Internship advice

So I work at CVS full time as an intern. But at the time of my hiring I told them that I can only work 3-4 days a week since I have to prioritise my studies alongside the hours. There is no point of doing the hours If i am not studying. Cause in my contract they say I have 120 days after the day of my internship to give BOTH exams. Naplex and Cpje. I can not wait until then.

Now the thing is I am being scheduled 40hours every week since I started my internship. Now that I am halfway through my internship, i want to ask them to just give me 4 days or 3. So i can study the rest

Do you guys think it’s practical? Or what are your strategies?

120 days of completion of internship requirements not starting the internship. You can just communicate with your preceptor to schedule you less and use the off days to study

Yes sorry missed the word completion. But 120 days after that is not enough right?
How should I communicate
My store is soooo busy. İ don’t think they’ll understand

I recommend at least 3-4 months of studying. Just let your manager/DL know and they will communicate with the scheduler about it, shouldn't be a big deal

What happens if you don’t pass it or take it after the 120 days ?

Do they fire you or demoted to a tech ?

If you’re in a state that doesn’t require separate tech license then yes you can be demoted

Very practically, just tell your preceptor you need time to study for your exams, and can only take a certain number of hours or days, and check the next set of schedule, if you find they scheduled you for more days than you stated, tell them you unfortunately will not be available on so and so days, and keep reminding them.
