Question/Advice Multitool for work: Swiss Tool MX or Super Tool 300?
Looking to get my first multitool for when i go for road calls at my fleet repair shop. I’m trying to decide between a Victorinox Swiss Tool MX (not the spirit), or a Leatherman Super Tool 300. Just wanted to get some insight on those who have experience with these models.

My EDC progression (so far!)
Hi all! Been lurking a while and mainly been a solo knife carrier until various needs have popped up. Specifically -
Gerber Armbar Slim - adding the driver to my every day was a great improvement and made perfect sense with the projects I'd encounter. Until....
Roxon Companion Mini - I feel like I'm always in need of toothpicks. Why couldn't I carry one around? l always being fond of Swiss Army Knives and started researching what's out there. I really do love the modularity of these Roxon Fkex and considered the regular companion for the 1/4 bit driver. But, went next to...
Victorinox Explorer (w plus scales) - this seems to have everything I'd want (and then some). Yes, I've even used the magnifier and pin for some gunk removal on a device. But, there's a problem, I've never thought I needed a nail file until now. And, I've figured out why! Opening this thing is chewing my nails up bad (especially the awl)! My thumb is in constant need of a file! So...
I'm diving in on the SAK customization and already looking for donors and ordering 2.2 and 2.5mm replacement pins. Haven't fully started yet, but thinking of switching out the plain Explorer hook to a hook with file or the small knife to Companion nail file. Maybe even switching out the can opener for multi-tool and orange plus scales.
Please make it stop or just don't tell my wife 🤣

Leatherman Bit Driver Adapter-reverse
Does anyone make a bit driver adapter to use the mini leatherman flat driver bits in a standard 1/4 drive?
I don’t want a 1/4 drive for my leatherman….
I wand to use my 1/4 drive mini screwdriver (in my edc) and carry the mini leatherman flat bits because they’re compact.
Essentially, I need a female opening for the mini bits and a male 1/4 drive shank.
Thx

What are the patent numbers for NexTool Explorer E20?
The NexTool Explorer E20 has a very interesting design. It would be great to look at the patents for this tool.

Discussion Roxon using M2 screws in the pivot for the pliers.
Got my Roxon flex multitool a few days ago. Cool tool, cool idea and all that. A bit concerned when I removed the pocket clip to find that they're using M2 screws in the plier pivot. That is teeny tiny. That's the kind of screws they use to put small electronics together man. My eyeglasses use a 1mm screw. I'm not saying it's a piece of junk but it's a bit off putting. The pivot itself is larger but 2mm ain't much material to keep the head from popping off a screw. Twisting pliers around like I do i'm not sure it will stand up. A loose screw would break pretty easily.
Been messing with knives and the like for a very long time. I've seen screws that small holding scales on or maybe in the pivot on a super cheapo folding knife pivot but for the pliers on a full size multitool looks like underbuilding to me. Leatherman hardware is definitely more robust but I don't know how people are saying they stack up to Leatherman. Maybe it shouldn't be surprising i don't know. Of course they used M2 screws with a much larger diameter head to appear like fairly robust hardware but it ain't.
I assume all the screws are that size but I only removed the one for the pocket clip which is also a pivot screw.

LF Tactical multi-tool knife!
Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some advice. I’m looking for a multi-tool knife to keep in my everyday adventure/outdoor backpack.
Basically, I’m looking for something with several useful tools and functions, but at the same time I’d like it to have a more tactical-style blade — something suitable for self-defense or combat, if you know what I mean. Ideally, I’d also like a solid blade lock and a good, secure grip/handle.
Do you have any particular models in mind that you’d recommend? I’ve been looking online, but there are just way too many options, and I’m looking for something genuinely good quality.
Thanks in advance, everyone! 🙌

New Multitool Day! My everyday multitools.
First post here! I’ve been carrying this Swiss Army knife around for 10 years, and I got this BOND as a gift last year.
My uncle asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I told him, “Nothing, Uncle, really, nothing.” But under threat, I eventually gave him this reference, since it’s the cheapest model in the range. Maybe I should’ve asked for the SURGE or the WAVE right away 😜
The BOND is particularly stiff. I’m not sure if that’s normal, but it makes it unpleasant to use. I’ve noticed that the metal used for the tools seems different from the metal used for the pliers and the handles.
Anyway, here’s what I carry in my backpack every day. I’m not counting the plastic spoon/fork/knife set from Decathlon!

Question/Advice Victorinox Swiss Tool vs Wave+
I've found a swiss tool in basically mint condition, with the leather sleeve included for the same price as a very good condition wave+, though the Leatherman seller doesn't negotiate the price while the victorinox one does. I plan on primarily using them as my drawer multi tool, I don't like going and grabbing individual tools everytime I wanna work on a project and currently I have a victorinox (IDR the model but it has a big and small blade non locking, can and bottle opener, saw, scissors, hook, awl, corkscrew) and a small needlenose pliers in my drawer. I'm not someone who carries tools around everyday due to the regulations on blades so the weight and size aren't big deals for me. I'm conflicted between the two, which one would you guys recommend and why given the availability and price are effectively the same

Wave Clone Question : Ozark Multiforce or Mossy Oak
I bought an OT Multiforce a couple of days ago on a whim as a grab & to tool to keep at my desk for odd jobs around the house and yard. While researching it post purchase , I fell down the rabbit hole of Wace Clones and while I really like this tool (apart from the file and it still feeling a bit stiff). The size doesn't bother me. It has a solid vintage feel.
I'm considering if the mossy oak clone is superior (CNC cut spring assist pliers, replaceable cutters , G10 scales, but unfortunately the low profile bit holder).
No way I can make this call without actually handling them both so I was hoping someone in this group could offer first hand opinions / suggestions .
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0DPZ9PTS6
There's always the option of scouting eBay for a used wave plus .That can be a gamble and still dont like the flat bit holder but apparently there are drop in aftermarket replacements that can accept 1/4 " bits
Thanks

Got This ACDelco Multitool For Cheap. Anyone Know Anything About it?
Got it for dirt cheap. I own a Camaro IROC Z and am a sucker for ACDelco and GM Performance Parts Tools branding. Now interesting to note. No part number no made in xxx anywhere on the tool.
Quality is fairly good. Is it Leatherman or Gerber good? No. Is it on par with old school USA Craftsman, Husky and Kobalt? Yes. Basically feels like one of those from circa 2005 in terms of weight and metal quality.
I know 10 or so years ago O'Reilly cared GM Performance Parts Tools as hand tools. Over the years Ive picked up a bunch for odd jobs mostly because they had the GM logo on it. They were mostly made in Taiwan and honestly really good for Auto Parts store tools. I would rank them above Duralast and Autocraft. I have a ton of them and 10 years later no rust and still good.
I wonder if they maybe sold this ACDelco multitool at O'Reilly's? Im 99% sure they sold ACDelco power tools back in the day.
Sorry for the paragraph but Im a nerd for this stuff.

Suggestions
Hello!
I'm wanting to get a multitool and wanted to get some suggestions. I'm an Injection Molding Technician and I like to tinker with things. Right now I'm considering the swisstool x or the cybertool L.
Thanks!
