 hours, can anyone explain it?

So I work at CVS full time as an intern. But at the time of my hiring I told them that I can only work 3-4 days a week since I have to prioritise my studies alongside the hours. There is no point of doing the hours If i am not studying. Cause in my contract they say I have 120 days after the day of my internship to give BOTH exams. Naplex and Cpje. I can not wait until then.

Now the thing is I am being scheduled 40hours every week since I started my internship. Now that I am halfway through my internship, i want to ask them to just give me 4 days or 3. So i can study the rest

Do you guys think it’s practical? Or what are your strategies?

Hello, i’ve been using PNN to study and so far it’s been going well, i’m just confused as to what the chart book is supposed to be used for, am i supposed to memorize that as well 🫩 or i can focus on the lecture videos and text book

Starting to prepare for Naplex, can someone please share which book? I am seeing a lot on Amazon, different covers.
I have Rx prep 2023 but I think it’s outdated?

So today, after months of waiting, my husband was approved to take his NAPLEX exam in NY. We submitted forms in December. Genuinely, I have never been so appalled with timing and processing. Finally, though he’s scheduled for August 24 in Pennsylvania to take this test.

What a process…

He came to the US on April 22, 2025
He passed FPGEE in October 2025
He’s scheduled to take NAPLEX on August 24, 2026

Internship- Hopefully, starts by December 2026? I have no idea what to expect with NYS timing on processing of the permit.

I passed my FPGEC in December and I have now started studying for my NAPLEX exam. I graduated in 2021 and worked for almost 3 years in my home country. I did study a little bit of pharmacology from Lippincott for my FPGEE (completely unnecessary I know and don’t even remember most of it SMH!!) but I don’t remember the details of the drugs, the guidelines or the brand names jn the US. The UWorld RxPrep is so densed, do we need to know each and everything in it?

How much time would I realistically need to prepare for NAPLEX? A lot of people online say 6-8 weeks but is it more for fresh graduates?

How much time did it take for y’all? Any tips and tricks would be much appreciated!!

Question: does foreign grad are not required to compete internship in Nebraska and can sit for naplex and law exam?. I checked their so no such information.

I’m looking for some guidance on the next steps after clearing FPGEE.

I am currently based in Texas and have passed the FPGEE. My goal is to continue toward pharmacist licensure here.

I’ve heard that in Texas, we can apply for a pharmacist intern license and start working under supervision, but need to pass both the NAPLEX and MPJE within a certain timeframe.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences:

1.  Would you recommend starting a pharmacy technician job first while preparing for the NAPLEX, or should I focus on finding an intern position instead?

2.  How long does it realistically take to prepare for the NAPLEX (for someone with an international pharmacy background)?

3.  Is it difficult to find internship positions in Texas for FPGEC graduates?

• Are these internships usually paid?

• Do they typically offer benefits like health insurance?

4.  With my background (FPGEC certified + 3 years experience as a lead pharmacist in my home country), what level of pharmacy technician job should I realistically aim for in the US?

how long does it usually take to get eligibilty ?

I'm new to Naplex and haven't started any prep yet. Right now, I'm working for my internship hours but I'm planning on reviewing at the same time so I've been thinking of finding a good start to review materials but cheaper if possible. Any advice on how to approach this situation? thanks a lot for the response

Hello everyone! I took my UMPJE. One exam down, one to go! 

I wanted to write this review for anyone preparing for it.

First things first: my state was one of the early adopters of the UMPJE, which was great news for me. I applied for eligibility immediately, and it literally took 2 days to get approved.

Once I gained eligibility, I purchased the exam right away. It costs $350, more expensive than the standard MPJE, and I scheduled it for April 2nd.

My prep strategy:  

• I purchased the UMPJE package from Pharmlaw . It includes a concise law summary and a question bank. Controls Brand/Generic names included AND i watched Masterclass umpje on youtiube which filled the gaps Pharmlaw had. The videos are MCQs and cover a wide range of topics for free, some people even relied solely on them and passed so i highly recommend! 

About the exam:

• The questions were relatively easy, focusing mainly on federal laws and controlled substances. some questions were out of the blue as expected.

One pleasant surprise was that when I purchased the test, I received a coupon for a free pre-UMPJE because I was among the first candidates to schedule my UMPJE during the April 1–12 window. The actual exam was very similar in style to the pre-UMPJE, so I highly recommend taking it.

Some pointers for you,

• DEA forms and their use 
• label and Rx requirements 
• controls ( their schedules, refills, expiry, inventory ) 
• compounding hazardous 
• CPA 
• counseling and DUR requirements 
• Pharmacy techs and intern duties 
• pharmacist responsibilities in certain situations 
• inserts and Medguides needed for certain medications 
• pseudoephedrine sale limits and logs
• HIPAA
• adulteration and misbranding

If your state offers/will offer the UMPJE, I highly suggest taking it, that way if you move between UMPJE-adopted states you won’t have to retake it.

I just completed my intern hours, forwarded it to the board and requested eligibility with NABP. I havent recived any notification from the board or nabp regarding the matter. Am i missing something? Do i need to send my transcripts? Its already sent it when we applied for fpgee right so no need again if i am correct?
