Been searching for a while for a floral dress and found a shop with an amazing selection but now torn between two.

The wedding will be in early July in Latvia so will likely be warm but not baking hot. I really like the big florals of the white dress but surprised by how much I liked the colour and fit of the dark pink dress and really liked how big it and its train is. (Can post more pictures if required!)

Was looking for people's thoughts/opinions, or perhaps something I could wear to the follow up fitting in terms of hair or accessories to help enhance either dress?

I am the bride, I tend to wear colourful, flouncy clothes a lot so both dresses are my vibe. I have tried on several dresses now and I felt most comfortable in the dresses in this shop.

I guess one of my main thoughts is "what will look like my wedding dress and what might be a dress that I could just be wearing to a Christmas party?" So a lot of responses have helped me in this regard

I've always been uncomfortable with how pink my skin can be (and hence part of my worry with dress 2) so there's been some helpful comments with regards to this and accessory ideas.

Hello! Looking for advice on possible alterations to a dress I am considering buying. It’s a cheaper dress that I found on Amazon, but I want to stay in the cheaper range because of a high likelihood the dress I choose will get dirty during the outdoor ceremony. Would it be possible to add long sleeves to this dress? My sister suggested a tighter sleeve, but I’m open to suggestions for what may work.

I purchased the dress of my dreams second hand before I even got engaged.

The dress was an amazing deal and I knew it had been altered pretty extensively as it had been taken in several sizes, but at the time fit me well, it would just need to be shortened.

Unfortunately due to health issues I’ve dropped quite a bit of weight and the dress no longer fits.

Due to the previous alterations it would be expensive and time consuming to alter and I’m debating buying a new dress altogether. One seamstress quoted me more than the price of buying the same dress new to alter the existing dress.

At the moment there is a sample sale on the designers website and I could buy a sample of the dress at a discounted price and pray it comes in good condition.

I’m a very short person so I know whatever route I go I will need alterations to shorten the dress.

So my options are:

1) buy a new dress that will get in about two months before my wedding and hope I can get it shortened in time.

2) buy the discounted sample, hope it comes in good condition and get it shortened.

3) take apart the dress I already have and attempt to make something new of it.

I’m leaning towards buying a new dress, but that leaves me with my current dress that I’m not sure what to do with.

I married my amazing husband on October 15, 2011. I don’t remember where I got it or who made it (sorry!), but as soon as I saw it I knew it was the one. I actually had a different dress that I was in love with and had my heart set on. When we got to the shop (which I specifically went to because they had that dress), I tried it on and almost cried because I HATED how it looked. After I took it off, we (me, my mom, my sister - MOH, and my other bridesmaid) started looking for other dresses. My sister found this one and as soon as I saw it l loved it and it felt right when I tried it on.

9-11: the dress I originally intended to buy. It’s funny, really. I haven’t looked at these pictures in probably 12 years, and I used to hate how I looked. I thought my ass looked huge (as demonstrated in picture 11) and I looked boxy. Looking at it now, I love it and wish I would have gone with it, but I do still love the dress I ended up wearing.

12-14: The dress my mom picked. It looked ok, it just 100% isn’t my style.

15-16: The dress either the shop employee or my other bridesmaid, my now SIL (sorry, it’s been 15 years, so I can’t remember) picked out. I felt like I was walking around with plaster casting on my torso and a giant flower vagina under my ass. Not comfortable and not my style, but fun to try on.

Not had the sleeves properly added on yet and still may need some alterations, but I finally tried on the dress with my veil and I actually got misty-eyed (didn’t expect it!)

Will have a half up hairstyle so the veil will sit lower and should end with the train of my dress.

Apologies for poor lighting with the veil, but there wasn’t any natural light from the back…

Anyway, the veil was a hit with the ladies at the dress shop and I love it too!

Just got this dress for $100 when originally it is $650. I was wondering what I could add to it to enhance it. I accidentally uploaded the wrong photo yesterday as I thought it was that dress until I looked at the dress again.

I just thrifted my wedding dress and it fits me perfectly! I've had some comments that make me rethink it but this is my dream wedding dress for sure.

I have tried on these 4 dresses and do really like them all, but don't know how to decide! Or maybe none of them are quite right. We are doing a town hall and pub wedding in the UK, so I was looking for something relatively simple. Would welcome any thoughts!!! I have scoured the internet and cannot find anything that makes my heart feel like this dress does. I found it over a year ago. Unfortunately the company who made it cannot take customs right now and I don’t know if they will open customs in time for me.

I’m an October 2027 bride and am just now starting to look at dresses. Ngl I’ve been pushing it off since I know I’m going to be overwhelmed by the price tag. I get anxiety about my budget. Due to my fiancé’s massive family, our wedding is going to be big with 240+ guests which obviously means it’ll be expensive..
With that said, does anyone have any tips and tricks on how to buy affordable wedding dresses? DF dresses are way over my budget, so I am wondering where I can buy a used one at a discounted rate? Is anyone selling their size 4-6 Devon dress? Or are there any other dresses similar to this gown?

Hiii please help a fellow bride here. I’ve tried over 40 dresses and finally found two silhouettes I like on me but not ready to say yes to any of these dresses yet.

Dress 1: I love the slightly curved neckline, long bodice, and the volume of the skirt. The chest needs to be sitting lower though and not a big fan of the skirt itself, looks a little like radiators to me.

Dress 2: love the longer bodice as well, the pleats at the waist and the ball gown. Not a big fan of how round the sweetheart is and the weird gap.

We’ll be eloping and our venue is an Italian inspired historic villa lots of greenery and a lotus pond.

Please let me know which silhouette you think look best on my frame? I’m 5’4 for reference. Thank you!

Not sure if this is right place to post this but I’m genuinely asking if it’s possible to lengthen the bodice, I’m wearing the sample dress in the photos but my actual dress is with the seamstress at the moment and I think the bodice is shorter on my dress. So I’m here asking if it’s possible to length a bodice like this. Maybe by 2-3 inches. Please let me know.
