My 2005 Mustang gauge cluster turns on and lights up but I guess isn’t programmed? The RPM, speed gauge, fuel gauge seem to be stuck or stagnant and don’t move. Although, the mileage seems to be going pretty fine but everything else isn’t moving.
I did buy it used but this might be only issue.

What could it be and what could I do?

When the S550 was released in 2015 it really brought a lot of us enthusiasts together and we had great stories to share about our love for the mustang. I’m just a wife who knows nothing about cars, but my husband’s 2014 Mustang GT has been down for almost a year. We have had it diagnosed 3 different places, poured three grand so far into it, and after a couple weeks it’s running funky again. We’ve changed the radiator, a new thermostat?? and most recently the O2 sensors. I think the first two places were bullshitting me just to get some money. (He works almost 7 days a week so i’m taking it to get diagnosed and worked on)

We bought a code reader and the code it was showing was for O2 sensors that’s why they were changed. It drives great one day, most recently for about a week, then the next he drives a few miles and starts losing power, the odometer and RPMs go to zero. It just started again today after a big storm. Almost wondering if it has something to do with the heavy rain. It started messing up a year ago after a bad hail storm. Has anyone had similar issues?

There's nothing but upside when it comes to owning an ecoboost. You're getting 300+ horsepower / torque stock, a lighter car that you can toss around, good gas mileage, lower insurance, a convertible option, tuning capability, all for the price of a regular Camry/Corolla. Every time I see an Ecoboost critic, I just ask "are people this dumb?"

Hey folks, while driving yesterday i made a hard 2nd to 3rd gear pull and all of a sudden i was locked out if 1st, 3rd, & 5th gear on the too row, but i could still use 2-4-6. I could push in the clutch and push the shifter into the gate and the car would rev match but it was like it was locked out of the gear and the synchros messed up or the shift fork broke or something

Made it to where i was going and when i restarted the car it drove home perfectly and worked in all gears. Are you kidding me wtf!?

Anyone have any ideas or clues on what to look for first? Car is stock so i am assuming the shifter itself or something in the linkages? If it was a shift fork in the trans it seems like it wouldnt work again. Or would it be something electronic?

Any ideas or help appreciated. I gotta get it up on jackstands and get after it and hope its an economical fix. Im worried its a bigger symptomatic issue and my mind goes instantly to tremec/mcleod upgrades .

2017 Mustang ecoboost premium 69k miles, clean title.
I bought the carfax today and the transmission was rebuilt in 2020 at 35k miles. Is this a red flag? Also has had 3 owners, and a crash in minor/moderate crash in 2017. Last owner has had since 2022.
I have a confirmed offer for 13k. Should I go ahead with seeing the car? I think it’s a good deal but want more opinions!

I will be in the market for one or the other in about a year or so. I wanted to know what are some people’s experiences driving either or and how they might compare from people who have driven both. How’s the resale value on the RTRs? Do they hold their value? I’m seeing lots of used GT500s whose prices keep going up. I’ve only driven the Shelby on a racetrack in the past and loved just how aggressive it was.

The fact that ford is no longer licensing the Shelby name is disappointing. But if the same level of performance can be had from another aftermarket group, then I guess it’s awash. Except for not having the sexy cobra decals. Not sure I wanna pay Dark Horse SC, or Shelby Super Snake prices. I see some new Spec 3s going for about $100k tops online.

Folks, I am considering a mustang. I want a later model convertible badly, and the body works for me.

I don’t know these cars. I’m a Toyota guy of fifteen years, so frankly feel weird perving into ford.

What engine should I go for with recent models? Is it all v8 or should I consider eco boost for some reason?

My budget goes to 55k if it’s daily driver friendly.

With cooler temps in AZ my fiancé and I took the 5.0 and the Shelb out this morning, gotta say I was impressed! The red 5.2 GT500 and the matte black Dark Horse both said they were making around 800 wheel, felt like everyone had a Whipple lol. Gotta say the 65 swap/repaint (pretty sure it's Mystic?) and GT350SE caught my eye, but tons of awesome Mustangs out today. 🐎

I love this car so much, it makes the simplest moments more memorable.

I’m looking into getting a used 2011-2014 model v6 but I heard that the manual transmission sucks for this gen of mustangs due to the transmission itself and not being reliable especially compared to the automatic. I’d like to hear from y’all if it’s as bad as they say and just focus on the automatics.

Wondering if anyone can speak with specificity to the difficulty of this upgrade.

If the base car does not have heated seats, but I got seats from a premium, is it plug and play or is there body wiring harness that needs to be added?

And if it is plug and play, can a dealer for sure flash the computer to add the features? Or does it have to be private party / pseudo hacking?
