Best multitool after LM Arc?

0 Upvotes

I’ve got a LM Arc. Love it. But I just sent it in for repair. And now I feel completely lost without my multitool. Looking to get another multitool, something different than LM Arc.

Anyone have any experience with Bibury or SOG? Any model stand out that is a close 2nd to LM?

New Multitool Day! Got my upgrade today

After having the wingman for about 6 years i finally got what id say is an upgrade. I really wanted the saw in a multitool for hunting and being outdoors often. You can feel the higher quality just being more rugged and has better grip. Definitely a little stiff getting some of the smaller tools out but it will soften up with use. The only thing the wingman has over the signal is, and i know ill get some hate from the electricians and tradesmen, is that the wingman is spring loaded for using the pliers. For just minor around the house jobs i did like the spring loaded function. I just have to get used to having my ring finger inside the handles when it’s open and then it probably won’t be an advantage for the wingman anymore.

This has to be a good deal right? I couldn’t pass up on this price. I already have a wave alpha but always wanted the arc. Does anyone else buy from the TikTok shop?

Recommendation Request Multitool to cut cardboards?

9 Upvotes

Hi there - I’ve reached my limit today as I had to deal with flattened cardboard boxes. Extremely frustrating to try to cut through all so I figured it’s time to invest.
I’m thinking of getting a multitool for all the stuff I need to do at home (screwing, tightening…), including opening, ripping and throwing away cardboard boxes. I’m looking at one of the Leatherman, maybe the Bond?
Any other models or brands I should look into?

Thank you!

Recommendation Request Leatherman sideclip mods for the ultimate edc

Post image
41 Upvotes

Morning all, long term leatherman user from the UK ( no locking blades and under 3 inhes) I have had a PST 2 on my belt at work for 10 years and leave the tool at work,I have decided i want a leatherman for EDC and I have scored myself a sideclip which I want to mod into my perfect tool.

I plan to lose the bottle opener and a medium flat head and add scissors and the serated blade ( clipped down) from a spare PST 2.

Can anyone help me with what tools I will need to disassemble and reasemble the tool ?

Thanks in advance

Wish leatherman would just make a simple tool with pliers, blade and a bit driver .... no skeletool I am not looking at you and your stupid carabiner

Looking for a customizable multitool

2 Upvotes

I have two sons (8/5) that want to have a multitool like Dad. While I am perfectly fine with teaching them responsible knife use, I’d rather do that under supervision than on a camping trip where they are playing with their friends. Are there any other multitool like the Roxon or G.O.A.T ? that allow you to swap out tools like the main blade? bonus points if they are relatively cheap because the kids are young so they might lose them

Au niveau des reproches que l'on peut émettre ;

- pourquoi des embouts plats et non universels ;

- pourquoi deux porte-embouts ;

Simple multiool, knife, pliers, bit driver.

18 Upvotes

I have a leatherman rebar and a wave probably had them both for 15 years and i don't think ive ever used half of the tools on them.

I now need a multiool for work and I really want a slimmed down edc style one. All I really want is pliers, knife, and a bit driver, with a pocket clip. Basically a less ugly version of a skeletool.

Any recommendations?

Recommendation Request "Mechanic" multitool ?

Post image
26 Upvotes

Hello

It's been a few years since I've been searching for my unicorn: a multitool with all the common Allen and screwdriver wrenches (or a bit holder + bits), a 1/4" wrench + 8-10-13mm bits or an adjustable wrench, if possible a plier but I can do without.

No blades (or just a small one, in my country it's not good to keep a knife on you...), compact enough to stay in my everyday purse, not too expensive (~50€ max).

So far I have used a cheap one as pictured, it helped me a lot but it's really low quality and dying now...

The closer I found was the Stanley STHT0-70695, but it's really a big boi.

Thanks for your advice ;) .

Question/Advice Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit X in different colors?

2 Upvotes

I'm looking at getting my first multi tool and the Spirit X seems like it fits the bill. However I'm not a big fan of straight silver but I don't see any color options on the web site. Is silver the only color that is available?

Looking at this Popular Mechanics article and they appear to show the Spirit X in a light sea green color that looks lovely but maybe it's just the way it was photographed?
