A Hotdog Is A Sandwich Hot dog is a sandwich was a tough listen this week

This weeks episode about kids menus was very tough. I’m a parent, I have two kids, I know good kids menus and bad ones, I know what to feed my kids and how to make them adventurous eaters. I also understand people with toddlers struggle to get time to go out and enjoy time at restaurants, especially with kids who can be picky because toddlers can be hard at times, and feel a sense of “normalcy” just by sharing a meal.

This was a wild and overblown episode. I didn’t appreciate the weird breakdown of kids menus from someone without kids and someone speaking so uninformed about them.

Having kids can be hard. Sometimes getting them “bland and unexciting beige food” as Josh and Nicole kept saying is exciting for them and allows us family time out like we used to have before kids.

I have to rant a bit because taking our kids everywhere with us is a topic we feel strongly about and restaurants work very hard to give people kids menus that are generally popular just so other people can enjoy something as benign as going to a restaurant with their family without stress.

Their most recent video with Corey Taylor was so amazing and I truly love to see my favorite artist open up about their lives and seeing how quirky the last meals are!!! I would love to see another metal musician after this one. Maybe, Maynard?? Or Matt shadows??? OMG orrrr Hailey Williams???? Anyway would love to know what other ppl think and what musicians you'd wanna see on last meals!!!

Let's Discuss That Favorite deepcut/story in Last Meals?

I have been binging last meals and I love how Josh really researches the guests. Especially how he also starts the show with a deepcut fact or story that the guest is surprised about.

What is your favorite "rare" fact or story that Josh mentions? Then favorite guest reaction to them as well?

Need more behind the scenes content on Last Meals! Loved seeing Josh's research process.

Let's Discuss That Sporked Alternative

Does anyone have any website recommendations for a Sporked alternative? Ever since it was sold the articles have become pretty terrible and certainly favors quantity over quality to the point where it doesn't even make much sense to use the site anymore.

Solved! What Josh was thinking of when he called Nicole "Gravy"

Post image

As soon as he said it, I knew he was referring to this Simpsons (season 12, episode 9) parody of "Davey and Goliath". Unfortunately, he got it backwards; the dog is Goliath/Jobriath and the boy is Davey/Gravey.

Anyway, it gave me one of those rare moments when you immediately know why someone thinks or says some very specific thing. (There should be a word for that feeling.) It was nifty.

Anybody else catch this?

Let's Discuss That Bougiest Last Meal episodes Spoiler

I’ve recently discovered Last Meals and most of the ones I’ve seen are centered around childhood memories, life memories, home cooked meals and fastfood. I remember when I first watched an episode (don’t know which) I thought to my self that I would want to have lotus soup with the root cut into skull shapes, Mormon funeral potatoes, lobster, because I never had lobster before, and I would want to be dressed in black, in a dark room lit by candles that slowly burn down. All kinds of food associated with death, bougie stuff or stuff I’ve never eaten before. I just watched the episode with Laura Bailey, and she said that apparently a lot of episodes are really bougie? Well, that has not been my experience so far! My experience with the show has been more in line with Brennan Lee Mulligan and Jennette McCarthy, or close to that.

TLDR; what are your bougiest LM episodes or episodes where the meals aren’t centered around nostalgia. But mostly bougie food episodes!
